Abstract

Um bei einem Verbrennungsmotor mit innerer, intermittierender Verbrennung, mit einer aus wenigstens einem Verdichtungszylinder (12) bestehenden Verdichtergruppe (11), mit wenigstens einer aus wenigstens zwei Expansionszylindern (14) bestehenden Expandergruppe (13) und mit einem zwischen der Verdichtergruppe sowie der Expandergruppe angeordneten Wärmeübertrager einen höheren Wirkungsgrad zu erzielen, wobei eine Kaltstromkammer des Wärmeübertragers einen aus der Verdichtergruppe austretenden sowie in die Expandergruppe eintretenden Arbeitsgasstrom aufweist und eine Heißstromkammer des Wärmeübertragers einen aus der Expandergruppe austretenden Abgasstrom aufweist, schlägt die Erfindung einen Verbrennungsmotor vor, welcher stromabwärts der Kaltstromkammer einen Arbeitsgasverteiler mit wenigstens zwei Ausgängen aufweist, wobei die Ausgänge des Arbeitsgasverteilers jeweils mit einem Eingang der Expansionszylinder verbunden sind.
