Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement de surface d'un substrat par une irradiation de particules sur le substrat qui constitue la surface de substrat. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à appliquer des premières particules sur la surface du substrat, ce qui provoque un flux de particules positif sur la surface du substrat et à émettre des particules d'érosion sous la forme d'au moins un faisceau de particules d'érosion sur la surface du substrat, le faisceau de particules d'érosion provoquant un flux de particules négatif sur la surface du substrat. L'application est effectuée simultanément ou en alternance avec l'étape d'émission. Une zone de la surface du substrat sur laquelle les premières particules sont appliquées chevauche au moins partiellement une zone de la surface du substrat irradiée par le faisceau de particules d'érosion dans une zone de chevauchement de la surface du substrat. Le flux cumulatif résultant des flux positif et négatif combinés dans la zone de chevauchement étant non positif, le flux cumulatif résultant assure une diminution ou une quantité nette stable de particules dans la zone de chevauchement de la surface du substrat. Les premières particules et le faisceau de particules d'érosion comprennent des particules atomiques ou moléculaires, les premières particules étant fournies par une source située en dehors d'un plan qui s'étend avec au moins une partie de la surface du substrat. De plus, l'invention concerne un dispositif de traitement de surface et un dispositif cible qui permettent de réaliser le procédé de traitement de surface de l'invention.
