Abstract

L'invention vise à proposer un procédé dans lequel la détérioration d'une membrane d'échange d'anions en l'espace d'une courte période peut être empêchée de façon efficace, et qui peut produire de l'hydroxyde d'ammonium quaternaire pur de façon stable pendant une longue période sans nécessiter le remplacement de la membrane par une nouvelle membrane. À cet effet, l'invention concerne un procédé pour produire de l'hydroxyde d'ammonium quaternaire par la disposition d'une membrane d'échange d'anions et d'une membrane d'échange de cations entre des électrodes et la distribution d'une solution aqueuse d'un sel d'ammonium quaternaire halogéné à une chambre de solution de réserve tournée vers le côté d'une cathode de la membrane d'échange d'anions pour conduire l'électrolyse. Dans le procédé, une membrane comprenant une couche de base (31) et une couche de surface (33) formée sur une surface de la couche de base (31) et ayant une densité de réticulation élevée, est utilisée comme membrane d'échange d'anions, et la membrane d'échange d'anions est disposée de telle sorte que la couche de surface est positionnée sur le côté d'une anode (1) pour conduire l'électrolyse.
