Abstract

In particular, one embodiment of the invention relates to methods for performing a surgical procedure using a delivery catheter containing a fiber optic laser assembly. According to an embodiment of the invention, a method for performing a surgical procedure comprises the following steps: placing a delivery catheter in a specific area of the intervention; activation of a fiber optic laser assembly in the delivery catheter; and placing the fiber optic laser assembly to create a specific hole for treatment in the specific area of the intervention.
