Abstract

 排気マニホルドの壁面温度が上限温度を超えないように制御しつつ、アクセルペダルの踏み込み量が最大時に対するディーゼルエンジンの出力性能の向上を図ることのできるディーゼルエンジンの制御装置が開示される。該制御装置は、ECUを備える。該ECUは、燃料噴射量とエンジンの回転速に基づいて排気マニホルドの壁面温度を推定する。ECUは、排気マニホルドの壁面温度が排気マニホルドの壁面温度の上限温度に達し得ると判定した場合、排気マニホルドの壁面温度が上限温度に達し得ると判定されてから同壁面温度が上限温度に達するまでの温度上昇期間を算出する。また、ECUは、前記温度上昇期間中に、前記燃料噴射量を、前記上限噴射量に前記温度上昇期間に応じた増量補正分を加えることによって得られる補正噴射量に補正する。
