Distributeur de serviettes - éventuellement de serviettes chaudes - à entraînement électrique, conçu de manière à empêcher que l'alimentation en eau assurée par une buse ne tarisse et que l'eau chaude contenue dans le réservoir d'eau d'alimentation ne refroidisse. L'appareil comporte un dispositif d'humidification pourvu d'une buse d'apport d'eau et conçu pour humidifier du papier en rouleau sur une certaine longueur, un réservoir d'eau permettant d'alimenter la buse d'apport d'eau et un dispositif d'alimentation en eau chaude assurant l'alimentation en eau chaude à une température désirée du réservoir d'eau. Le dispositif humidificateur comprend un rouleau auxiliaire et un rouleau humidificateur tournant au contact l'un de l'autre, un liquide étant déversé par la buse d'apport d'eau sur la surface du rouleau humidificateur par l'intermédiaire du rouleau auxiliaire afin d'humidifier cette surface de manière uniforme. L'eau servant à l'humidification peut être renouvelée de manière appropriée par un dispositif d'apport d'eau. L'eau est renouvelée à une température désirée par le dispositif d'apport d'eau chaude. De cette façon, la température de l'eau dans le réservoir d'apport d'eau peut être maintenue constante, ce qui permet de parer à toute défaillance dans la distribution de serviettes chaudes du fait d'une chute excessive de la température du liquide humidificateur.
