Abstract

マグネシウム、アルミニウム、ニッケル及びコバルトを構成元素とし、且つ、ルテニウム及び/又はパラジウムを含有する触媒であり、金属ルテニウム微粒子及び/又は金属パラジウム微粒子の平均粒子径が0.5nm~20nmであり、金属ルテニウム及び/又は金属パラジウムの含有量が前記触媒に対して0.05~5.0wt%であることを特徴とする炭素数が2以上の炭化水素から成る炭化水素を分解する触媒。本発明の触媒は炭素数が2以上の炭化水素(C2)から成る炭化水素を効率良く分解し、より安価であり、炭化水素の分解・除去に対して優れた触媒活性を示し、特にプロパンの分解能に優れており、耐コーキング性に優れている。
