  • Figure 5 is a rear view of a pair of pants including the decoration of the present disclosure extending horizontally over an opening.

  • FIG 1 shows a garment 10 having a substrate 12 of fabric having openings 14, 16 and 18 therein. Opening 16 and 18 are adjacent holes. As illustrated, they may be in the rear or buttocks section of a pair of pants.
  • the decoration includes a header 22 and a plurality of vertical elements 24 depending there from. The spacing of the elements 24 lie across the opening 14 without obscuring the opening 16 or the substrate 12.
  • a fastener 26 which may be, for example, Velcro, is secured to the fabric or substrate 12 complimentary Velcro element is provided on the header 22.
  • the elements 24 may be, for example, beads, straps or other material secured to or form a unitary part of the header 22 such that the ends will sway or move horizontally relative to the garment as the garment moves or the wearer of the garment moves and walks. This provides an eye-attracting element to the decoration for the garment 10 as well as the opening 14.
  • the purpose of the spacing of the vertical elements 24 is to create a swaying and peek-a-boo look without obscuring the opening, hole or the garment or its substrate.
  • the header 22 may include ornamentation 23 as illustrated in Figure 1 with the word "love,” for example. This may also be the name of the wearer or any other catchy phrase or ornamentation such as jewels, buttons, etc.
  • the garment may be a shirt, blouse or sweater 30 having an opening or hole 34 on for example the breast portion of the garment or substrate 32.
  • the decoration 20 includes the header 22, vertical elements 24 and a plurality of transverse elements 28 lying across the vertical elements 24.
  • the combination of the vertical elements 24 and the transverse elements 28 create a mesh which lay over the hole 34 without obscuring the hole or the garment or its substrate.
  • the combination of the vertical strips 24 and the horizontal strips 28 may create decorative patterns, for example, a flag, the wearers' name, sayings or other combination of visual elements.
  • the fastening device may be any well-known fastening device including but not limited to a snap, Velcro, zipper, adhesive, hook and eye, button and button hole. These are removable attachments. If permanent attachment is desired, the decorative element 20 may be sewn to the garment. By using a removable fastener, the decorative element over the holes 14, 16, 18 and 34 may be changed for providing different accents, appearances or colors. This allows a single pair of pants, for example, blue jeans, or a pair of black pants or sweater to have multiple decorations like changing pins, scarves, or other decorative objects. Multiple decorative elements 20 can be provided in a single packet offering different colors, different shapes and different messages.
  • the holes have been shown on garments opposite the breast plate or the buttocks, they may be provided on other locations on different garments.
  • the knee is a very common location of a hole on trousers either intentionally formed or naturally from wear and tear and the decorative element may be secured thereto.
  • the present decorative element may be used on garments which have to be modified to provide the hole, which may be a decorative shape itself, like for example, the heart shown in Figure 1 or the garment may already have a hole, for example, in the knee or the buttocks to which a decorative element can be provided.
  • the decorative element 20 may also be adjacent an opening 19 which may be a pocket opening with a pocket or the pocket removed to reveal the body of the wearer as shown in Figure 3.
  • the decorative element 20 is shown adjacent and not covering the opening 19, but may be mounted to cover the opening 19 as in the previous figures.
  • the angular or skewed mounting of the decorative element 20 provides an attractive ornamentation and may be mounted anywhere on the garment without or displaced from an opening or hole as shown in Figure 4.
  • FIGs 5 and 6 The ability to have a decorative element 20 which may be mounted horizontally is shown in Figures 5 and 6.
  • the spaced elements 24 extend between a pair of headers 22.
  • the headers are spaced such on the garment 10 such that the elements 24 are not taught but dangle and remain spaced. This allow the elements to move relative to the garment 10 as the garment moves and not obscure the garment or an opening.
  • the headers 22 are mounted adjacent the heart shaped openings 14 with the elements 24 extending over the opening 14.
  • Figure 6 the headers 22 are mounted adjacent and between a pair of openings 17 with the elements 24 extending between the openings 17.
  • the decorative element may be used any where on a garment.

Abstract

Le présent vêtement comprend une patte dotée de plusieurs éléments espacés pendant de celle-ci sans cacher le support.
