有機ハ口ゲン化合物分解装置とその運転制御方法、 及び有機ハ口ゲン化合物の 分解方法 背景技術
1 . 発明の技術分野
本発明は、 プラズマを利用した有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置及びこの装置を用 いた有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法並びに上記分解装置の運転制御方法に関し、 特に、 マイクロ波を利用してプラズマを発生させるようにした有機ハロゲン化合 物分解装置とこの分解装置に用いて好適なマイクロ波式プラズマ 1 ^一チ及びブラ ズマ着火方法並びに上記分解装置の運転制御方法に関する。
2 . 従来の技術
分子内にフッ素、 塩素、 臭素等を含んだフロン、 トリクロロメタン、 ハロン等 の有機ハロゲン化合物は、 冷媒、 溶剤、 消火剤等の幅広い用途に大量に使用され ており、 産業分野における重要度は極めて高い。
しかし、 これら化合物は揮発性が高く、 未処理のまま大気、 土壌、 水等の環境 に放出されると、 発ガン性物質の生成、 オゾン層の破壊等、 環境に悪影響を及ぼ すことがあるため、 環境保全の見地から無害化処理を行う必要がある。
従来から報告されている有機ハロゲン化合物の処理方法は、 主として高温での 熱分解反応を利用している。 この処理方法はさらに焼却法とプラズマ法とに大別 される。
焼却法では、 有機ハロゲン化合物を樹脂等の通常の廃棄物と一緒に焼却する。 これに対し、 プラズマ法では、 プラズマ中で有機ハロゲン化合物を水蒸気と反応 させ、 二酸化炭素、 塩化水素、 フッ化水素に分解する。 さらに、 後者のプラズマ 法に係る有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法については、 マイクロ波を 利用してプラズマを発生させる方法が近年開発されている。
この分解方法に用いられる分解装置は、 アル力リ液を収容する排ガス処理タン クと、 開口した下端部がアルカリ液に浸潰されている反応管と、 反応管の上方に 垂直方向に延在された円筒導波管と、 円筒導波管の内部に配置され、 その下端が 反応管に連通された放電管と、 その一端部近傍が円筒導波管に連接された方形導 波管と、 方形導波管の他端に装着されたマイク口波発信器等を備えている。
この分解装置では、 放電管にフロンガスおよび水蒸気が供給される一方、 マイ ク口波発信器から発信されたマイク口波が方形導波管を介して円筒導波管に伝送 される。 そして、 円筒導波管の内部に形成されたマイクロ波電界で放電を起こし、 反応管内でフロンガスを熱プラズマにより分解する。 他方、 この分解反応により 生成された生成ガスは、 アルカリ液中を通って中和され、 炭酸ガス等を含む残り のガスは排気ダクトから排出される。
ところで、 上記プラズマ法による有機ハロゲン化合物の分解装置においては、 プラズマの形成に先立ち、 ガスに対し確実かつ安定して着火し、 容易にプラズマ を形成することが求められている。 また、 着火完了後の装置の運転に際しては、 良好なプラズマ形状を維持し、 安定した分解反応を継続することが重要である。 さらに、 この有機ハロゲン化合物の分解装置においては、 フロンガス等をブラ ズマ状態にする必要があるため、 フロンガスが確実かつ安定してブラズマ化する ように装置を制御する必要がある。 また、 フロンガスの分解に際して生成される 物質は有害であるため、 その制御にぁ广こっては、 安全性も要求される。
本発明は、 上記事情に鑑みてなされたもので、 プラズマ形成に先立ち、 確実か つ安定した着火が可能で、 しかも着火後は良好なプラズマ形状を維持して安定し た運転を可能にするマイクロ波式プラズマトーチ及び有機ハロゲン化合物分解装 置の提供を目的としている。
また、 本発明は、 プラズマ形成に先立ち、 確実かつ安定した着火を可能とする プラズマ着火方法及びこの着火方法を利用してなる有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方 法の提供をも目的としている。
さらに、 本発明は、 フロンガス等の有機ハロゲン化合物を確実かつ安定してプ ラズマ化することが可能な有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法の提供を も目的としている。 加えて、 本発明は、 有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の安全性を 向上することが可能な有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法の提供をも目 的としている。 発明の開示
上記課題を解決するために、 本発明においては以下の構成を採用した。
本発明のマイク口波式プラズマトーチは、 外側導体及び内側導体よりなる円筒 導波管と、 この円筒導波管内に同軸に設置された内管及び外管よりなる二重構造 の放電管とを備え、 前記内側導体を延長してなるプローブアンテナが前記放電管 を囲むように配置され、 前記内管の先端が前記プローブアンテナの先端より内側 に位置することを特徴としている。
このマイク口波式プラズマトーチによれば、 内管と外管との間を螺旋状に流れ て流出するガス流が、 内管の真下によどみを形成する。 このため、 ガス流のよど みに対して、 容易に着火できるようになり、 確実で安定した着火が可能になる。 また、 内管の先端がプローブアンテナの先端より内側に位置するので、 内管先端 部がプラズマのエネルギ集中部から離れ、 熱影響を受けにくくなる。
また、 内管先端とプローブアンテナ先端との間に距離 Lを設けて内管を内側に 位置させたので、 内管先端がプラズマのエネルギ集中部から離れて熱影響を受け にくくなる。 従って、 内管が熱変形するのを防止でき、 安定したガス流が供給さ れることによつて安定した分解反応を継続することが可能になる。
また、 本発明の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置は、 有機ハロゲン化合物の分解物 を中和処理するための処理液が収容された排ガス処理タンクと、 開口した下端部 が前記排ガス処理タンク内の処理液に浸潰された反応管と、 マイクロ波式プラズ マトーチとを備え、 このマイクロ波式プラズマトーチが、 前記反応管の上方に垂 直方向に延在する外側導体及び内側導体よりなる円筒導波管と、 この円筒導波管 内に同軸に設置された内管及び外管よりなる二重構造の放電管とを備え、 前記内 側導体を延長してなるプローブアンテナが前記放電管を囲むように配置され、 前 記内管の先端が前記プローブァンテナの先端より内側に位置することを特徴とし ている。
この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置によれば、 着火性に優れ、 しかも安定した分 解反応を継続できるプラズマトーチを採用しているので、 運転開始時に確実で安 定した着火が可能となる。 しかも、 運転中も良好なプラズマ形状が維持されるた め、 安定した分解反応を継続して実施可能となる。
また、 本発明のプラズマ着火方法は、 プラズマの発生に先立ち、 内管及び外管 よりなる二重構造の放電管に導入され前記内管と前記外管との間を旋回して流れ るアルゴンガスに着火してプラズマを形成するプラズマ着火方法において、 前記 内管と前記外管との間を流れるアルゴンガスの軸方向流速を 8 O cmZs ec以上に 設定したことを特徴としている。
このプラズマ着火方法によれば、 二重構造の放電管を採用し、 アルゴンガスの 軸方向流速を 8 O cmZsec以上の高速としたことで、 内管下部にガス流の適度な よどみが生じ、 このよどみに着火することによってプラズマ形成時において 9 0 %以上の高い着火率が得られ、 確実で安定した着火が可能となる。 さらに、 上述 したよどみは、 着火後においてもプラズマを安定した状態に保持するので、 良好 なプラズマの維持にも貢献する。
また、 本発明の有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法は、 アルカリ液を収容する排ガ ス処理タンクと、 開口した下端部が前記アルカリ液に浸漬された反応管と、 この 反応管の上方に垂直方向に延在する円筒導波管と、 この円筒導波管の内部に配置 され、 その下端にて前記反応管に連通する内管及び外管よりなる二重構造の放電 管と、 水平方向に延在しその一端部近傍にて前記円筒導波管に連接される方形導 波管と、 この方形導波管の他端に装着されるマイク口波発振器とを具備する有機 ハロゲン化合物分解装置を用い、 前記反応管内で有機ハロゲン化合物を水蒸気と 反応させてプラズマにより分解する有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法において、 前 記プラズマの発生に先立ち、 前記放電管に導入され前記内管と前記外管との間を 旋回して流れるアルゴンガスの軸方向流速を 8 O cmZ s ec以上に設定し、 このァ ルゴンガスに着火して前記プラズマを形成することを特徴としている。
この有機ハ口ゲン化合物の分解方法によれば、 確実で安定した着火方法を採用 しているので、 プラズマ形成時において 9 0パーセント以上の高い着火率が得ら れ、 確実で安定した着火が可能となる。 また、 着火後のプラズマ維持も容易にな るので、 安定した分解反応を容易に継続することができる。
さらに、 この有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法においては、 前記軸方向流速を 2 3 0 cm/s ec以上に設定することが望ましい。
この有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法によれば、 前記軸方向流速を一層高速に設 定したことにより、 着火率が 1 0 0 %になり、 一層確実で安定した着火が可能と なる。
また、 本発明の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法は、 有機ハロゲン 化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合物を分解する有機ハロ ゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 希ガス、 有機ハロゲン化合物の順 に装置系にガスの供給を開始するとともに、 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の供給を開 始する前に、 前記希ガスをプラズマ化し、 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の供給開始後 に前記希ガスの供給を停止することを特徴としている。
この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 まず、 プラズマ 状態になりやすい A r、 N e、 H e等の希ガスをプラズマ状態とした後、 有機ハ ロゲン化合物を供給して有機ハロゲン化合物をプラズマ化する。 そして、 有機ハ ロゲン化合物のプラズマ状態が安定した後、 希ガスの供給を停止する。 すなわち、 この有機ハロゲン化合物の制御方法によれば、 希ガスと有機ハロゲン化合物の供 給のオーバーラップ時間を設けることができ、 その結果、 有機ハロゲン化合物の プラズマを確実にかつ安定に発生させるとともに、 希ガスの消費を抑えることが できる。 希ガスと有機ハロゲン化合物の供給のオーバーラップ時間は、 ごくわず かでよい。 したがって、 長時間にわたる有機ハロゲン化合物の分解時においては、 希ガスの供給は不要となる。
さらに、 この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 前記プ ラズマ化を、 マイクロ波の照射により行うことが望ましい。
マイクロ波の照射により発生するプラズマでは、 例えば、 高周波誘導プラズマ に比べてプラズマ炎の安定性が高い。 したがって、 プラズマ化しやすい希ガスの 供給が停止しても、 有機ハロゲン化合物のプラズマ化への影響が殆どない。 よつ て、 有機ハロゲン化合物のプラズマ化が安定した後は、 希ガスの供給を停止して も、 有機ハロゲン化合物を確実にかつ安定してプラズマ状態にすることができる。 さらに、 この有機八ロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 水の供 給を、 希ガスを供給した後であって、 さらに有機ハロゲン化合物を供給前する前 に開始することが望ましい。
この方法では、 まず、 プラズマ状態になりやすい希ガスの供給を開始し、 希ガ スをプラズマ化する。 その後、 分解対象である有機ハロゲン化合物を装置系に供 給し、 プラズマ状態となった有機ハロゲン化合物と水蒸気を反応させることで、 分解物としての酸性ガスを発生させるが、 この際、 有機ハロゲン化合物の供給に 先立って水の供給を開始する。 その理由は、 有機ハロゲン化合物のみをプラズマ 化すると、 解離された原子の再結合によって予想外の有害なハロゲン化合物が発 生し、 無害化処理することができなくなる為である。 換言すれば、 この方法によ れば、 有機ハロゲン化合物分解前に水が存在するので、 有機ハロゲン化合物と水 が反応し、 安全に有機ハロゲン化合物を分解することができる。 また、 水の供給 を、 希ガスの供給後に行うため、 装置系内を乾燥状態に保つことができ、 着火を 安定化させることができる。
さらに、 この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 前記希 ガスの供給を開始する前に、 装置系内の水分除去処理を行うことが望ましい。 有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転に際しては、 装置系内に水分が残留してい るとプラズマの着火が安定しない。 したがって、 プラズマ着火前にあらかじめ装 置系内の水分を除去しておくことにより、 プラズマの着火を確実かつ安定して行 うことができる。
この場合、 プラズマの着火を安定化するために行う装置系内の水分除去を、 ガ スを供給することにより行うことが望ましい。 特に、 供給するガスを、 例えば 1 0 0〜 1 8 0 に加熱し、 あるいは、 乾燥させておくことにより、 系内の残留水 分が確実に除去される。
さらに、 この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 前記有 機ハロゲン化合物の供給停止後に、 掃気ガスを装置系内に供給することが望まし い。
有機ハロゲン化合物の供給停止後、 すなわち、 有機ハロゲン化合物の分解終了 後に、 掃気ガスを装置系内に供給することにより、 系内に残留している分解物の 酸性ガスがパージされ、 安全性が向上する。
また、 本発明の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法は、 有機ハロゲン 化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合物を分解する有機ハロ ゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 装置系内の水分除去処理を行つた 後に有機ハロゲン化合物の分解処理を行うことを特徴としている。
この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法によれば、 有機ハロゲン化合 物の分解処理前に、 プラズマの着火を不安定化させる要因である装置系内の水分 をあらかじめ除去することにより、 プラズマの着火を確実かつ安定して行うこと ができる。
また、 本発明の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法は、 有機ハロゲン 化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合物を分解する有機ハロ ゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 分解処理終了後に、 掃気ガスを装 置系内に供給することを特徴としている。
この有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法によれば、 有機ハロゲン化合 物の分解終了後に、 掃気ガスを装置系内に供給することにより、 系内に残留して I ^る酸性ガスがパージされ、 安全性が向上する。
さらに、 上記の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法においては、 有機 ハロゲン化合物の分解中に、 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の分解物を中和する処理液 を攪拌し、 分解終了後に、 前記攪拌を停止することが望ましい。
有機ハロゲン化合物分解中に処理液を攪拌することにより、 分解物の処理が促 進される。 また、 分解終了後に攪拌を停止することにより、 処理液内の反応物を 沈澱させることができるとともに、 省電力にも寄与する。 なお、 攪拌の開始、 停 止は、 分解の開始、 停止と一致している必要はない。 図面の簡単な説明

実施例
次に、 本発明の実施例について、 図 1から図 7を参照しながら説明する。 本発明に係る有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の例を、 図 1ないし図 4に示す。 図 1において、 水平方向に延びる方形導波管 1は、 その始端部 (右端部) に周波数 2 . 4 5 G Hzのマイクロ波を発信するマイクロ波発信器 2を備えており、 始端 側から終端 (左) 側に向けてマイクロ波を伝送する。
方形導波管 1には、 図 1に示すように、 その終端部側で反射して始端部側に戻 つてきたマイク口波を吸収することにより反射波の発信側への影響を防止するァ イソレー夕 3と、 複数の波動調整部材 4を各々出入りさせることにより電波の波 動的な不整合量を調整して放電管 5に電波を収束させるチューナー 6が設けられ ている。
この動作を詳細に説明する。
マイクロ波発信機 2は断面矩形の導波管の一端に置かれマグネトロンを駆動し て所定周波数の電磁波を放射する。 この電磁波の伝播現象は電磁波に関るマクス ゥエルの波動方程式を解くことによって特性が把握されるわけであるが、 結果的 には伝播方向に電界成分を持たない電磁波 T E波として伝播する。
この 1次成分 T E ,。の例を方向が交番する矢印で図 2 ( a ) の方形導波管の伝 播方向に示す。 また、 方形導波管 1の他端部に 2重の円筒状導体からなる 2重円 筒導波管の環状空洞には、 導波管 1を伝播する電磁波、 管端で反射する電磁波の 導体 9による結合作用により、 環状空洞部には、 進行方向に電界成分を持つ T M 波が生じる。
この 1次成分である TM ,。波を同じく図 2 ( a ) の環状空洞部に矢印で示す。 電磁波の波動の伝播に関る 2次以上の高調波に起因する微妙な調整はチューナ 4で調整される。
アイソレー夕 3は発信機 2に根本的なダメージを及ぼすのを防止している。 円筒導波管 7は、 図 2 ( a ) に示すように、 外側導体 8と、 それよりも小径の 内側導体 9とから構成され、 方形導波管 1の終端部近傍において、 方形導波管 1 に連通した状態で垂直方向に延びるように接続されている。
内側導体 9は、 方形導波管 1の上部に固定された状態で石英製の放電管 5を囲 み、 かつ外側導体 8の端板 8 Aに向けて延在されている。 この延在部分をプロ一 ブアンテナ 9 aとする。
放電管 5には、 内管 1 1と外管 1 2とから構成された二重構造のものが採用さ れ、 内管 1 1と外管 1 2との間がガス流路となっている。 このような二重管式の 放電管 5は、 円筒導波管 7の中心軸に対して同軸となるよう内側に配置されてい る。 以後、 本発明では、 円筒導波管 7と放電管 5とを組み合わせたものをマイク 口波式プラズマトーチ (又は単にプラズマトーチ) と称する。 また、 放電管 5の 内管 1 1には、 着火装置 1 3により発熱するテスラコイル 1 4が挿入されている。 さらに、 内管 1 1の先端 (下端) は、 内側導体 9を下方へ延長し放電管 5を囲 むように配置したプローブアンテナ 9 aの先端よりも所定の距離 Lだけ内方 (上 方) に後退した位置に配置されている (図 2 ( b ) 参照) 。
この距離 Lは、 着火性を優先した場合、 プローブアンテナ 9 aの先端と内管 1 1の先端とがー致するように、 すなわち L = 0に設定するのがべストである。 し かし、 L = 0に設定すると、 着火と同時に内管 1 1の先端部がプラズマのェネル ギ集中部にさらされるため、 運転の継続に伴い、 その熱影響による溶融変形が生 じる。 内管 1 1の先端部に溶融変形が生じると、 内管 1 1と外管 1 2との間から 流出するガスの流れが不安定となり、 プラズマ形状にも著しい変形が生じる。 そ の結果、 分解反応が不安定になったり、 あるいは変形したプラズマの熱影響を受 けて外管 1 2が破損する場合がある。
しかし、 本発明では、 上述したように内管 1 1の先端部を上げてプローブアン テナ 9 aの先端部との間に距離 Lを設けてあるので、 内管 1 1の先端部はプラズ マのエネルギ集中部から離れて熱影響を受けなくなる。 また、 距離 Lを大きくす ればするほど熱影響の面では有利にはなるが、 その分だけガスの旋回流を形成す る距離が短くなるので、 限られたスペース内では、 熱影響と旋回流形成との適度 なバランスを考慮する必要がある。
一方、 内管 1 1の先端をプローブアンテナ 9 aの先端より下方へ延ばして突出 させた場合には、 プラズマの熱影響を大きく受けることになるので好ましくない。 外管 1 2の先端部は、 外側導体 8の端板 8 Aを貫通して銅製の反応管 1 5に連 通し、 また、 外管 1 2の基端側 (上端側) は、 内側導体 9との間に隙間を有する よう取り付けられている。
符号 1 7は、 外側導体 8の端板 8 Aと反応管 1 5との間に露出する外管 1 2に 向けられた光センサ 1 7である。 光センサ 1 7は、 光度を検出することにより、 プラズマの生成状態を監視する。
また、 前記隙間には、 ガス供給管 1 6が、 外管 1 2と内管 1 1とにより形成さ れる環状通路の入口側で、 接線方向に沿って挿入されている。 アルゴンガス (希 ガス) 、 フロンガス (有機ハロゲン化合物) 、 エア一、 および水蒸気が、 ガス供 給管 1 6を介して放電管 5の環状通路に供給される。 これらアルゴンガス、 フロ ンガス、 およびエアーは、 図 1に示す電磁弁 1 9 a、 1 9 b、 1 9 cの開閉動作 により、 それぞれの供給源から選択的にヒー夕 1 8へと送られる。
ァルゴンガスは、 ブラズマの発生に先立つて着火を容易にするために供給され るもので、 アルゴンボンべ 2 1に貯蔵されている。 なお、 アルゴンガスの他、 へ リウム、 ネオン等の希ガスを用いることができるのは言うまでもない。 また、 ァ ルゴンボンべ 2 1と電磁弁 1 9 aとの間には、 圧力調整機 2 2と圧力スィッチ 2 3が設けられている。
エアーは、 系内に残存する水分を除去して着火の安定性を高めるために、 また、 系内に残存するガスを排出するために、 エア一コンプレッサ 2 4から供給される もので、 空気、 窒素ガス、 アルゴンガス等が用いられる。
水蒸気は、 フロンガスの分解に必要なもので、 プランジャポンプ 2 5によって 貯水タンク 2 6内の水をヒー夕 1 8に送り込むことで生成される。 貯水タンク 2 6には、 水位の変動を検知するレベルスィッチ 2 7が設けられている。
フロンガスは、 回収フロンボンべ 2 8に液体として貯蔵され、 回収フロンボン ベ 2 8と電磁弁 1 9 bとの間には、 絞り装置 3 1、 ミストセパレ一夕 3 2、 およ び圧力スィッチ 3 3が設けられている。
絞り装置 3 1は、 流れの定量化を図るために設けられたもので、 例えばキヤピ ラリ管とオリフィスとの組み合わせにより構成されている。
ミストセパレ一夕 3 2は、 フロンガス中に含まれる油分 (潤滑油) および水分 を除去するためのもので、 衝突式や遠心分離式のものが採用される。
ヒー夕 1 8は、 フロンガスに反応させる水蒸気を生成するだけでなく、 フロン ガス等をあらかじめ加熱しておくことにより、 装置内で水蒸気がフロンガス等に 冷却されて再凝縮する等の不具合を回避することを意図して設けられており、 電 気式、 スチーム式等の加熱方式が採用される。
ヒータ 1 8内には、 並列する二つの流路 3 4 a、 3 4 bが形成されている。 一 方の流路 3 4 aにはフロンガス、 アルゴンガス、 およびエアーが導入され、 他方 の流路 3 4 bには貯水タンク 2 6から水が導入されて水蒸気が生成される。
このうち、 水蒸気を生成する側の流路 3 4 bには、 流路 3 4 b内を移動する水 蒸気に抵抗を与える抵抗体 3 5が充填され、 流路内における水蒸気の円滑な流通 を阻止している。 抵抗体 3 5としては、 無機または有機の粒状、 繊維状、 多孔質 のもの若しくはこれらを成形したものが採用されるが、 高温下における劣化を防 止する観点からは、 S i〇2、 A l 23、 T i〇2、 MgO , Z r〇2等に代表される酸 化物や、 炭化物、 窒化物等の無機材であることが好ましい。
なお、 ヒー夕 1 8の出口近傍には、 熱電対 3 6が設けられている。
ヒー夕 1 8を通過したフロンガス等と水蒸気は、 ミキサー 3 7内で混合された 後、 ガス供給管 1 6を通って放電管 5へと供給される。
ミキサー 3 7の内部には、 図 4に示すように、 オリフィス 3 8が設けられ、 そ の開口 3 8 aは直径 0 . 1匪〜 5誦に設定されている。 また、 開口 3 8 aが臨む ミキサー 3 7の出口側端面 3 7 Aは、 流路断面が漸次縮小するような傾斜面をな している。
排ガス処理タンク 4 1は、 フロンガスを分解した際に生成される酸性ガス (フ ッ化水素および塩化水素) を中和して無害化するために設けられたものであり、 水に水酸化カルシウムを加えたアルカリ性懸濁液が収容されている。 例えば、 分解するフロンガスが廃冷蔵庫から回収した冷媒用のフロン R l 2の 場合には、 式 1に示す分解反応により生成された生成ガスは、 式 2に示す中和反 応により無害化される。

式 2の中和反応により生成された中和生成物 (塩化カルシウムおよびフッ化力 ルシゥム) は溶解度が小さいため、 一部はアルカリ液に溶解するが、 ほとんどは スラリーとして存在する。
また、 式 1の分解反応により生成された二酸化炭素と、 式 2の中和反応により 排出基準値以下の微少量に低減された酸性ガスは、 排ガス処理タンク 41の上方 に接続された排気ダクト 42からブロア 43により系外に排出される。
排ガス処理タンク 41の内部には、 交換継手 44を介して反応管 15に接続さ れる吹込管 45が、 その下端部をアルカリ液に浸漬した状態で垂直方向に延びる ように配置されている。 また、 吹込管 45の先端部 45 aは、 垂直方向に対して 所定の角度傾斜するように形成されている。
反応管 1 5の軸線方向中間部には、 その周面を取り囲むようにして冷水配管を (図示略) 備えた冷却器 46が付設されている。 冷却器 46は、 式 1の分解反応 による生成ガスを冷却するものであるが、 反応管 1 5内の残留水蒸気の再凝縮を 防止すべく、 その露点以下には冷却しないように制御される。 本実施例の場合、 生成ガスは 400で程度に冷却される。
また、 反応管 1 5を冷却することで温められた冷却器 46の冷却水 (温水) は、 回収フロンボンべ 28の加熱源として用いられる。 すなわち、 回収フロンボンべ 28の周りには、 温水配管 (図示略) を備えた加熱器 47が付設されていて、 こ の温水配管に反応管 1 5の冷却に使用された冷却水を流通させることにより、 回 収フロンボンべ 28が加熱される。
交換継手 44は、 図 2に示すように、 反応管 1 5と吹込管 45との間に着脱可 能に接続され、 その内部に向けて水噴射ノズル 5 1が連通している。 水噴射ノズ ル 5 1からは冷却水が吐出され、 樹脂製、 例えばテフロン製の吹込管 4 5がその 耐熱温度範囲で急冷される。 ちなみに、 吹込管 4 5がテフロン管の場合には、 1 0 0で以下に冷却される。
ここで、 吹込管 4 5を樹脂製にする理由は、 吹込管 4 5は酸性ガスが冷却水に 溶解してできた酸性液と、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内のアルカリ液との双方に対し て良好な耐食性を備える必要があり、 金属ではその実現が困難だからである。 こ れに対し、 反応管 1 5の場合には、 その内部が常に乾燥状態とされているから、 式 1の分解反応で生成された酸性ガスが水に解けてできる酸性液による腐食のお それは低い。 その一方で、 反応管 1 5は、 高温のプラズマ及び分解ガスに対する 耐熱性が要求されるため、 反応管 1 5を銅製とすることで長寿命化を図っている。 吹込管 4 5の先端 (下端) からは、 式 1の分解反応による生成ガスがアルカリ 液中に気泡となって放出される。 アルカリ液中での中和反応は、 気泡とアルカリ 液との接触面積が大きく、 気泡が液面に到達するまでの時間が長いほど促進され るため、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内には、 気泡を細かく分断させて式 2の中和反応 を促進させる気泡分断手段 5 2が設けられている。
気泡分断手段 5 2は、 モー夕 5 2 aにより回転駆動される軸部 5 2 bと、 この 軸部 5 2 bの先端に固定される円盤状のブレード保持部 5 2 cと、 このブレード 保持部 5 2 cの外縁部に固定される 6つのブレード 5 2 dとを具備している。 こ れら軸部 5 2 a、 ブレード保持部 5 2 c、 およびブレード 5 2 dは、 いずれもス テンレス鋼で製作され、 ブレード 5 2 dは、 ブレード保持部 5 2 cに対して交差 し、 かつその周方向に等しい間隔をおいて銀ロウ付けにより固定されている。 ブ レード 5 2 dとブレード保持部 5 2 cとを銀ロウ付けにより固定したのは、 一般 の溶接ではアルカリ液に対する腐食が激しいからである。
気泡分断手段 5 2は、 ブレード保持部 5 2 cの中心が反応管 1 5の先端の上方 に位置するように配置され、 反応管 1 5の先端から浮上する気泡は、 3 0 0 rpm で回転するブレード 5 2 dに当たって、 直径約 3腿〜 5 mmの気泡に細かく分断さ れる。
また、 気泡分断手段 5 2は、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1に投入した水酸化カルシゥ ムの粉末を攪拌することにより、 水に不溶性の水酸化カルシウムと水の懸濁液を 作る役目も果たしている。
気泡分断手段 5 2は、 プラズマ分解装置の操業開始から操業終了まで、 作動状 態を保つ。 一方、 分解装置操業期間中以外は停止状態を保つ。
排ガス処理タンク 4 1には、 式 2の中和反応が発熱反応であることから、 排ガ ス処理タンク 4 1の温度を吹込管 4 5の耐熱温度以下に冷却する冷却機 5 3が設 けられている。 冷却機 5 3は、 ファン 5 3 aにより冷却される放熱部 5 3 bに接 続された配管の一部を、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内を挿通させることにより構成さ れている。 そして、 この配管に水等の冷却媒体を流通させることにより、 排ガス 処理タンク 4 1内の熱を奪い、 これを放熱部 5 3 bにおいて放熱する。 ちなみに、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内の温度は熱電対 5 4により検出される。
さらに、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1には、 P Hセンサ 5 5が設けられている。 アル カリ液の P H値は、 P Hセンサ 5 5を介して常に制御装置 6 1により監視されて おり、 例えば P H値が 9 (運転開始時は 1 1〜 1 2 ) になると、 制御装置 6 1力、 らの指令によつて警報手段が作動するとともに、 分解運転が停止するようになつ ている。 警報手段としては、 周囲に注意を喚起できるものであれば何でもよく、 例えばランプを点滅させたり、 警笛をならす等の手段が採用される。
排ガス処理タンク 4 1内のスラリーは、 運転時間の経過に伴って次第に増加す るため、 運転停止後にアルカリ液とともに固液分離器 6 2に導入され、 固液分離 された後、 廃棄物として処分されるか、 他の用途に利用される。 また、 分離され たアルカリ液は、 再び排ガス処理タンク 4 1内に戻され、 再利用される。
固液分離器 6 2と排ガス処理タンク 4 1とは排出管 7 1により連通され、 排出 管 7 1の一端は排ガス処理タンク 4 1下部に位置し、 その開口部は下方に向けら れている。 さらにその先端には端板が設けられており、 スラリー排出の際に上方 のアルカリ液層を巻き込まないようにされている。 また、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1 内における液面の変動は、 レベルスィッチ 5 6により検知される。
以上の構成からなる有機ハロゲン化合物の分解装置において、 電磁弁の開閉動 作およびテスラコイル 1 4の点火動作は、 制御装置 6 1によって、 図 5に示すよ うに制御される。 図 5から明らかなように、 この分解装置では、 8時間を 1サイクルとしたバッ チ処理によりフロンガスの分解が行われる。 すなわち、 フロンガスや水蒸気を供 給する前に、 まず、 残留水分の除去を目的としてエア一を所定の時間 (3分間) 供給し、 その供給停止後、 着火の安定性向上を目的としてアルゴンガスの供給を 開始する。 図 6に示すように、 アルゴンガスはガス供給管 1 6から放電管 5の内 管 1 1と外管 1 2との間に供給され、 内管 1 1の周囲を旋回しながら下向きに流 れる。 この場合、 図中に白抜き矢印で示したように、 内管 1 1及び外管 1 2の軸 と平行に下向きに流れるアルゴンガスの平均流速、 すなわち軸方向流速 Vが、 8 O cmZsec以上となるように設定する。
より好適には、 この軸方向流速 Vが 2 3 O cmZsec以上となるように設定する とよい。 なお、 流速を必要以上に上げるとアルゴンガスの流量が増加するため、 余分なガス消費となって経済性の面では不利になる。
そして、 アルゴンガス供給中に、 マイクロ波を発振してテスラコイル 1 4によ る着火を行うとともに水蒸気およびフロンガスを供給し、 その後、 アルゴンガス の供給を停止する。 なお、 エア一を乾燥させることにより水分除去を行うことと してもよい。
分解運転の停止後は、 安全性を確保することを目的として掃気ガスとしてのェ ァーを所定時間 (5分) 供給し、 残留酸性ガスをパージする。
パージされた酸性ガスは排ガス処理タンク 4 1内で中和される。 このとき、 気 泡分断手段 5 2を作動させておくことにより、 処理液が攪拌されて中和が促進さ れる。
その後、 パージを停止して分解装置の操業を終了する。 同時にモ一夕 5 2 aを 停止し、 気泡分断手段 5 2の作動を停止させる。 気泡分断手段 5 2の停止により 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内の攪拌も停止するので、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内では、 スラリーが沈降する。
以上の工程では、 アルゴンガスの供給とフロンガスの供給とがオーバーラップ しているときがあるが、 フロンガスの供給を始めてからアルゴンガスの供給を止 めるまでの間は、 ごくわずかでよい。 その理由は、 着火の状態が安定しさえすれ ば、 アルゴンガスを供給し続ける必要はなくなり、 また、 低コスト化を図る観点 からもアルゴン消費量を低く抑える必要があるからである。 特に、 他のプラズマ、 例えば高周波誘導プラズマに比べ、 マイクロ波によるプラズマは安定性が高いた め、 アルゴンガスの供給を停止してもフロンガスのプラズマ化への影響は殆どな い。
また、 制御装置 6 1は、 圧力スィッチ 2 3、 3 3、 熱電対 3 6、 5 4、 レベル スィッチ 2 7、 5 6、 光センサ 1 7等の各種センサから信号を受信することによ り、 アルゴンガスおよびフロンガスのヒー夕 1 8への供給圧、 貯水タンク 2 6内 の液位、 プラズマの生成状態、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内の温度および液位を常に 監視しており、 これらが規定値を外れた場合には、 運転が正常または効率的に行 われていないおそれがあるため、 運転を停止する。
そして、 運転停止後は、 安全性を確保すべく上記の通りエア一を供給し、 装置 内の残留ガスを掃気する。
以下、 上記構成を有する分解装置の作用について説明する。
この分解装置では、 まず、 電磁弁 1 9 a、 1 9 bを閉にするとともに電磁弁 1 9 cを開にして、 エアコンプレッサー 2 4からのエア一をガス供給管 1 6を介し て放電管 5に 3分間供給する。 このエア一は、 ヒー夕 1 8を通過することにより、 1 0 0〜 1 8 0でに加熱されている。 このため、 装置内の残留水分は確実に除去 され、 着火の安定性が向上する。
次に、 電磁弁 1 9 cを閉にするとともに電磁弁 1 9 aを開にして、 アルゴンガ スを放電管 5に供給する。 このとき、 アルゴンガスは、 外管 1 2の接線方向から 供給されて二重構造の放電管 5内を螺旋状に流下するため、 内管 1 1の先端近傍 によどみが形成されて着火が容易になり、 しかも着火後におけるプラズマの保持 も容易になる。 このようなよどみは、 軸方向流速 Vが 8 O cmZsec以上の時着火 に最適なものとなる。
図 7の表は、 アルゴンガスの軸方向流速 Vと着火率との関係を示す実験結果で ある。 この実験では、 内管 1 1と外管 1 2との間を旋回しながら流れるアルゴン ガスの軸方向流速 Vを変化させて、 それぞれの着火率を調べている。 また、 この 表には、 ケース 1からケース 3まで、 内管 1 1の外径 d及び外管 1 2の内径 Dが それぞれ異なる組み合わせについて、 同様の実験結果が示されている。 この実験結果によれば、 内管外径 dが 6匪で外管内径 Dが 1 0 mmのケース 1、 内管外径 dが 6 mmで外管内径 Dが 1 3腿のケース 2、 内管外径 dが 8 mmで外管内 径 Dが 1 3 mmのケース 3のいずれの場合においても、 軸方向流速 Vが 8 O craZse c未満の低速では着火率が 9 0パーセントに満たない低い値となり、 実用上は着 火不安定と判断される。 そして、 アルゴンガスの軸方向流速 Vが低いと、 石英管 よりなる放電管 5がプラズマの熱影響を受けやすくなるので、 結果的に、 溶融変 形による破損が多くなるという問題があることも確認されている。
また、 軸方向流速 Vが 8 O cm/sec以上になると、 いずれのケースでも着火率 が 9 0パーセント以上となり、 確実かつ安定した着火が可能であることが確認さ れている。 このような流速で着火率が向上するのは、 内管 1 1の下方にアルゴン ガスのよどみが形成され、 このよどみに対して発熱したテスラコイル 1 4が着火 するためと考えられる。 さらに、 このような着火率の向上は、 適切なよどみの存 在が形成されたプラズマを保持しやすくすることにも原因があると考えられる。 そして、 軸方向流速 Vが 2 3 O cmZsec以上の高速になれば、 いずれのケース でも着火率が 1 0 0パ一セントになることが確認されており、 着火に対する確実 性や安定性は極めて高くなる。 このように着火率が向上するのは、 軸方向流速 V がより高速となったことで、 一層適切なよどみが形成されるためと考えられる。 なお、 この実験では軸方向流速 Vが 8 5 O cmZsecの場合を上限にしているが、 これは、 良好な着火率が得られるのであればアルゴンガスの消費量を低く抑える のが経済的であり、 むやみに流速を上げて流量 (消費量) を増す必要がないから である。
また、 このときのガス供給量は、 4〜4 0 1/mi n、 望ましくは 1 2 1/mi n以上に 設定する。 この設定範囲では、 よどみが効果的に形成されてプラズマが一層保持 され易くなるとともに、 プラズマの熱的影響を放電管 5が受け難くなり、 その溶 融変形や破損が効果的に防止される。 しかも、 内管 1 1先端とプローブアンテナ 9 a先端との間に適度な距離 Lを設けたので、 プラズマの熱的影響を放電管 5が 受け難くなり、 その溶融変形や破損が効果的に防止されることになる。
そして、 アルゴンガスの供給開始から一定の間隔をおいて、 マイクロ波発信器 2からマイクロ波を発信する。 マイクロ波は、 方形導波管 1によりその後端部側 に伝送され、 さらに円筒導波管 7へと伝送される。
このとき、 円筒導波管 7内の電界としては、 電界強度の大きな TM 0 1モードが 形成され、 しかも、 内側導体 9により、 方形導波管 1内の電界モードと、 円筒導 波管 7内の電界モードとがカツプリングされているため、 円筒導波管 7内の電界 は安定している。 当然のことながら磁界は電解に直交叉する方向に生じている。 この振動する電磁界により放電管 5に導入されたガスはプラズマ状態に加熱され る。
次に、 点火装置 1 3に連結されたテスラコイル 1 4に高電圧を印加し、 内側導 体 9との間に火花放電を発生させ着火させる。 このとき、 放電管 5の内部では、 エア一により水分が除去され、 かつ着火し易いアルゴンガスがあらかじめ供給さ れているため、 着火は容易に行われる。
次いで、 プランジャポンプ 2 5により貯水タンク 2 6から水を吸引し、 これを ヒータ 1 8に通して生成した水蒸気を放電管 5に供給する。
水蒸気の供給開始の後、 後述のようにフロンガスの供給を開始するが、 水蒸気 を先に供給する理由は以下の通りである。 本実施例に係る有機ハロゲン化合物分 解装置の運転制御方法においては、 フロンガスと水蒸気とを一定のモル比で供給 して分解、 反応させ、 酸性ガスを発生させる。 これは、 フロンガスのみをプラズ マ化すると、 解離された原子の再結合によって予想外の有害なハロゲン化合物が 発生し、 無害化処理することができなくなる為である。
したがって、 上記のように水蒸気を放電管 5に供給してからフロンガスを供給 して、 フロン分解時には水蒸気が存在する状態としておくことにより、 安全にフ ロンを分解することができる。
また、 この水蒸気の円滑な流通が、 ヒー夕 1 8内に充填された抵抗体 3 5によ つて阻止されるため、 ヒータ 1 8内には常に一定量の水蒸気が滞留した状態にな る。 したがって、 脈動や突沸による飛散が防止されて水蒸気の流出量が安定し、 ミキサー 3 7上流側の流量変動が効果的に抑制可能となる。
その結果、 プラズマの消失を招くことなくプラズマが安定化し、 処理能力の向 上が可能となる。
次いで、 電磁弁 1 9 bを開にして、 フロンガスを放電管 5に供給する。 このと き、 回収フロンボンべ 2 8から流出したフロンガスは、 ミストセパレ一夕 3 2を 通過することで油分および水分が除去されている。 このため、 フロンガス中の潤 滑油による配管等の汚れおよび副生成物の生成が抑制されて、 フロンガス等の効 率的かつ安定的な供給が可能になり、 しかも余分な水分供給を防止し得てプラズ マの消失を招くこともない。
よって、 プラズマを安定化させて、 処理能力の向上を図ることができる。
また、 ヒータ 1 8を通過してミキサー 3 7内に流入した水蒸気、 アルゴンガス、 およびフロンガスは、 オリフィス 3 8の開口 3 8 aを通過する際の圧力損失によ つて混合が促進されるだけでなく、 出口側端面 3 7 Aに衝突することによつても 混合が促進されるため、 より均一に混合された状態でミキサー 3 7から流出して、 放電管 5に供給される。
このため、 式 1の分解反応が十分に行われることになり、 塩素ガスや一酸化炭 素等の副生成物の生成を抑制することができる。
このようにして放電管 5に供給されたフロンガスにマイクロ波が照射されると、 放電管 5内には、 電子エネルギーが高く、 しかも温度が 2 , 0 0 0 K〜 6 , 0 0 0 Κに高められた熱プラズマが発生する。 このとき、 放電管 5には、 フロンガス と水蒸気のみならず、 アルゴンガスも同時に供給されているため、 プラズマの消 失を招くこともない。
また、 内管 1 1の先端が、 プローブアンテナ 9 aの先端よりも所定の距離しだ け内方に配置されているため、 生成されたプラズマの熱的影響を回避し得て、 内 管 1 1の溶融破損が防止される。
これにより、 プラズマ形状の著しい変形をなくして、 安定した分解運転が可能 になる。
また、 熱プラズマの発生により、 フロンガスは塩素原子、 フッ素原子、 および 水素原子に解離し易い状態になるため、 式 1に示すように、 水蒸気と反応して容 易に分解される。
そして、 プラズマが安定したら、 電磁弁 1 9 aを閉にしてアルゴンガスの供給 を止める。 したがって、 長時間にわたるフロンガスの分解時においては、 ァルゴ ンの供給は不要であり、 アルゴン消費量が低く抑えられる。 分解反応による生成ガスは、 交換継手 4 4および吹込管 4 5を通って排ガス処 理タンク 4 1内のアルカリ液中に放出される。 ただし、 これらの生成ガスは極め て高温であるため、 吹込管 4 5に流入するまでの間に、 まず、 反応管 1 5の下部 に付設された冷却器 4 6によって約 4 0 O t:に冷却される。 この温度では、 反応 管 1 5の内部で残留水蒸気が再凝縮することはないため、 反応管 1 5は乾燥状態 に保持され、 プラズマの消失を招くことはない。
他方、 反応管 1 5を冷却することで約 5 0 に温められた冷却器 4 6の冷却水 は、 回収フロンボンべ 2 8に付設された加熱器 4 7に導かれ、 回収フロンボンべ 2 8内の液体フロンが気化する際に生じる回収フロンボンべ 2 8およびその下流 側配管での霜の生成を防止するとともに、 温度低下による圧力変動も抑制する。 また、 これにより熱を奪われた冷却水は、 冷却器 4 6の冷却水に再度用いること ができ、 水の消費量を低く抑えることができる。
冷却器 4 6により冷却された生成ガスは、 交換継手 4 4を通過する間に、 さら に水噴射ノズル 5 1から吐出される冷却水によって約 1 0 0で以下となるように 急冷される。 これにより、 榭脂製の吹込管 4 5をその耐熱温度範囲内で使用する ことができ、 高温による熱的損傷から保護することができる。 このとき、 式 1の 分解反応による生成ガスが冷却水に溶解することによつて酸性液が生成されるた め、 交換継手 4 4は次第に腐食することになるが、 このような場合には腐食の程 度に応じて交換継手 4 4を交換すればよい。 したがって、 反応管 1 5の下流側に おいては、 腐食による交換部分が交換継手 4 4のみで済むため、 低コスト化およ び交換作業の容易化が図られる。
また、 吹込管 4 5を通ってアルカリ液中に放出された生成ガスは、 式 2の中和 反応によって無害化され、 排気ダクト 4 2から排出される。 この中和反応は発熱 反応であるため、 吹込管 4 5の熱的損傷を防止すべく、 アルカリ液の温度は冷却 機 5 3によって 7 0で以下に保持される。 また、 吹込管 4 5の先端から気泡とし て放出された生成ガスは、 気泡分断手段 5 2のブレード 5 2 dに当たって細かく 分断させられるため、 アル力リ液との接触面積が増大するとともに液面までに達 する時間も長くなり、 中和反応が促進される。 したがって、 中和処理の不足によ つて基準値を超える量の酸性ガスが系外に排出されることはない。 中和反応により生成された中和生成物は、 アル力リ液中にスラリーとして存在 しているが、 このスラリーは分解運転停止後にアルカリ液とともに固液分離器 6 2に受け入れられ、 連続的に固液分離される。 この分離液は、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内に戻されて再利用されるため、 本分解装置では、 上記冷却水の再利用と相 まって水消費量の大幅な低減が図られる。
また、 分解運転停止後は、 エアコンプレッサ 2 4を駆動することにより、 装置 内に残留する酸性ガスを掃気するようにしているため、 安全性も高められる。 なお、 本発明に係る有機ハロゲン化合物の分解装置は、 上述の実施形態に限定 されるものではなく、 以下の形態をも含むものである。
( 1 ) ミキサー 3 7内での混合を促進するための手段として、 オリフィス 3 8の 代わりに、 ミキサー 3 7内にビーズ等を充填するようにしてもよい。
この構成では、 フロンガス等と水蒸気がミキサー 3 7内に形成された隙間をラ ンダムに流通するため、 混合が促進される。
また、 ミキサー 3 7の内周面に複数のじゃま板を、 例えば上下または左右に交 互に間隔をおいて設置するようにしてもよい (スタティックミキサー) 。
この構成では、 フロンガス等と水蒸気が蛇行しながら流通するため、 混合が促 進される。
さらに、 ミキサー 3 7の入口側に接続される配管を流方向に対して傾斜させる とともに、 ミキサー 3 7の内周面に螺旋状に延びる案内板を設置するようにして もよい (スワールミキサー) 。
この構成では、 フロンガス等と水蒸気が螺旋を描きながら流れるため、 混合が 促進される。
( 2 ) 中和処理不足による酸性ガスの系外排出を未然に回避する手段として、 ァ ルカリ液の P H管理に代えて、 モー夕電流値を管理するようにしてもよい。 これは、 モー夕回転数が低下したり停止すると、 吹込管 4 5から放出された気 泡が十分に分断されず、 中和反応が十分に行われないことがあるためである。 こ れに対し、 モ一夕回転の異常をモータ電流値に基づき検出し、 制御装置 6 1から の指令によって分解装置の運転を停止させるようにすれば、 酸性ガスの系外排出 を未然に防止することができる。 ( 3 ) 反応管 1 5の内部は乾燥状態に保たれているため、 式 1の分解反応で生成 された酸性ガスによる腐食の影響はほとんどない。 しかしながら、 安全性をより 一層高めるために、 反応管 1 5を内包するような簡易型ブースを設置するととも に、 このブースと反応管 1 5との間に C 02ガスや C Oガス等を検出する排ガス センサを設けるようにしてもよい。
この構成では、 反応管 1 5の腐食状態を排ガスセンサを介して制御装置 6 1に より常に監視することができるため、 たとえ反応管 1 5が腐食して式 1の分解反 応による生成ガスが反応管 1 5から流出しても、 制御装置 6 1からの指令によつ て分解装置の運転を停止させるとともに、 流出した生成ガスを吸引することによ り、 酸性ガスの系外排出を防止することができる。 この場合のガス吸引は、 排気 ダク卜 4 2に設けられたブロア 4 3で兼用する。
( 4 ) 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内のスラリーは、 運転停止後、 ー晚放置しておけば 完全に沈降するため、 沈降した高濃度スラリーをポンプで汲み上げ、 これを固液 分離して処分するようにしてもよい。 この場合には、 高濃度スラリーのみを遊離 アル力リ液と混合することなく汲み上げることができるため、 効率の良いスラリ —処理が可能になる。
また、 アルカリ液に造粒剤、 凝集剤等を添加してスラリー粒子を増大させてお けば、 沈降時間を短縮し得て、 より効率良くスラリー処理を行える。
( 5 ) テスラコイル 1 4の先端を放電管 5の内部に配置する代わりに、 放電管 5 の外部に配置して、 火花放電で着火するようにしてもよい。
( 6 ) 回収フロンボンべ 2 8を加熱することによりガス状態にしてフロンガスを 流出させる代わりに、 回収フロンボンべ 2 8を倒立させて液状態のまま回収フロ ンを流出させ、 さらに差圧制御弁等の絞り装置に通して流れを定量化したうえで、 加熱気化させてヒ一夕 1 8側へと送るようにしてもよい。
この場合には、 絞り装置および配管を加熱することにより、 温度低下による流 量変動を抑制する。
( 7 ) 回収フロンボンべ 2 8の加熱には、 反応管 1 5の冷却に用いた冷却水に代 えて、 排ガス処理タンク 4 1内のスラリー冷却に使用された冷却機 5 3の冷却水 を用いてもよい。 (8) 上記の通り、 内管 1 1が溶融しなければ、 内管 1 1の先端とプローブアン テナ 9 aの先端とを一致させるのが最適である。 この場合、 内管 1 1の先端がプ ローブアンテナ 9 aの先端から内方に離間する距離 Lは、 プローブアンテナ 9 a の先端とマイクロ波によるエネルギー集中部との距離に等しくなる (すなわち、 L- 0となる) 。
(9) 気泡分断手段 52は、 軸部の先端にプロペラを固定してなるスクリュー式 のものであってもよい。
また、 気泡分断手段 52を、 各構成要素 52 b、 52 c、 52 dをテフロン等 の樹脂製とし、 かつこれらをネジ結合することにより構成してもよい。 この構成 では、 溶接部分がないうえに各構成要素 52 b、 52 c、 52 dが樹脂製となる ため、 耐食性が大幅に向上する。
(10) 吹込管 45の先端部を垂直方向に対して所定角度傾斜させる代わりに、 略 U字状に形成してもよい。
(1 1) 排ガス処理タンク 41に貯留される中和液に、 上記のアルカリ性懸濁液 に限らず、 水酸化ナトリゥム水溶液等のアル力リ性水溶液を用いてもよい。 産業上の利用可能性
以上のように、 本発明に係る有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置とその運転制御方法、 及び有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法は、 マイクロ波式プラズマトーチを用いた有 機ハロゲン化合物分解装置に適用して好適なものである。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . 外側導体及び内側導体よりなる円筒導波管と、 この円筒導波管内に同軸に 設置された内管及び外管よりなる二重構造の放電管とを備え、 前記内側導体を延 長してなるプローブアンテナが前記放電管を囲むように配置され、 前記内管の先 端が前記プローブアンテナの先端より内側に位置することを特徴とするマイクロ 波式プラズマトーチ。
2 . 有機ハロゲン化合物の分解物を中和処理するための処理液が収容された排ガ ス処理タンクと、 開口した下端部が前記排ガス処理タンク内の処理液に浸潰され た反応管と、 マイクロ波式プラズマトーチとを備え、 このマイクロ波式プラズマ トーチが、 前記反応管の上方に垂直方向に延在する外側導体及び内側導体よりな る円筒導波管と、 この円筒導波管内に同軸に設置された内管及び外管よりなる二 重構造の放電管とを備え、 前記内側導体を延長してなるプローブアンテナが前記 放電管を囲むように配置され、 前記内管の先端が前記プローブアンテナの先端よ り内側に位置することを特徴とするハロゲン化合物分解装置。
3 . プラズマの発生に先立ち、 内管及び外管よりなる二重構造の放電管に導入 され前記内管と前記外管との間を旋回して流れるアルゴンガスに着火してプラズ マを形成するプラズマ着火方法において、 前記内管と前記外管との間を流れるァ ルゴンガスの軸方向流速を 8 0 cm/ sec以上に設定したことを特徴とするプラズ マ着火方法。
4 . アルカリ液を収容する排ガス処理タンクと、 開口した下端部が前記アル力 リ液に浸潰された反応管と、 この反応管の上方に垂直方向に延在する円筒導波管 と、 この円筒導波管の内部に配置され、 その下端にて前記反応管に連通する内管 及び外管よりなる二重構造の放電管と、 水平方向に延在しその一端部近傍にて前 記円筒導波管に連接される方形導波管と、 この方形導波管の他端に装着されるマ イク口波発振器とを具備する有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置を用い、 前記反応管内 で有機ハ口ゲン化合物を水蒸気と反応させてブラズマにより分解する有機ハロゲ ン化合物の分解方法において、 前記プラズマの発生に先立ち、 前記放電管に導入 され前記内管と前記外管との間を旋回して流れるアルゴンガスの軸方向流速を 8 0 cm/ s ec以上に設定し、 このアルゴンガスに着火して前記プラズマを形成する ことを特徴とする有機ハロゲン化合物の分解方法。
5 . 前記軸方向流速を 2 3 O cmZsec以上に設定することを特徴とする請求項 4に記載の有機ハ口ゲン化合物の分解方法。
6 . 有機ハロゲン化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合物 を分解する有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 希ガス、 有機 ハ口ゲン化合物の順に装置系にガスの供給を開始するとともに、 前記有機ハ口ゲ ン化合物の供給を開始する前に、 前記希ガスをプラズマ化し、 前記有機ハロゲン 化合物の供給開始後に前記希ガスの供給を停止することを特徴とする有機ハロゲ ン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法。
7 . 前記プラズマ化を、 マイクロ波の照射により行うことを特徴とする請求項 6に記載の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法。
8 . 水の供給を、 希ガスを供給した後であって、 さらに有機ハロゲン化合物を 供給する前に開始することを特徴とする請求項 6または 7に記載の有機ハロゲン 化合物分解装置の運転制御方法。
9 . 前記希ガスの供給を開始する前に、 装置系内の水分除去処理を行うことを 特徴とする請求項 6ないし 8のいずれか 1項に記載の有機ハロゲン化合物分解装 置の運転制御方法。
1 0 . プラズマの着火を安定化するために行う装置系内の水分除去を、 ガスを 供給することにより行うことを特徴とする請求項 9に記載の有機ハ口ゲン化合物 分解装置の運転制御方法。
1 1 . 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の供給停止後に、 掃気ガスを装置系内に供給す ることを特徴とする請求項 6ないし 1 0のいずれか 1項に記載の有機ハロゲン化 合物分解装置の運転制御方法。
1 2 . 有機ハロゲン化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合 物を分解する有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 装置系内の 水分除去処理を行った後に有機ハロゲン化合物の分解処理を行うことを特徴する 有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法。
1 3 . 有機ハロゲン化合物をプラズマ化し、 水と反応させて有機ハロゲン化合 物を分解する有機ハロゲン化合物分解装置の運転制御方法において、 分解処理終 了後に、 掃気ガスを装置系内に供給することを特徴とする有機ハロゲン化合物分 解装置の運転制御方法。
1 4 . 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の分解中に、 前記有機ハロゲン化合物の分解物 を中和する処理液を攪拌し、 分解終了後に、 前記攪拌を停止することを特徴とす る請求項 6ないし 1 3のいずれか 1項に記載の有機ハ口ゲン化合物分解装置の運 転制御方法。
