Abstract

Verfahren zum steigenden Gießen/Niederdruckgießen - insbesondere von Leichtmetalllegierungen - mit einem unter einem Gießtisch (11) liegenden Gießofen mit einem Steigrohr und einer Mündungsöffnung des Steigrohres und mit einer Gießform (41) mit untenliegender Eingießöffnung (44) und mit einem Schieberverschluß (13), der einen Durchtrittskanal bildet, der zum Gießen einen im wesentlichen geraden Längsverlauf annimmt, wobei zum Absperren im Schieberverschluß zwei unmittelbar aneinander anschließende Öffnungsabschnitte des Durchtrittskanals unmittelbar nach dem Gießen bei noch flüssiger Schmelze in der Eingußöffnung quer zum Längsverlauf des Durchtrittskanals so gegeneinander verschoben werden, daß ein obenliegender Öffnungsabschnitt mit der Eingußöffnung hinterschnittfrei offen verbunden bleibt und ein untenliegender Öffnungsabschnitt mit der Mündungsöffnung des Steigrohres offen verbunden bleibt, wobei die Öffnungsabschnitte gegeneinander vollständig versetzt liegen.
