Abstract

On décrit l'application d'un composant à base de cuivre et d'un composant à base de manganèse sur la surface d'un substrat pour réaliser un revêtement présentant un rapport du cuivre au manganèse choisi et pouvant former une couleur désirée. De plus, le changement de couleur d'un revêtement à plusieurs composants, après traitement thermique, est réduit au minimum ou évité par détermination des espèces chimiques les plus mobiles présentes dans le revêtement, puis par placement d'une couche en gradient de concentration d'un oxyde desdites espèces chimiques mobiles présentes dans le revêtement. En outre, le changement de couleur causé par le chauffage (opérations de trempe, par exemple) est réduit au minimum par adjonction de calcium à un système de FeOx destiné à empêcher l'assombrissement du film après chauffage. Un appareil pour former un revêtement gradué sur un substrat inclut un poste de revêtement placé le long d'une bande transporteuse. Le poste de revêtement comprend un premier applicateur de revêtement monté pivotant sur un premier support et au moins une hotte d'aspiration. Ce premier applicateur de revêtement est placé de telle sorte qu'un axe traversant son extrémité de distribution sous-tend le substrat à un angle préétabli.
