Abstract

L'invention concerne une articulation artificielle (1), notamment une main artificielle, comprenant plusieurs éléments (2, 3) reliés entre eux de manière articulée et de manière à pouvoir pivoter autour de plusieurs axes au moyen d'un élément de raccordement (4) élastique. Cette articulation présente un moyen de traction (8, 9) qui sert à appliquer une force de traction pour permettre une flexion et une extension de chaque élément (2, 3). L'objectif de l'invention est de permettre d'obtenir, quelle que soit la position articulée, une aptitude à résister à des sollicitations élevées pour la transmission de forces importantes et un grand nombre de degrés de liberté pour différentes fonctions de préhension. A cet effet, l'espace (7) entre des surfaces d'articulation (5, 6) adjacentes est réduit, si nécessaire, de façon à permettre d'ajuster le nombre souhaité de degrés de liberté et d'obtenir simultanément un renforcement de l'articulation (1).
