버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 방법 및 그 장치 기술분야
본 발명은 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 버디의 녹화 장치 또는 네트워크 상의 녹화 장치를 이용하여 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩을 제어하는 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것이다.
배경기술
디지털 방송이 발전하고 하드 디스크와 같은 디지털 저장 매체의 용량이 증가함에 따라, 사용자가 선택한 방송 프로그램을 디지털 저장 매체에 레코딩하고 이후 재생하는 PVR(Personal Video Recorder) 장치가 등장하였다.
PVR 장치는 로컬 디지털 저장 매체에 방송 프로그램을 레코딩하는 로컬 PVR 장치 및 네트워크 상의 서버에 있는 디지털 저장 매체에 방송 프로그램을 레코딩하는 NPVR(Network Personal Video Recorder) 장치를 포함한다.

 기술적 해결방법
본 발명의 목적은 버디를 위한 컨텐츠를 레코딩하기 위해, 버디의 녹화 장치 또는 네트워크 상의 녹화 장치를 이용하여 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩을 제어하는 방법 및 그 장치를 제공하는데 있고, 상기 방법을 실행시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록 매체를 제공하는데 있다.
 유리한 효과
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 레코딩 장치를 이용하여 사용자 자신을 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생이 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생이 가능하다. 따라서, 레코딩 장치의 이용도 면에서 사용자 편의성이 증대될 수 있다.
본 발명의 또 다른 실시예에 따르면, 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생 서비스를 제공함과 동시에, 버디 개인을 위한 맞춤화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스를 제공할 수 있으므로, 컨텐츠 제공 및 이용도 면에서 사용자 편의성 및 서비스의 질이 증대될 수 있다.

이하, 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 본 발명에 따른 바람직한 실시예를 상세히 설명한다. 도면에서 동일한 참조부호는 동일한 구성요소를 지칭하며, 도면 상에서 각 구성 요소의 크기는 설명의 명료성을 위하여 과장되어 있을 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 서비스의 개략도이다.
본 실시예의 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 서비스는 네트워크 상의 관리 서버(110), 스트리밍 서버(140), 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130) 및 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)를 포함한다.
네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 네트워크 상의 서버에 있는 디지털 저장 매체에 방송 프로그램을 레코딩하는 NPVR을 의미하며, 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)는 로컬 디지털 저장 매체에 방송 프로그램을 레코딩하는 로컬 PVR을 의미하나, 기술 발전에 따라 동일 기능을 수행하는 다른 장치일 수도 있다.
관리 서버(110)는 버디를 위한 컨텐츠를 레코딩하기 위해 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 및 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)를 제어한다. 스트리밍 서버(140)는 디지털 방송 프로그램을 실시간으로 제공하는 서버를 의미한다. 이하, 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 서비스의 동작을 설명한다.
사용자 A(150)는 스트리밍 서버(140)가 제공하는 방송을 시청하고 있는 중에(171), 버디(사용자 B)(160)로부터 현재 방송 중인 특정 채널을 레코딩해달라는 요청을 받는다. 사용자 A(150)는 버디(160)가 원하는 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보 등을 관리 서버(110)로 전송한다(172).
관리 서버(110)는 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태인지를 판단한다(173).
버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태인 경우, 관리 서버(110)는 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)에게 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 포함하는 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송한다(174). 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)는 관리서버(110)로부터 수신받은 레코딩 개시 메시지에 기초하여 해당 채널을 레코딩한다(176).
이후, 버디가 레코딩된 채널을 재생하고자 하는 경우, 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)는 버디를 위해 레코딩된 컨텐츠 목록을 출력하고, 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)는 선택된 컨텐츠를 재생한다(178).
버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태가 아닌 경우, 관리 서버(110)는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 포함하는 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송한다(175). 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 관리서버(110)로부터 수신받은 레코딩 개시 메시지에 기초하여 해당 채널을 레코딩한다(177).
이후, 버디가 레코딩된 채널을 재생하고자 하는 경우, 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 버디를 위해 레코딩된 컨텐츠 목록을 출력하고, 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 선택된 컨텐츠를 재생한다(179).
본 실시예에 따르면, 레코딩 장치를 이용하여 사용자 자신을 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생이 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생이 가능하다. 따라서, 레코딩 장치의 이용도 면에서 사용자 편의성이 증대될 수 있다.
한편, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따르면, 관리서버(110)는 버디를 위한 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스 제공을 위한 정보를 이용하여 레코딩 개시 메시지를 갱신하고, 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 전송한다. 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 수신한 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 컨텐츠를 재생하기 전에 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스 제공을 위해 명시된 정보를 통해 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다.
본 실시예에 따르면, 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 및 재생 서비스를 제공함과 동시에, 버디 개인을 위한 맞춤화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스를 제공할 수 있으므로, 컨텐츠 제공 및 이용도 면에서 사용자 편의성 및 서비스의 질이 증대될 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지 포맷을 도시한다.
레코딩 요청 메시지는 버디(160)를 위한 레코딩 요청을 위해, 사용자 A(150)로부터 관리서버(110)로 전송된다. 레코딩 개시 메시지는 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)가 레코딩을 수행하도록 제어하기 위해, 관리서버(110)로부터 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 전송된다.
레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지는 컨텐츠 정보(210), 버디 정보(220) 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보(230)를 포함한다. 본 실시예는 레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지를 XML(Extensible Markup Language) 형식으로 기술하지만 다른 형식을 이용하여 기술하는 것도 가능할 것이다. 도 2에 도시된 바와 같이, 컨텐츠 정보(210)는 컨텐츠 제목, 유형, 실시간 방송 시간 및 재생 기간을 포함한다. 버디 정보(220)는 버디의 식별자 정보를 포함한다. 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보(230)는 컨텐츠 재생을 위한 패스워드 정보를 포함한다.
도 3은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따른 광고 서비스 제공을 위해 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지 포맷을 도시한다.
관리서버(110)는 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)가 버디(160)를 위한 컨텐츠를 재생하는 경우, 버디(160)를 위해 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스 제공을 위한 정보를 포함하도록 레코딩 개시 메시지를 갱신할 수 있다.
도 3은 관리서버(110)가 버디(160)를 위한 광고 서비스를 제공하기 위해 추가한 정보(390)를 도시한다. 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 수신한 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)는 컨텐츠를 재생하기 전에 URL로 명시된 광고 사이트에서 광고 서비스를 제공받는다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 관리서버(110)의 버디를 위한 컨텐츠 레코딩 제어 과정을 나타낸 흐름도이다.
단계 410에서, 관리서버(110)는 외부 입력에 의해 버디(160)를 위한 레코딩 요청 메시지를 수신한다.

단계 430은 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태인 경우로서, 관리서버(110)는 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)에게 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송한다.
단계 440은 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태가 아닌 경우로서, 관리서버(110)는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송한다.
레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지는 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 포함한다. 본 실시예는 레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지를 XML(Extensible Markup Language) 형식으로 기술하고 HTTP를 이용하여 전송하고 있으나, 다른 형식 및 다른 프로토콜을 이용하는 것도 가능할 것이다.
한편, 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따르면, 관리서버(110)는 버디를 위한 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스 제공을 위한 정보를 이용하여 레코딩 개시 메시지를 갱신하고, 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 전송한다.

레코딩 개시부(630)는 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)가 레코딩 가능한 상태인 경우, 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120)에게 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송하고, 그렇지 않은 경우, 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 레코딩 개시 메시지를 전송한다.
레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지는 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 포함한다. 본 실시예는 레코딩 요청 메시지 및 레코딩 개시 메시지를 XML(Extensible Markup Language) 형식으로 기술하고 HTTP를 이용하여 전송하고 있으나, 다른 형식 및 다른 프로토콜을 이용하는 것도 가능할 것이다.
갱신부(640)는 버디를 위한 개인화된 서비스 및 광고 서비스 제공을 위한 정보를 이용하여 레코딩 개시 메시지를 갱신한다. 레코딩 개시부(630)는 갱신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 버디의 로컬 레코딩 장치(120) 또는 네트워크 상의 레코딩 장치(130)에게 전송한다.
도 7은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 버디를 위한 컨텐츠를 레코딩하는 레코딩 장치(700)의 구조를 도시하는 블록도이다.
레코딩 장치(700)는 수신부(710), 레코딩부(720), 출력부(730), 저장부(740) 및 재생부(750)를 포함한다.
수신부(710)는 관리서버(110)로부터 레코딩 개시 메시지를 수신한다. 레코딩 개시 메시지는 컨텐츠 정보, 버디 정보 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 포함한다.
레코딩부(720)는 수신된 레코딩 개시 메시지를 이용하여 레코딩을 수행한다.
출력부(730)는 사용자가 레코딩된 컨텐츠를 재생하고자 하는 경우, 외부 입력에 기초하여 버디에게 레코딩된 컨텐츠 목록을 출력한다.
저장부(740)는 수신부(710)가 수신한 레코딩 개시 메시지에 포함된 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 저장한다.
재생부(750)는 출력부(730)가 출력한 컨텐츠 목록 중 특정 컨텐츠 및 컨텐츠 패스워드 정보를 버디로부터 입력받은 후, 컨텐츠를 재생한다.
한편, 상술한 본 발명의 실시예들은 컴퓨터에서 실행될 수 있는 프로그램으로 작성가능하고, 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 이용하여 상기 프로그램을 동작시키는 범용 디지털 컴퓨터에서 구현될 수 있다.
상기 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체는 마그네틱 저장매체(예를 들면, 롬, 플로피 디스크, 하드디스크 등), 광학적 판독 매체(예를 들면, 시디롬, 디브이디 등) 및 캐리어 웨이브(예를 들면, 인터넷을 통한 전송)와 같은 저장매체를 포함한다.
이상에서 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예가 상세히 기술되었지만, 본 발명의 범위는 이에 한정되지 않고, 다양한 변형 및 균등한 타 실시예가 가능하다. 따라서, 본 발명의 진정한 기술적 보호범위는 첨부된 특허청구범위에 의해서 정해져야 할 것이다.
