Abstract

La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique orale à libération prolongée contenant une bêta-lactamine ou ses sels, hydrates ou esters pharmaceutiquement acceptables dans un mélange polymérique, la bêta-lactamine étant libérée pendant une période prolongée. Cette composition peut être administrée par voie orale une à deux fois par jour. De préférence, l'invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique à libération prolongée d'une bêta-lactamine présentant une tendance à se gélifier lorsqu'elle entre en contact avec les liquides gastro-intestinaux. De préférence encore, l'invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique à libération prolongée de promédicaments de cefpodoxime et de céfuroxime, tels que le cefpodoxime proxétil et le céfuroxime axétil.
