Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Abtrennen einer Stickstoff-reichen Fraktion aus einer im Wesentlichen Stickstoff und Kohlenwasserstoffe enthaltenden Einsatzfraktion beschrieben, wobei die Einsatzfraktion rektifikatorisch in eine Stickstoff-reiche und eine Methan-reiche Fraktion aufgetrennt wird und wobei die Methan-reiche Fraktion zum Zwecke der Kälteerzeugung bei einem möglichst hohen Druck gegen die abzukühlende Einsatzfraktion verdampft und überhitzt wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird die noch flüssige oder partiell verdampfte Methan-reiche Fraktion (5') einem Umlaufbehälter (D) zugeführt, lediglich der in dem Umlaufbehälter (D) anfallende Flüssiganteil der Methan-reichen Fraktion (5') vorzugsweise im Natur- Umlauf vollständig verdampft und das Kopfprodukt (7) des Umlaufbehälters (D) überhitzt (E1).
