Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de partage de la largeur de bande nxSTS-1 et de protection d'anneau. Le système et le procédé de partage de la largeur de bande nxSTS-1 par tous les noeuds d'un anneau nxSTS-1 consistent à: 1) placer des nxSTS-1 dans l'anneau nxSTS-1; 2) créer une connexion nxVT point à point ou point à mulipoint à l'intérieur du canal de communication nxSTS-1; et 3) gérer globalement les ressources VT dans l'anneau par l'intermédiaire d'un gestionnaire d'anneau. Le système et le procédé de protection de l'anneau nxSTS-1 consistent à: 1) dans un mode normal, utiliser uniquement un gestionnaire d'anneau en tant que gestionnaire d'anneau actif; et 2) en cas de défaillance du gestionnaire d'anneau actif, faire d'un autre gestionnaire d'anneau un nouveau gestionnaire d'anneau actif suivant un protocole d'élection, chaque noeud dans l'anneau pouvant être un gestionnaire d'anneau candidat.
