Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'illumination produisant un faisceau de lumière polarisée, ledit dispositif d'illumination comprenant une source de lumière (101) présentant une surface émettrice de lumière conçue pour émettre de la lumière (107) dans un plan (X-Y) ; un premier réflecteur polarisant (103) conçu pour envelopper la surface émettrice de lumière de ladite source de lumière (101) dans ledit plan, et conçu pour recevoir ladite lumière, réfléchir la lumière (109) présentant une première polarisation elliptique dans une direction cible (Z) et transmettre la lumière (111) présentant une deuxième polarisation elliptique opposée ; et un deuxième réflecteur (105) conçu pour envelopper ledit premier réflecteur polarisant (103) dans ledit plan (X-Y), et conçu pour recevoir la lumière (111) transmise par le premier réflecteur polarisant (103) et réfléchir la lumière à polarisation elliptique (113) dans la direction cible (Z). La présence de deux réflecteurs enveloppant une source de lumière à émission par la tranche permet d'obtenir une illumination plus efficace à l'aide d'un faisceau dont la forme reste constante.
