Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for automatically and appropriately determining the maintenance time of an injection molding machine.
- Injection molding machines include consumable parts such as injection screws, heating cylinders and dies. If the consumable parts gradually deteriorate due to wear, corrosion, etc., the mold will not be sufficiently filled with resin, the holding pressure applied to the mold during mold clamping will decrease, and normal molding work will occur. Is inhibited. For this reason, conventionally, for example, when molding failure occurs, measures have been taken such as disassembling the injection molding machine and replacing consumable parts whose performance has deteriorated. However, if the maintenance of various consumable parts is performed after confirming the occurrence of molding defects, a large number of defective products will inevitably occur.
- the injection molding machine is periodically disassembled and the consumable parts are inspected and maintained.
- the degree of deterioration of consumable parts varies depending on the molding conditions, it is difficult to properly determine the maintenance and inspection time. Disassembly operations can damage the injection molding machine. Therefore, if maintenance work is performed more frequently than necessary, damage to the injection molding machine is likely to occur, and unnecessary work is expended, resulting in a decrease in the operation efficiency of the injection molding machine.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a method for automatically and appropriately determining the maintenance time of an injection molding machine without disassembling the injection molding machine.
- the method for determining the maintenance time of an injection molding machine includes: (a) periodically relating to a molding cycle in an injection molding machine including a plurality of types of consumable parts, and The latest plural sets of monitor data values are stored in the storage means in a time series from the plurality of types of detected monitor data values. Based on a plurality of types of monitor data values, the transition tendency of each type of monitor data is automatically and periodically determined by the determining means. (C) Based on the determined transition tendency, The determination means automatically and periodically determines whether or not at least one type of related consumable part has reached a predetermined deterioration level. (D) At least one type of related consumable part has deteriorated to a predetermined level. Judge that the level has been reached A warning to come with.
- each type read in chronological order from the storage means that stores the latest plural sets of monitor data related to the molding cycle and composed of plural types of monitor data. Based on multiple monitor data for Then, the transition tendency of each type of monitor data is determined, and a warning is issued when it is determined that the related consumable part of the injection molding machine has reached a predetermined deterioration level based on the determination result.
- a warning is issued when it is determined that the related consumable part of the injection molding machine has reached a predetermined deterioration level based on the determination result.

- Each of the first to M-th injection molding machines 7-1 to 7-M repeatedly executes a molding cycle (shot).
- shots During one molding cycle by each injection molding machine, during molding cycle
- the values of various process parameters such as one hour are detected periodically, and the detected parameter values are stored in the memory of the numerical control device 74 as monitor data candidates.
- the molding monitor 1 intermittently inputs various process parameter values for each injection molding machine as monitor data values, and monitors various consumable parts of each injection molding machine based on the input monitor data values. Determine the presence or absence of deterioration.
- the monitor data measurement processing shown in FIGS. 2A and 2B is executed by the PMC CPU of the injection molding machine.
- the PMCCPU starts the first timer TC for measuring the molding cycle time (step SO 1 ) And sends a mold closing command to the NCCPU (step SO 2).
- the PMCCPU stores in the first register PM, which stores the actual maximum injection pressure in one molding cycle, the value corresponding to the smallest possible value of the actual maximum injection pressure in a normal molding cycle.
- the second register SM for storing the actual minimum cushion amount in one molding cycle is used for the normal molding cycle. Set the screw back position in the previous molding cycle corresponding to the maximum possible value of the actual minimum cushion amount as the initial value (Step S03) o
- the movable platen In response to the mold closing command sent in step S02, the movable platen is driven in the mold closing direction, and then the locker Will be dropped. After confirming that the mold clamping completion signal indicating the lockup of the movable platen has been sent from the NCC ⁇ , the PMCCPU starts the second timer TI for injection time measurement. (Step S04) and sends a screw advance command to the NCCPU (Step S05). The injection process is started in response to the screw advance command. In the injection process, speed control is performed on the screw shaft.
- the PMCCPU reads the stored value SA of the current position storage register related to the screw axis (step S06), and stores the current screw position SA in the second register. It is determined whether the value is smaller than the value SM (step S07). If the determination result is affirmative, the stored value SM is replaced with the value SA (step S08). Normally, the minimum cushion amount S M is rewritten.
- step S09 following step S07 or S08 the PMCCPU reads the current injection pressure PA from the pressure sensor 73 via the AZD converter, and reads the current injection pressure PA. Is determined to be greater than the stored value PM of the first register (step S 010), and if the determination result is affirmative, the stored value PM is replaced with the value PA (step S 0100).
- Step S 0 1 Normally, the maximum injection pressure P M is rewritten.
- step S012 it is determined whether or not the screw has reached the screw position ST where the switching from the injection process to the pressure holding process is to be performed. If the determination result is negative (S A> ST), the process returns to step S06.
- step S012 the PMC CPU stores the current screw current position SA at that time as the actual injection / holding pressure switching position. And store it in the third register SVP (step SO13). If the operation of the injection molding machine is normal, the actual switching position SVP stored in the third register becomes substantially equal to the target switching position ST. On the other hand, if there is insufficient weighing or backflow, the value S VP may considerably exceed the value ST depending on the timing of reading the current screw position S A. In addition to storing the actual injection / holding pressure switching position SVP, the PMC CPU also stores the target injection Z holding pressure switching position s ⁇
- step SO 1 Store the injection time TI measured by the timer in the fourth register for storing the actual injection time TI, and reset the second timer TI (step SO 1 4)
- the PMCCPU reads the target dwell time preset as a part of the molding conditions from the memory of the numerical controller, sets it in the third timer TH, Immediately start timing by the timer (step S015), and set the torque limit value corresponding to the target holding pressure to the torque in the screw axis drive servo circuit. Set to the limit circuit (step S016). As a result, the pressure holding step is started. In the dwelling process, pressure control is performed on the screw shaft.
- the PMCCPU sets the Execute steps SO17 to S019 corresponding to SO8 to update the minimum cushion amount as necessary, and to set the minimum cushion amount through both the injection process and the holding pressure process.
- the amount of data is stored in the second register SM.
- the screw moves forward beyond the injection / holding pressure switching position as a result of applying the holding pressure to the screw during the holding pressure process. Is updated.
- corrosion of the gas vent formed on the mold 72 may hinder gas release, or if the holding pressure is too small, the resin pressure may be applied immediately after the start of the holding pressure process. The screw is pushed back. In this case, the minimum cushion amount is not updated during the pressure holding process, and the minimum cushion amount during the injection process is maintained.
- the PMCCPU determines that the target pressure-holding time has elapsed and stops outputting the screw forward command. Then, the current screw position SA at that time is read (step SO 22), and the amount of cushion at the time of completion of the pressure-holding process is recorded. This value SA is stored in the fifth register SC (step SO23). Generally, the holding pressure decreases gradually as the holding time elapses, so that the screw gradually retreats. Therefore, normally, the cushion amount SC at the completion of the pressure holding process is larger than the minimum cushion amount SM.
- the PMCCPU starts the fourth timer TE for measuring the actual weighing time (step S). 0 2 4), and sends a weighing start command to the NCCPU (step S 0 25).
- the weighing process is executed under the control of the NCCPU in accordance with weighing conditions preset in the memory of the numerical controller as part of the molding conditions.
- the NCCPU sends a weighing complete signal ii «o
- the PMCCPU In response to the weighing completion signal, the PMCCPU stores the actual weighing time TE measured by the fourth timer in the sixth register, and then resets the fourth timer TE (step S02) 6). Further, the PMCCPU reads the current screw position SA at that point (step S027), and stores the value SA in the seventh register SE for storing the actual weighing completion position (step S027). Top SO 28).
- the actual weighing completion position SE changes according to the actual cushion amount at the time of completion of the pressure holding process, and as described above, the initial minimum cushion amount in the next molding cycle Used as a value.
- the PMCCPU After storing the actual weighing completion position SE, the PMCCPU sends a mold opening start command to the NCCPU (step S029 '), and sends an actuator drive command to the actuator (step S029'). (Step SO30) o
- the PMCCPU measures the actual molding cycle measured by the first timer.
- the time TC is stored in the eighth register, and the first timer TC is reset. S 0 3 1).
- the PMCCPU calculates the actual maximum injection pressure P, the actual minimum cushion amount SM, the actual injection time TI, the actual injection time TI, and the time of completion of the pressure-holding process stored in the first, second, and fourth to sixth registers, respectively.
- the processor parameter values for the current molding cycle including the actual cushion amount SC and the actual measuring time TE at this time, are used as monitor data candidates, and the numerical control device memory is used.
- Step S032 It is stored in the table provided in (Step S032). Further, the PMCCPU increments the storage value SN of the built-in counter indicating the total number of shots in the first injection molding machine 7-1 by a value of “1” (step). Step S033), the monitor data measurement process shown in FIG. 2 for the current molding cycle in the first injection molding machine 7-1 is ended. The above process data measurement processing is executed for each molding cycle. As a result, the various process parameter values stored in the memory table are rewritten each time the molding cycle ends.
- the molding monitor 1 is the latest process technology for injection molding machines 7-1 to 7-M. Based on the radiator values TI, SM, PM, SC and TE, the maintenance time of the consumable parts of each injection molding machine is automatically determined. For this reason, the CPU 2 of the molding monitor 1 periodically executes the monitor data reception processing shown in FIG. In connection with this process, the P of each injection molding machine The monitor data transmission processing shown in FIG. 3 is periodically executed by the MCCPU.
- the CPU 2 sets the index j for specifying any one of the first M-th injection molding machine 7-1 7-M to the initial value “1” (step S 2 0 1), and sends a monitor data request signal to the numerical controller of the first injection molding machine 7-1 (generally, the j-th injection molding machine 7 -j) (step S 202).
- the PMCCPU of the first injection molding machine reads the latest process 0 from the memory table of the numerical controller.
- the meter values TISM, PM, 5 and 5 are read, and the total number of shots SN is read from the counter built in the PMCCPU and sent to the molding machine 1 (step S1). 0 2).
- step S203 CPU 2 sets the total number of shots SN to the first number).
- the total number of shots in the injection molding machine, SN 1 (generally, the total number of shots in the j-th injection molding machine, SN j) is temporarily recorded (step S 204).
- the value SN 1 is equal to or equal to the sum of the corresponding one of the stored values SB 1 (generally SB j) of the M registers provided in the RAM 4 and the predetermined value m.
- Step S205 0
- the initial value of the register value SBj is set to "0" in advance.
- step S205 determines that the monitor data update timing has been reached, updates the register storage value SB1 to the value SN1 temporarily stored in step S204, and updates the register storage value SB1.
- the process parameter values TI, SM, PM, SC, and TE received at step S203 are stored as the latest monitor data in the first to M-th data provided in the RAM 4. It is stored in the corresponding one of the lookup tables (here, the first table) (step S206).
- step S206 is executed. Instead, the process proceeds to step S207 described later. In this case, the process parameters received in step S203 are temporarily stored in step S204 in preparation for determining the overnight value and the next monitor data update timing. The number of shots SN 1 is deleted.
- the first to N-th address areas are provided.
- the address area corresponding to the last data set stored in the table is specified by the boyfriend Pj. Therefore, in step S206, the latest monitor data is stored in the table in the address area following the address area specified by the pointer Pj. If pointer P j indicates the Nth address area, the latest model --The evening data is stored in the first address area.
- the molding monitor 1 receives a new monitor data set, a new data set is replaced with the oldest data set.
- the monitor datasets are stored in a table so that the latest N monitor datasets are stored in chronological order. Then, after storing the latest monitor data set, the pointer P j is updated to a value representing the address area storing the latest monitor data set.
- step S205 the PMCCPU increments the index j by the value "1" (step S207).
- step S208 it is determined whether or not the updated index j is greater than the total number M of the injection molding machines (step S208).
- the monitor data update timing has been reached, the received monitor data TI, SM, PM, SC and TE are stored in the table in the RAM 4 .
- the monitor data reception processing for the third to M-th injection molding machines 7-3 to 7-M is sequentially executed, and the processing for the M-th injection molding machine is performed.
- the end of the monitor data reception processing is determined in step S208 of FIG. 4, the monitor data reception processing in the current processing cycle ends.
- monitor data reception processing is repeated at a considerably short cycle, and each time the m-th molding cycle is performed in each of the first to M-th injection molding machines 7-1 to 7-M, Monitor data TI, SM, P, SC, and TE for each injection molding machine are stored in the corresponding one of the first to M-th tables in the RAM 4.
- P 1 generally P j
- the first type identified by the index U
- the injection time T Ik + 1 read from the k + 1 address area of the first table corresponds to the point sequence data (1, XI), and the kth address area
- the injection time T Ik read out from the point corresponds to the point sequence data (N, XN).
- Point sequence data (i, Xi):! ⁇ N are uniformly distributed on both sides of the linear approximation.
- the CPU 2 substitutes the value N + n for the variable i of the first-order approximation formula, and calculates the injection time at the point of monitor data detection one cycle (mxn shot) ahead from the present
- the CPU 2 reads the upper and lower limit values of the injection time TI set in advance (generally, the upper and lower limit values X HUj and X LUj of the Uth type of monitor data) from the RAM 4 and calculates the estimated value of the injection time TI.
- step S308 since the determination result in step S308 is negative, the process returns to step S303, and the index U is incremented by "1".
- the index U is updated to 3, 4, and 5, the estimated values of the maximum injection pressure PM, the cushion amount SC at the completion of the pressure-holding process, and the measuring time TE are within the allowable range. -Determine whether or not to enter, and display a warning message if necessary.
- the CPU 2 examines the variation of the point sequence data with respect to the cushion amount SC and the weighing time TE, and the following description will be given in the form of a warning message.
- the injection time TI or the minimum cushion amount S gradually increases with time.
- the maximum injection pressure PM gradually decreases over time. Therefore, for example, when the estimated value of the injection time TI or the minimum cushion amount SM in the first injection molding machine exceeds the upper limit, a warning message “Injection time of the first injection molding machine” Is displayed (indicating gas vent) or "Minimum cushion amount of 1st injection molding machine is increasing (confirm gas vent)" is displayed.
- the warning message "The maximum injection pressure of the first injection molding machine tends to decrease (the Check wear) ” is displayed. Furthermore, if the heating cylinder or the ejection screw wears and backflow occurs, the cushion amount SC or the weighing time TE at the time of completion of the pressure-holding process varies. Therefore, for example, when there is variation in the point sequence data related to the cushion amount SC or the weighing time TE in the first injection molding machine, the display message “First injection” There is a tendency for the amount of cushion of the molding machine to vary (check the cylinder and screw). There is a tendency for the amount of time to vary (check the cylinder and screw).
- the? 1; 2 determines whether or not the index ⁇ is equal to the total number of injection molding machines ⁇ (step S309).
- the index j is incremented by "1" (step S302), and the five types of the second injection molding machine 7-2 are incremented.
- Maintenance time judgment based on monitor data Z warning processing is performed. Further, each time the index “′” is updated to “3”, “4”, and “5”, the same processing for the third to M-th injection molding machines 7-3-7-M is sequentially executed.
- step S309 Judgment of maintenance timing shown in the figure.
- the estimated values and the monitor data of various types of monitor data n cycles (m X n shots) ahead calculated based on the latest N sets of monitor data are obtained.
- the degree of deterioration of consumable parts can be automatically determined according to the presence or absence of variation, and a warning message that prompts maintenance and inspection of consumable parts before the consumable parts deteriorate significantly as molding defects occur automatically. Can be displayed at For this reason, there is a considerable margin between when the warning message is displayed and when the maintenance and inspection of the consumable parts is actually required, there is a risk that defective products may be inadvertently manufactured. There is no.
- the injection time, the minimum cushion amount, the maximum injection pressure, the cushion amount at the completion of the pressure-holding process, and the weighing time were detected as monitor data.
- the band heater temperature, the mold heater temperature, the energizing time to the band heater or the energizing time to the mold heater of the injection molding machine are detected, and the band heat or the mold heat is detected.
- the degree of evening wear can be predicted.
- a may be used as a criterion.
- the allowable maximum value and the allowable minimum value of the slope of the straight line are used.
- the deviation between the slopes of the straight lines calculated in the adjacent determination periods may be used as the determination criterion. In this case, the maximum and minimum allowable deviations of the slope of the straight line are used.
- a warning message is displayed.
- the corresponding one of the warning messages of different emergency levels for maintenance may be displayed.
- a warning with a different urgency may be issued.
- the transition tendency of the monitor data is represented using a first-order approximation formula, but a second-order or higher-order approximation formula may be used.

ス テ ッ プ S 0 7又は S 0 8 に続く ス テ ッ プ S 0 9 において、 P M C C P Uは、 圧力セ ンサ 7 3 から現 在射出圧力 P A を AZ D変換器を介して読み込み、 現在 射出圧力 P A が第 1 レ ジ ス タ の記憶値 P M よ り も大きい か否かを判別 し ( ス テ ッ プ S 0 1 0 ) 、 判別結果が肯定 であれば記憶値 P M を値 P A に害き換える ( ス テ ッ プ S 0 1 1 ) 。

更 に、 C P U 2 は、 時系列順位を表す整数 i ( i = 1〜N) と これに対応する射出時間 T I iとから各々なる N組の点 列データ ( i, X i) i = l〜N を作成する。
X i = a i + bを求める (ステ ッ プ S 3 0 4 ) 。
