Abstract
Es wird ein Verfahren zum Abtrennen unerwünschter Komponenten, wie beispielsweise Stickstoff, Sauerstoff, Wasserstoff und/oder Neon, aus einem unerwünschte Komponenten enthaltenden Helium-Strom, beschrieben, wobei dieser gegen ein Kältemedium zunächst bis auf eine Temperatur, die maximal 8 K über dem Gefrierpunkt der unerwünschten Komponente bzw. im Falle mehrerer unerwünschter Komponenten bis auf eine Temperatur, die maximal 8 K über dem höchsten Gefrierpunkt der unerwünschten Komponenten liegt, abgekühlt (1. Abkühlschritt) und die dabei kondensierende(n) unerwünschte(n) Komponente(n) aus dem Helium-Strom abgetrennt wird bzw. werden, und wobei der Helium-Strom anschließend weiter abgekühlt wird (2. Abkühlschritt), so dass die unerwünschte(n) Komponente(n) ausfrieren, und wobei die Menge und/oder die Zusammensetzung des oder der für den 1. und/oder 2. Abkühlschritt verwendeten Kältemediums bzw. Kältemedien regelbar sind. Erfindungsgemäß wird der Helium-Strom nach dem 2. Abkühlschritt einem der Abtrennung von Wasserstoff und/oder Neon dienenden Adsorptionsprozess unterworfen.
