Abstract

La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'une population de cellules contenant : (a) des cellules neurales précurseurs prédestinées à un développement oligodendroglial; (b) des cellules neurales précurseurs non prédestinées (c) des oligodendrocytes différenciés; ou (d) une combinaison de cellules appartenant à (a), (b) ou (c), pour le traitement de maladies auto-immunes du SNC, ou pour la préparation d'une composition pharmaceutique destinée à traiter des maladies auto-immunes du SNC, la population de cellules étant dérivée de cellules souches humaines pluripotentes. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant d'obtenir de telles populations de cellules, à savoir des cellules neurales précurseurs prédestinées à un développement oligodendroglial ainsi que des oligodendrocytes différenciés qui peuvent ensuite être utilisés pour le traitement de maladies auto-immunes du SNC. Dans le cadre de la présente invention, une maladie auto-immune préférée est la sclérose en plaques dont le traitement local est réalisé par une administration de la population de cellules au SNV.
