本発明は、交流負荷の力率改善を可能とする低コスト及び小型化を実現した、磁気エネルギーを回生する交流電源装置に関するものであり、該交流電源装置は、4個の逆導通型半導体スイッチにて構成されるブリッジ回路と、前記ブリッジ回路の直流端子間に接続され、前記電流遮断時の磁気エネルギーを蓄積するコンデンサと、前記誘導性負荷に直列に接続され、前記ブリッジ回路の交流端子間に挿入される交流電圧源と、前記各逆導通型半導体スイッチのゲートに制御信号を与えて、前記各逆導通型半導体スイッチのオン/オフ制御を行う制御回路とを具備し、前記制御回路は、前記ブリッジ回路を構成する4個の逆導通型半導体スイッチのうち、対角線上に位置するペアの逆導通型半導体スイッチのオン/オフ動作をそれぞれ同時に行うように制御するとともに、2組あるペアのうち、一方のペアがオンのときは、他方のペアがオフとなるように制御し、かつ、前記制御信号は前記交流電圧源の電圧に同期して切り換わることを特徴とする。

技術分野
本発明は、 交流負荷の力率改善を可能とする交流電源装置に関し、 詳 しくは、 従来の進相コンデンサの代わりに、 交流負荷と直列に磁気エネ 明
ルギーを回生する双方向電流スィツチを挿入して進相コンデンサの役目 を行わせる、 低コスト及び小型化を実現した交流電源装置に関する。
書 背景技術
ィンダク夕ンスのある負荷に交流電流を流す場合、 立ち上げ時には直 流抵抗分 (定常時の抵抗分電圧) よりも大きな電圧を印加する必要があ り、 電流の位相が遅れることにより力率が落ちるが、 この交流電流の力 率を改善するために、 直列に進相コンデンサを挿入してリアクタンス分 を減少させ、 電流を増加させることで力率を改善していた。
直列に挿入する進相コンデンサ方式による力率改善は、 負荷の力率が 運転状態により変化する場合、 もしくは電源周波数が大幅に変化する回 路には向かないという問題がある。
—方、 誘導電動機のように起動から定常運転に至る始動時、 負荷電流 の力率が変化するが、 これを補償するために、 半導体スィッチを用いた AC - DC - AC リンクのィンバ一夕 ·コンバ一タセッ トが用いられ、 周波 数と電圧を下げて起動し、運転時は回転数制御をするが、コストが高く、 PWM制御による高調波障害と、 DC電圧を維持するための大きな電解コ ンデンサが必要となるため、 サイズが大きくなるという欠点がある。 また、 誘導電動機の始動時は、 インダクタンス成分が大きく電流の力 2004/006674 率が悪く、 有効な電流が少なく始動時には大きなトルク(始動トルク)が 得られないという問題がある。 発明の開示
かかる従来の力率改善方法では限界があり、 進相コンデンサ方式に代 わる力率改善回路を有する、 低コスト及び小型化を実現した交流電源装 置が要望されていた。
本発明は、上述のような事情に鑑み為されたものであり、その目的は、 交流負荷の力率改善を可能とする低コスト及び小型化を実現した交流電 源装置を提供することにある。
本願の発明者らは、 負荷電流を遮断した場合の回路に残っている磁気 エネルギーをコンデンサに蓄え、 次回のオン時にそのエネルギーを負荷 に放電して電流を急速に上昇させることにより、 力率を向上させ得るこ とに着目した。 すなわち、 負荷に流れる電流は、 電流遮断時にその磁気 エネルギーがコンデンサに蓄積されて停止し、 次回オン時に負荷に回生 され急速に電流が立ち上がるので、 結局、 流れる電流は増加し、 より低 い電圧で大きな電流が流せることになり、 広い意味での電源力率の改善 となるからである。
そこで、 磁気エネルギー回生双方向スィッチを交流回路に用いて、 電 流を任意のタイミングで遮断して、 磁気エネルギーをコンデンサに蓄積 し、 逆方向に任意のタイミングで再び電流を負荷に流すことにより、 交 流電流の電流位相を強制的に制御できることに想到した。
なお、 前記磁気エネルギー回生双方向スィッチは、 負荷電流を遮断し た場合の回路に残っている磁気エネルギーをスィツチプリッジ内に設け られた蓄積コンデンサに蓄え、 次回のオン時にそのエネルギーを負荷に 放電して電流を急速に上昇させる無損失な電流スィッチであり、 本願出 2004/006674 願人により、 すでに特許出願されているものである (特開 2 0 0 0— 3 5 8 3 5 9号公報参照)。
本発明は、 交流負荷の力率改善を可能とする交流電源装置に関し、 本 発明の上記目的は、 上述の如く、 誘導性負荷に交流電流を供給するとと もに、 電流遮断時の磁気エネルギーを回生して前記誘導性負荷への供給 電流として利用する交流電源装置であって、 該交流電源装置は、 4個の 逆導通型半導体スィツチにて構成されるプリッジ回路と、 前記プリッジ 回路の直流端子間に接続され、 前記電流遮断時の磁気エネルギーを蓄積 するコンデンサと、 前記誘導性負荷に直列に接続され、 前記ブリッジ回 路の交流端子間に接続される交流電圧源と、 前記各逆導通型半導体スィ ツチのゲートに制御信号を与えて、 各半導体スィツチのオン オフ制御 を行う制御回路とを具備し、 前記制御回路は、 前記ブリッジ回路を構成 する 4個の逆導通型半導体スィツチのうち、 対角線上に位置するペアの 逆導通型半導体スィツチのオン Zオフ動作をそれぞれ同時に行うように 制御するとともに、 2組あるペアのうち、 一方のペアがオンのときは、 他方のペアがオフとなるように制御し、 かつ、 前記制御信号は前記交流 電圧源の電圧に同期して切り換わることを特徴とする磁気エネルギーを 回生する交流電源装置によって達成される。 図面の簡単な説明

本発明は、 構造が簡単で小型化、 低コスト化が可能な、 交流電源装置 を提供するために、 交流電圧源と誘導性負荷の間に挿入した磁気エネル ギー回生双方向電流スィツチのパルス電流発生機能を、 電源に同期した タイミングでオン オフすることに用いれば、 交流電流の位相を制御で きるということを利用している。以下、図面を参照して詳細に説明する。 第 1図は本発明に係る交流電源装置 1 0の基本的な構成を示した図で あるが、 交流電圧源 2 0とインダクタンスのある誘導性負荷 5 0の間に 磁気エネルギー回生双方向電流スィツチ 3 0 ( 4つの逆導通型半導体ス イッチ 3 1をブリツジ接続して構成されている。) を揷入し、 制御手段 4 0により、 交流電圧源 2 0の電圧に同期した信号でパワー MOSFET 3 1 (逆導通型半導体スィッチの一例) の各ゲート (G 1〜G 4 ) を制御し て電流をオン オフさせるものである。
前記磁気エネルギー回生双方向電流スィッチ 3 0は、 電流遮断時の磁 気エネルギーを蓄積するためのコンデンサ 3 2を内蔵しているために、 次回、 オン時にはコンデンサ 3 2の放電により、 遮断時と同じ電流を回 生することができる。
誘導性負荷 5 0には電流のオン オフ時にパルス的な電圧が印加され るが、 電圧の大きさはコンデンサ 3 2の静電容量を選ぶことでパワー MOSFET 3 1 と誘導性負荷 5 0の耐電圧許容範囲内にすることが出来 るが、 結局、 従来の直列力率改善コンデンサと異なり、 直流のコンデン サが使えることが利点である。
制御手段 4 0は 4つのパワー MOSFET 3 1のゲートを制御するが、 対 向するペアすなわち順方向電流のペア ( 1 と 2 ) もしくは逆方向の ペア (G 3と G 4 ) は、 電流の流したい方向に応じてオン/オフするこ とで良いが、 コンデンサ 3 2に電圧がある間は、 順方向電流のペアと逆 方向のペアを同時にオンさせないことに注意する必要がある。
ゲート制御は交流電圧源 2 0の電圧に同期して行うが、 例えば電流の 力率を改善する場合の例では、電圧が正の間は、順方向のゲー卜(G 1 , G 2 ) をオンし、 電圧が負の間は、 逆方向のゲート (G 3, G 4 ) をォ ンすれば、 電圧に完全に同じ向きの電流が流れることになるが、 それば かりではなく、 このスィツチは電流の遮断時の磁気エネルギーをコンデ ンサ 3 2に蓄え、 そのエネルギーで今度は逆方向に放電して電流を急速 に立ち上げ負荷供給電流を増やすことになる。 交流電圧源 2 0の電圧と ゲ一トの状態の関係については、 以下の表 1の通りである。

以下、磁気エネルギー回生双方向電流スィツチの交流での動作原理を、 第 5図を参照して説明する。
① SW1と SW2がオンの間は、 電流は図の下から上 (正の方向) へ流れ、
2並列導通状態となる(第 2図における電流がフラッ トな状態のところ)。
②交流電圧源 2 0の電圧が正から負へ反転する直前 (本実施例では、 約 2 ms前) に SW1 と SW2をオフにすると (このとき、 SW3及び SW4は オンに変わる。)、(1 )の経路でコンデンサに磁気エネルギーが充電される。

以上のようにして、 負荷電流を遮断した場合の回路に残っている磁気 エネルギーをコンデンサに蓄え、 次回のオン時にそのエネルギーを負荷 に放電して電流を急速に上昇させることにより、 力率を向上させること ができる。
第 2図は本発明に係る交流電源装置の動作シミュレーション結果を示 す図であるが、磁気エネルギー回生双方向電流スィツチ 3 0ありの場合、 電流の位相が電圧と同相になり電流が増えているのがわかるが、 これは 負荷の力率を改善したことに他ならず、 この装置は広い意味の力率改善 装置として働いたことになる。
ゲート信号の位相をさらに進めれば、 位相の進んだ電流が流れ、 遅ら せれば電流を減少させることもできることが、 また 1 8 0度遅らせれば 電流は停止する。
なお、 前記逆導通型半導体スィツチの実施例としてパワー MOSFET を用いて説明を行ったが、 逆導通型 GTO サイリス夕、 又はダイオード と IGBT等の半導体スィツチとの並列接続から成るュニッ トを使用して も同じ効果が得られる。 産業上の利用可能性
上述の通り、 本発明に係る磁気エネルギーを回生する交流電源装置に よれば、 電流の位相を強制的に電源位相と同じ位相に同期させることが 出来るので、 電流の力率を改善することができ、 従来の DC リンク方式 にくらベて、 低コストで小型な交流電源装置が実現できる。
本発明に係る交流電源装置を誘導電動機の電源として使用することに より、 始動時の始動トルクを増大させることができる。 第 3図は、 始動 トルクを実測するための実験回路を示すものであり、 第 4図はその始動 トルクの実測値と従来の交流電源を用いた場合の始動トルクとを比較し たグラフである。 この図からも分かるように、 本発明に係る交流電源装 置を用いた場合は、同じ相電圧において約 4倍の始動トルクが得られる。

Claims

1 . 誘導性負荷に交流電流を供給するとともに、 電流遮断時の磁気エネ ルギーを回生して前記誘導性負荷への供給電流として利用する交流電源 装置であって、
該交流電源装置は、

4個の逆導通型半導体スィツチにて構成されるプリッジ回路と、 前記プリッジ回路の直流端子間に接続され、 前記電流遮断時の磁気ェ の
ネルギ一を蓄積するコンデンサと、
前記誘導性負荷に直列に接続され、 前記ブリッジ回路の交流端子間に 囲
挿入される交流電圧源と、
前記各逆導通型半導体スィツチのゲートに制御信号を与えて、 前記各 逆導通型半導体スィツチのオンノオフ制御を行う制御回路とを具備し、 前記制御回路は、 前記プリッジ回路を構成する 4個の逆導通型半導体 スィッチのうち、 対角線上に位置するペアの逆導通型半導体スィッチの オン Zオフ動作をそれぞれ同時に行うように制御するとともに、 2組あ るペアのうち、 一方のペアがオンのときは、 他方のペアがオフとなるよ うに制御し、 かつ、 前記制御信号は前記交流電圧源の電圧に同期して切 り換わることを特徴とする、 磁気エネルギーを回生する交流電源装置。
2 . 前記各逆導通型半導体スィツチが、パワー MOS FET、逆導通型 GTO サイリス夕、 又はダイォードと IGBT等の半導体スィツチとの並列接続 から成るュニッ トのいずれかである請求の範囲第 1項に記載の磁気エネ ルギーを回生する交流電源装置。
