Une installation de séparation d'air comprenant une première colonne (1) distiller moyenne pression, une deuxième colonne (2) distiller basse pression, une troisième colonne (3) distiller basse pression, un premier condenseur-vaporiseur (9,9A), un deuxième condenseur-vaporiseur (5) disposé dans la cuve de la deuxième colonne, une conduite (33) pour amener de l'air à la première colonne, une conduite (35) pour amener un liquide enrichi en azote de la tête de la première colonne à la tête de la troisième colonne, au moins une conduite (23) pour amener du liquide de la cuve de la troisième colonne au premier condenseur-vaporiseur, une conduite (25) pour amener un liquide de cuve de la première colonne à la troisième colonne, une conduite (21) pour amener du liquide du premier condenseur-vaporiseur à la deuxième colonne, une conduite (15,19) pour amener du gaz de la tête de la deuxième colonne à la cuve de la troisième colonne, les première, deuxième et troisième colonnes étant disposées côte à côte.
