Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un système combiné de direction et de commande pour un engin de chantier tel qu'une motoniveleuse. Dans un mode de réalisation, il est proposé un système combiné de direction et de commande pour une motoniveleuse. Une pluralité de commutateurs de commande est agencée sur un dispositif de direction. Les commutateurs de commande communiquent avec des actionneurs d'outils de travail, qui commandent et déplacent l'outil de travail en fonction des instructions. Un opérateur manipule les commutateurs de commande pour diriger le mouvement et la position d'un outil de travail, tel qu'une lame de motoniveleuse. Le dispositif de direction a une position neutre. À mesure que le dispositif de direction est déplacé à partir de sa position neutre, un signal d'entrée de direction est généré pour indiquer un angle de volant. Un dispositif de commande de direction génère un signal de commande de direction sensible à la vitesse sur route, à l'angle de roue porteuse et à l'angle de volant, pour amener des roues porteuses orientables à tourner à un angle de roue porteuse requis. Le dispositif de direction a une plage de rotation limitée pour permettre un accès continu à l'opérateur à tous les commutateurs de commande à l'intérieur de la totalité de la plage de rotation du dispositif de direction. Le rapport de l'angle de roue porteuse requis à l'angle de volant définit un rapport d'échelle de direction. De préférence, le rapport d'échelle de direction n'est pas constant. La variation du rapport d'échelle de direction avec la vitesse sur route et l'angle de roue porteuse permet un virage complet des roues porteuses même si le dispositif de direction a une plage de rotation limitée.
