Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble cathodique pour une cellule électrolytique d'aluminium, comprenant au moins un bloc cathodique à base de carbone et/ou de graphite, ce bloc cathodique présentant au moins une gorge au moins partiellement recouverte d'une feuille de graphite, au moins une barre omnibus étant prévue dans la ou les gorges, cette barre omnibus présentant au moins partiellement une enveloppe en fonte. Dans la paroi du bloc cathodique délimitant la ou les gorges est ménagé au moins un évidement et l'enveloppe en fonte pénètre au moins en partie dans le au moins un évidement. L'invention porte également sur un bloc cathodique pour un ensemble cathodique de ce type et sur un procédé de fabrication d'un ensemble cathodique de ce type pour une cellule électrolytique d'aluminium.
