Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Navigationssystem (4) in einem Fahrzeug, umfassend: eine Eingabeeinrichtung, an der Bedienerbefehle und/oder Ortsangaben, insbesondere Startpunkte und/oder Zielpunkte, eingegeben werden können, eine Wegnetzdatenbank (8), eine Routenberechnungseinheit (5) zur Berechnung einer geplanten Route unter Berücksichtigung der Ortsangaben und der Wegenetzdatenbank (8), wobei die Route vom Startpunkt zum Zielpunkt führt, eine Signalempfangseinheit (6) zum Empfang von Positionssignalen, insbesondere GPS-Signalen, eine Positionsermittlungseinheit (5), die die aktuelle Position aus den Positionssignalen bestimmt, zumindest eine optische und/oder akustische Ausgabeeinrichtung (9), zumindest einen Witterungssensor oder eine Witterungssensorschnittstelle (16, 17), über die Daten zumindest eines Witterungssensors (12, 13, 14, 19) empfangen werden können, mit folgenden Verfahrensschritten: a) Bestimmung der aktuellen Witterungsverhältnisse durch Auswertung der Messdaten des Witterungssensors (12, 13, 14, 19); b) Ausgabe eines Witterungswarnhinweises unter Berücksichtigung der aktuellen Witterungsverhältnisse und/oder Berechnung der geplanten Route unter Berücksichtigung der aktuellen Witterungsverhältnisse.
