Abstract

On décrit des variations à partir d'une technique de base de fabrication d'un écran à diffusion ou à rétroprojection, comprenant un agencement de microlentilles produites par une exposition sélective à la lumière et la polymérisation sélective subséquente d'une feuille de matériau photopolymérisable. Ainsi, les lentilles peuvent être pourvues d'une forme allongée dans un sens préféré transversal aux axes des lentilles par l'exposition à travers un élément à mailles pourvu d'un alignement de fentes. Les lentilles peuvent avoir un indice de réfraction gradué et posséder un relief superficiel qui accroît la puissance de la lentille, ce relief étant produit naturellement ou par moulage. Le matériau photopolymérisable peut être exposé au moyen d'une lumière laser, par exemple à une image d'holographie, et une telle exposition peut être effectuée à travers une lame de quart d'onde mise en rotation continue pour éliminer des micro-défauts. On peut rehausser la puissance de la lentille en chauffant le matériau photo-polymérisable jusqu'à une température proche de la température d'amollissement du polymère associé avant de le soumettre à l'exposition à la lumière et en maintenant le matériau à cette température au cours de la polymérisation qui en résulte.
