[MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The belt strength, Kn (N/mm), and sectional area determined from the nominal cord diameter of the steel cord, A (mm2), satisfy the relationship 90≤ Kn/A ≤150. The undersurface cover rubber (1b) consists of a rubber of loss coefficient as low as 0.08 or below. A reinforcing cloth (3) is embedded in the undersurface cover rubber (1b).
