Abstract

La presente invención corresponde a una proteína recombinante o aislada proveniente del tiburón Heterodontus francisci con actividad de reconocimiento por eritrocitos bovinos y que además puede fusionarse con secuencias de antígenos y/o proteínas característicos de enfermedades infecciosas. Asimismo, esta proteína al ser fusionada con antígenos específicos de enfermedades infecciosas, tiene la propiedad de hemoaglutinar, al reconocer a los eritrocitos bovinos y anticuerpos característicos de estas enfermedades, que estén presentes en estado activo, en muestras biológicas como sangre total, plasma o suero de origen bovino. Incluidos en la invención hay métodos para proteger la detección de anticuerpos característicos de enfermedades infecciosas, utilizando la proteína de fusión o extracto periplásmico purificado y/o sin purificar de la proteína recombinante.
