 以下、本発明に係る液体供給システムをガス滅菌装置に適用した実施例を説明する。公知のとおり、ガス滅菌装置は過酢酸等の滅菌剤を用いて医療器具等を滅菌するものであるが、本発明の液体供給システムの適用は該ガス滅菌装置に限定されるものでない。
1.全体構成
以下に説明する実施形態の液体供給システム(全体を符号1で示す。)は、概略、図1~図3に示す供給ユニット(全体を符号2で示す。)と図9,11、13または15に示す計量ユニット(10,201,301,または401)を有する。
2.供給ユニット
供給ユニット2の構成を説明する。
2.1:ハウジング
供給ユニット2は、後述する種々の構成部品を収容する筐体(ハウジング)10を有する。簡略化するために、図面にはハウジング10の一部のみ、例えば操作時にオペレータが対向する前壁11の一部だけが記載されている。
図1を参照すると、ハウジング前壁11には、ハウジング10内の所定場所に後述する液体容器(以下、単に「容器」という。)20を装入するための開口12が形成されている。開口12は、それに適合した形状と大きさの扉13によって閉じられるように構成することが好ましい。扉の形式は、限定的ではなく、任意の形式(例えば、片開き式、両開き式又は、スライド式)であってもよい。
実施形態の扉13は、片開き扉で、開口12の形状に対応する形状(例えば、略四角形)を有し、前方から見て左端がハウジング10の対応箇所に回転可能にヒンジ(図示せず)されている。扉13を閉位置(図示せず)に保持するラッチ機構を設けることが好ましい。ラッチ機構は、例えば、扉13の内面に取り付けた磁性金属片14と、ハウジング10に取り付けた磁石15を有し、扉13を閉じた状態で磁石15が金属片14を保持するようにしてもよい。
2.2:容器
図5,6に示すように、容器20は、薬液(例えば、滅菌用の過酢酸)を収容する本体21を有する。実施形態では、本体21は、上下方向に伸びる中心軸22を中心とする円筒体で、上部に口部を備えている。実施形態では、本体21は口部の周囲に外ねじ(図示せず)が一体的に形成されており、この外ねじに蓋23が装着される。蓋天井壁24の中央領域25は他の部分よりも薄くして、後述するように、より小さな力で中空穿孔針(後述する)が該中央領域25を突き破るように設計することが好ましい。
本発明において、容器20の本体21は、プラスチック、ガラス、又は金属で形成される。蓋23は、プラスチック又は金属で形成される。
容器20は、本体と蓋の2つの部材で構成する必要はなく、単一の部材で構成してもよい。具体的には、本体を1つの材料で一体的に成形し、本体の一部に形成された封止可能な口部を通じて液体が封入される容器であってもよい。
2.3:容器受け部
図5,6に示すように、開口12の背後には、ハウジング10の底部の一部を形成する基台16が配置されている。基台16の上には、略L形の容器受け部30が、開口12に対向して固定されている。図6に示すように、容器受け部30は、容器本体21の底部27を支持する下部支持部31と容器本体21の肩部26を支持する上部支持部32を有する。図示するように、下部支持部31は、本体底部27の形状に対応した大きさと形の円形の隆起部からなるテーブル33と、本体下部の形状に対応した略半円筒形の窪みを有する下部半円筒壁34を有する。上部支持部32は、本体肩部26の形状に対応した略半円筒形の窪みを有する上部半円筒壁35を有する。実施形態では、下部支持部31と上部支持部32を連結する垂直部36には、容器本体21の円筒形の窪みを有する円筒壁37が形成されている。実施形態ではまた、下部支持部31に、テーブル33の開口側に突起38が形成されている。
このような実施形態の構造によれば、開口12から装入された容器20は、本体底部27を突起38の内側(テーブル側)に係合させた斜めの状態から、容器20を起こしながら本体肩部26を上部半円筒壁35に押し込むとともに、本体底部27を下部半円筒壁34に押し込んで固定される。図5に示すように、この状態で、容器20は、本体底部27がテーブル33、下部半円筒壁34、及び突起38によって規制され、また、本体肩部26が上部半円筒壁35によって規制され、テーブル33の中心を通る垂直軸39に容器20の中心軸22を一致させた直立状態で、前後・左右・上下のすべての方向への移動(水平移動、垂直移動)が制限される。
2.4:容器収容室
図2~図4に示すように、実施形態では、開口12の内側に、容器受け部30とそこに装着された容器20とを囲む部屋、すなわち、容器収容室40が形成されている。容器収容室40は、左右の側壁41と、背後の後壁42と、天井壁43によって構成されており、開口12を介して外部に開放可能となっている。天井壁43には、垂直軸39を中心とする円形の窓44が形成されており、この窓44を通じて後述する中空穿孔針が容器20にアクセスできるようにしてある。
左右の側壁41のハウジング前壁11に隣接する箇所は上方に伸ばされて延長側壁45が形成されている。また、ハウジング前壁11から離れた、左右の延長側壁45の後方垂直縁の間には左右方向に伸びる延長後壁46が形成され、この延長後壁46の下端に天井壁43の前端が一致しており、延長側壁45と延長後壁46とハウジング前壁11の間に隙間47が形成されている。
図1に示すように、延長後壁46の一部(下部)は開口12に露出している。また、延長後壁46の開口露出面に対向する扉13の内面上部に、後述する扉ロック機構60の一部(被係合部65)が設けてある。
2.5:針、第1移動機構、ロック機構
 図2~図4に示すように、ハウジング前壁11の背後には、固定ブラケット(第1固定部)51が配置されている。固定ブラケット51は、適当な部材を介して間接的に、またはそのような部材を介することなく直接、ハウジング10に固定される。固定ブラケット51は、駆動部(第1駆動部)52を支持している。駆動部52は電気モータを有する。モータの回転軸は、垂直方向に向けられたボールねじ53が連結されており、モータの正逆回転にしたがってボールねじ53が回転するようにしてある。ボールねじ53はナット54を介して可動ブラケット(第1可動部)55に連結されており、ボールねじ53の回転により可動ブラケット55が上下に移動するようにしてある。
 可動ブラケット55は、ボールねじ53の回転と共に可動ブラケット55が回転(供回り)することなく、上下方向に移動するように、適当な回転防止手段を設けることが好ましい。例えば、ボールねじ53と平行に伸びる垂直ガイド56(図7参照)をハウジング10又は基台16に固定するとともに、可動ブラケット55またはこれに連結されたロックプレート61(後述する)を垂直ガイド56に沿って上下方向にのみ移動するように規制する。
 可動ブラケット55はまた、容器収容室40の垂直軸39上に、可動ブラケット55を上下方向に貫通する孔57(図7参照)が形成されている。また、可動ブラケット55の下面には、孔57に隣接して中空穿孔針58が固定されており、中空穿孔針58の内腔の中心軸と孔57の中心軸が垂直軸39(図6参照)上に整列している。
 中空穿孔針58は、その名称のとおり、中空の円筒体の下部を斜めに切り落とすることによって尖塔部59が形成されている。中空穿孔針58の材料は限定的ではないが、液体が強酸性又は強アルカリ性の場合、液体との接触によって腐食しない材料で形成されるか、または、そのような材料で表面が被覆される。代表的な耐腐食性材料としては、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンが挙げられる。
 図7に示すように、可動ブラケット55は、扉13をロックする機構の一部として機能するロックプレート61を有する。実施形態では、ロックプレート61は、細長い板をブラケット状に折り曲げて形成されており、可動ブラケット55から垂直上方に伸びる第1部分62と、第1部分62の上端から前壁11に向かって水平前方に伸びる第2部分63と、第2部分63の末端から垂直下方に向けて伸びる第3部分64を有する。第3部分(以下、「係合部」という。)64は、前壁11と延長後壁46との間に形成された隙間47にその上方から進入している。係合部64に対応して、扉内面の延長後壁46に対向する領域には、係合部64と係合可能な被係合部65が設けてあり、これら係合部64と被係合部65によってロック機構60が形成されている。実施形態では、係合部64は垂直方向に伸びる細長い板で、被係合部65はこの板が進入可能な枠によって形成されている。
 このように、固定ブラケット51、駆動部52、ボールねじ53、ナット54、可動ブラケット55は、中空穿孔針58を、該中空穿孔針58が容器20の上方に十分退避している上昇位置(第1針位置)と、該中空穿孔針58が容器20の蓋23を破ってそこを貫通している下降位置(第2針位置)との間で移動させる、第1移動機構50を構成している。
 第1移動機構50とロック機構60はまた、中空穿孔針58が第1針位置にあるとき、係合部64が被係合部65と係合することなく扉13は開放可能(アンロック)で、中空穿孔針58が第1針位置から多少下降した位置(ただし、中空穿孔針58は容器20の蓋23から十分な距離を隔てている。以下、この位置を「第3針位置」という。)で係合部64が被係合部65に係合し、中空穿孔針58が第3針位置から更に下降して第2針位置に移動する間、係合部64が被係合部65に常時係合して扉13は開放不能(ロック)を維持するように、設計されている。
 中空穿孔針58が第1針位置、第2針位置、または第3針位置のいずれにあるかを判断するために、中空穿孔針58を支持する可動ブラケット55の位置を検出する検出器81,82,83を設けることが好ましい。
2.6:第2移動機構
 図2~図4に示すように、基台16の上には、固定ブラケット71が固定されている。固定ブラケット71は、駆動部(第2駆動部)72を支持している。駆動部72は電気モータを有する。モータの回転軸は、垂直方向に向けられたボールねじ73が連結されており、モータの正逆回転にしたがってボールねじ73が回転するようにしてある。ボールねじ73はナット74を介して可動ブラケット(第2可動部)75に連結されている。
可動ブラケット75は、貫通孔76を備えている。また、基台16は、ボールねじ73と平行に伸びるガイドロッド77を支持しており、このガイドロッド77が可動ブラケット75の貫通孔76を貫通している。したがって、ボールねじ73が回転すると、可動ブラケット75はガイドロッド77に案内されながら上下に移動する。
 可動ブラケット75は垂直軸39の延長上に貫通孔78を有する。貫通孔78には剛性材料からなる中空の吸引チューブ(管)79が垂直軸39に沿って上下方向に移動可能に挿通されている。可動ブラケット75に対して吸引チューブ79を位置決めするために、可動ブラケット75にはホルダ80が固定されている。ホルダ80は、例えばゴムなどの弾性材料で形成され、吸引チューブ79の外径よりも小径の小さな垂直孔が形成されており、その垂直孔に吸引チューブ79がはめ込まれている。したがって、吸引チューブ79は可動ブラケット75に対して上下に動かすことができるとともに、吸引チューブ79の下端を所望の高さに設定した状態で吸引チューブ79に固定できる。
実施形態では、可動ブラケット75から下方に向けて伸びる吸引チューブ79の長さは、中空穿孔針58が第1針位置(上昇位置)にあるとき、少なくとも一部の吸引チューブ79が中空穿孔針58の内腔に位置して中空穿孔針58を垂直軸39上に保持し、中空穿孔針58が第2針位置(下降位置)にあるとき、吸引チューブ79が容器20の内部に入り、その下端が容器20の内側底面に軽く接するか又はほぼ接しないように、調整される。
 このように、固定ブラケット71、駆動部72、ボールねじ73、ナット74、可動ブラケット75は、吸引チューブ79を、該吸引チューブ79が容器20の上方に十分退避している上昇位置(第1管位置)と、該吸引チューブ79が容器20の蓋23を貫通してその下端が容器底面近傍に位置する下降位置(第2管位置)との間で移動させる、第2移動機構70を構成している。
 吸引チューブ79が第1管位置または第2管位置のいずれにあるかを判断するために、可動ブラケット75の位置を検出する検出器84,85を設けることが好ましい。
2.7:動作
 供給ユニット2の動作を説明する。
2.7.1:容器の装着
 容器収容室40に容器20が装着されていない状態で、中空穿孔針58は第1針位置をとり、吸引チューブ79は第1管位置をとり、これら中空穿孔針58と吸引チューブ79は共に容器収容室40の上方に退避している。したがって、ロック機構60の係合部64は被係合部65から離間し、扉13は開放可能な状態(アンロック状態)にある。
 容器20を容器収容室40に装着する場合、扉13を開け、開口12を介して容器20を容器収容室40に入れる。このとき、容器20は、斜めに保ったままその本体底部27から容器収容室40に装入し、本体底部27を容器受け部30の突起38の内側に位置させる。次に、斜め状態から容器20の姿勢を直立状態に変えながら、容器底部27を下部半円筒壁34に押し込むとともに、本体肩部26を上部半円筒壁35に押し込む。これにより、容器20は容器受け部30に安定して保持される。その後、扉13を閉める。
2.7.2:開蓋処理
 容器収容室40に固定された容器20から液体を供給する場合、例えば、ハウジング10に設けた開蓋処理開始スイッチ(図示せず)をオペレータが押すと、システム1の制御部に組み込まれたコンピュータ90がそこに格納されているプログラムが起動し、以下に説明する開蓋処理を実行する。
 開蓋処理に入ると、コンピュータ90は、駆動部52を駆動し、中空穿孔針58を第1針位置から第2針位置に向けて下降する。下降中、中空穿孔針58が第3針位置に達すると、ロック機構60の係合部64が被係合部65に係合し、扉13を開閉不能な状態(ロック状態)にする。
中空穿孔針58は、第3針位置を通過した後、容器収容室40の天井壁43の窓44を通り、蓋23の中央領域25を破ってそこを貫通する。コンピュータ90は、中空穿孔針58が蓋23を貫通した状態で駆動部52を停止し、その状態(第2の針位置)を維持する。コンピュータ90はまた、中空穿孔針58の下降に併せて駆動部72を駆動し、中空穿孔針58が下降する間、常に吸引チューブ79の少なくとも一部が中空穿孔針58の内腔に位置している状態を維持することが好ましい。ただし、中空穿孔針58が蓋23を貫通するまで、吸引チューブ79の下端は蓋23に接触しないように、吸引チューブ79と蓋23の距離が保たれる。
 開蓋後、中空穿孔針58は蓋23を貫通した位置(第2針位置)を維持してもよい。代わりに、開蓋後、コンピュータ90は中空穿孔針58を蓋23から上昇させて離間させてもよい。その後、液体の吸引に際し、コンピュータ90は駆動部72を駆動し、吸引チューブ79の下端を液体中に差し込む。吸引チューブ79は、液体の吸引又は非吸引時を問わず常時液体に浸かっていてもよいし、非吸引時は液面よりも上に維持するようにしてもよい。
2.7.3:容器交換
 容器交換時、ハウジング10に設けたスイッチ(図示せず)をオペレータが押す。これにより、システム1のコンピュータ90が駆動部52,72を駆動し、中空穿孔針58を第1針位置に戻し、吸引チューブ79を第1管位置に戻す。これにより、ロック機構60が解除される。以後、オペレータは、扉13を開けて、容器20を容器収容室40から取り出すことができる。容器20を取り出す手順は、装着時の手順とは逆である。容器の交換は、容器20の液体残量が所定量以下になったと検知されたとき、また、容器20又は液体の有効期限が切れたことが検知されたときにも、行われるようにしてもよい。なお、容器交換スイッチが押された場合、また、液体残量が所定量以下になったことが検知された場合、容器20に残留している液体が廃液貯蔵室(例えば、図9に符号153で示す。)に吸引されて回収される(この処理を「容器交換準備処理」という。)。
3.計量ユニット
計量ユニットの実施形態を説明する。
3.1:実施形態1
 実施形態1の計量ユニット101を説明する。
3.1.1:構成
 図9に示すように、計量ユニット101は、液体を輸送する第1輸送路111、第2輸送路112、第3輸送路113、及び第4輸送路114を有する。第1輸送路111は、一端が上述した吸引チューブ79の上端に接続されており、他端が処理室(第1の部屋)121に接続されている。処理室121は、例えばガス滅菌装置の滅菌室で、真空ポンプ(第1の減圧手段)123が接続されており、処理室121内の空間122を真空に減圧することができるようにしてある。図示しないが、処理室121には、滅菌処理を適正に管理するうえで必要な種々の器具(例えば、圧力検出器、温度検出器)が設けてある。
 第1輸送路111には、吸引チューブ79から処理室121に向かって順番に、第1弁131、計量室(第2の部屋)151、第2弁132、及び気化室152が設けてある。計量室151の容積(第2の容積)は処理室121の容積(第1の容積)よりも小さく、例えば、処理室121の容積は100~150リットルの場合、計量室151の容積は2~7ミリリットルに設定される。また、第1輸送路111は、第1弁と吸引チューブ79との間に第1分岐部141を有し、第2弁132と気化室152との間に第2分岐部142を有する。第2輸送路112は、一端が第1分岐部141に接続され、他端が廃液貯蔵室153に接続されており、第1分岐部141から廃液貯蔵室153に向かって順番に、一時貯蔵室154と第3弁133が設けてある。第3輸送路113は、一端が第2分岐部142に接続され、他端が廃液貯蔵室153に接続されており、第2分岐部142から廃液貯蔵室153に向かって順番に、第4弁134と第3分岐部143が設けてある。第4輸送路114は、第5弁135を有し、一端が第3分岐部143に接続され、他端が大気に開放されている。
 上述した第1弁131~第5弁135はいずれも電磁弁が好適に利用される。真空ポンプ123と第1~第5弁135はコンピュータ90に接続されており、コンピュータ90の出力に基づいて動作するように構成されている。
3.1.2:動作
 図10を参照して、計量ユニット101の動作を説明する。
(ステップ1)
 コンピュータ90は、吸引チューブ79が容器20内に挿入されてその先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことを検出すると、第1、2,3,5弁131,132,133,135を閉じ、第4弁134を開ける。コンピュータ90はまた、真空ポンプ123を駆動する。これにより、処理室121と気化室152と廃液貯蔵室153が所定の真空圧に設定される。廃液貯蔵室153の真空圧は、上述した容器交換準備処理に利用される。後述する他の実施形態でも同様である。
 上述の場合に限らず、弁134は、例えば、真空ポンプ123が駆動され、処理室121の圧力が例えば80,000Paに到達したときにも、開けられることがある。以下に説明する他の実施形態でも同様である。
吸引チューブ79の先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことは、検出器81,82,83からの信号をもとに検出することができる。または、駆動部72の駆動時間をもとに、吸引チューブ79の位置を検出することができる。
(ステップ2)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第4弁134を閉じ、第3弁133を開く。これにより、容器20内の液体が吸引チューブ79を介して吸引され、一時貯蔵室154に供給される。このように、本実施形態では、第3弁133、第4弁134、第5の弁135、及び廃液貯蔵室153が、一時貯蔵室154を減圧して真空にする減圧手段(第2の減圧手段)として機能する。
(ステップ3)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第3弁133を閉じる。第3弁133を開いてから閉じるまでの時間は、所定量の液体が一時貯蔵室154に充填されるように設定される。これにより、吸引チューブ79から一時貯蔵室154までの第1輸送路部分が液体で満たされる
(ステップ4)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁132を開いて計量室151を気化室152及び処理室121に連通し、計量室151の空気を吸引する。
(ステップ5)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁132を閉じる。これにより、計量室151が所定の真空圧に設定される。
(ステップ6)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁131を開く。これにより、容器20の液体が計量室151に吸引される。上述のように、吸引チューブ79とそれに続く一時貯蔵室154までの第1輸送路部分は液体で満たされているので、計量室151に空気が入ることはなく、確実に所定量の液体が計量室151に充填される。
(ステップ7)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後第1弁131を閉じる。この時間は、計量室151が液体で完全に又はほぼ完全に充満されるために必要な時間に設定される。
(ステップ8)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁132を開放する。この結果、計量室151の液体は、処理室121と気化室152の真空に引かれ、気化室152で気化してガスになり、そのガスが処理室121に供給される。以上の工程により、所定量(計量室の容量に相当する。)の液体がガス化されて処理室121に供給され、そこで滅菌処理に利用される。
 処理室121に供給される液体の量は、ステップ8の後、上述のステップ5~ステップ7を繰り返すことによって調整できる。繰り返す回数は、計量室151の容積に応じて変わる。
(ステップ9)
 以上の処理を通じて所定量の液体が供給されると、コンピュータ90は駆動部を駆動して吸引チューブ79を液体から引き上げ、吸引チューブ79を液体と非接触状態に保つ。
(ステップ10)
 コンピュータ90は、第3弁133を開き、真空に保たれている廃液貯蔵室153に、一時貯蔵室154及びこれに連通する第2輸送路112や吸引チューブ79に残留する液体を廃液貯蔵室153に回収する。
(ステップ11)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第3弁133を閉じて残留液の回収を終了する。
(ステップ12)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁132を閉じる。
(ステップ13)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁131を開き、第1弁131の下流側に残留する液体を気化室152に吸引する。
(ステップ14)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第1弁131を閉じる。
(ステップ15)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁132を開く。これにより、計量室151の液体が処理室121に供給される。
(ステップ16)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後、第2弁132を閉じる。この時間は、気化室152等に残留する液体やガスが完全に処理室121内に吸引されるために必要な時間に設定される。
 このように、実施形態1の計量ユニット101によれば、所定量の液体が正確に計量され、気化されて処理室121(例えば、ガス滅菌室)に供給される。

3.2.1:構成
 図11に示すように、実施形態2の計量ユニット201は、一時貯蔵室を備えていない点で、実施形態1の計量ユニットと異なる。
3.2.2:動作
 図12を参照して計量ユニット201の動作を説明する。
(ステップ1)
 コンピュータ90は、吸引チューブ79が容器20内に挿入されてその先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことを検出すると、第1、2,3,5弁231,232,233,235を閉じ、第4弁234を開ける。コンピュータ90はまた、真空ポンプ223を駆動し、処理室221と気化室252と廃液貯蔵室253を所定の真空圧に設定する。
吸引チューブ79の先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことは、検出器81,82,83からの信号をもとに検出することができる。または、駆動部72の駆動時間をもとに、吸引チューブ79の位置を検出することができる。
(ステップ2)
 コンピュータ90は、第4弁234を閉じ、第3弁233を開く。これにより、容器20内の液体が吸引され、吸引チューブ79と、該吸引チューブ79から第3弁233までの第2輸送路部分が、液体で満たされる。このように、本実施形態では、第3弁233、第4弁234、第5の弁235、及び廃液貯蔵室253が、第2輸送路部分を減圧して真空にする減圧手段(第3の減圧手段)として機能する。
(ステップ3)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁232を開いて計量室251を気化室252及び処理室221に連通し、計量室251の空気を吸引する。
(ステップ4)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁232を閉じ、計量室251を所定の真空圧に設定する。
(ステップ5)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁231を開く。これにより、容器20の液体が計量室251に吸引される。このとき、吸引チューブ79と、該吸引チューブ79から第3弁233までの第2輸送路部分は液体が満たされて空気は存在しないので、計量室251には所定量の液体が吸引される。
(ステップ6)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第1弁231を閉じる。この時間は、計量室251が液体で完全に又はほぼ完全に充満されるために必要な時間に設定される。
(ステップ7)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁232を開放する。この結果、計量室251の液体は、処理室221と気化室252の真空に引かれ、気化室252で気化し、その気化したガスが処理室221に供給される。
(ステップ8)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁232を閉じる。この時間は、計量室251の液体が完全に又はほぼ完全に処理室221に供給されるために必要な時間に設定される。以上の工程により、所定量(計量室の容量に相当する。)の液体がガス化されて処理室221に供給され、そこで滅菌処理に利用される。
(ステップ9)
 以上の処理によって容器20から処理室221に供給される液体の量は限られており、処理室221が必要とする液体の総量が一回の供給量よりも少ない場合、ステップ8の後、上述のステップ3~ステップ6を繰り返す。
(ステップ10)
 コンピュータ90は、直前のステップ6で計量室251に充填された液体を処理室221に供給するために、第2弁232を開け、計量室251の液体を送り出す。
(ステップ11)
 コンピュータ90は、駆動部72を駆動して吸引チューブ79を液体から引き上げ、吸引チューブ79を液体と非接触状態に保つ。
(ステップ12)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁232を閉じる。
(ステップ13)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁231を開き、引き上げられた吸引チューブ79に残留する液体を計量室251に吸引する。
(ステップ14)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第1弁231を閉じる。
(ステップ15)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁232を開け、計量室251の液体を気化室252から処理室221に供給する。
(ステップ16)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁232を閉じる。
 このように、実施形態2の計量ユニット201によれば、ステップ11~16で、第1弁231から吸引チューブ79の末端までの内腔に存在する液体が計量室に回収されて処理室に供給される。
3.3:実施形態3
 実施形態3の計量ユニット301を説明する。
3.3.1:構成
 図13に示すように、実施形態3の計量ユニット301は、液体を輸送する第1輸送路311、第2輸送路312、及び第3輸送路313を有する。第1輸送路311は、一端が上述した吸引チューブ79の上端に接続されており、他端が処理室321に接続されている。処理室321は、例えばガス滅菌装置の滅菌室で、真空ポンプ323が接続されており、処理室321内の空間322を真空にすることができるようにしてある。図示しないが、処理室321には、滅菌処理を適正に管理するうえで必要な種々の器具(例えば、圧力検出器、温度検出器)が設けてある。
 第1輸送路311には、吸引チューブ79から処理室321に向かって順番に、第1弁331、計量室351、第2弁332、及び気化室352が設けてある。また、第1輸送路311は、第1弁と吸引チューブ79との間に第1分岐部341を有する。第2輸送路312は、一端が第1分岐部341に接続され、他端が第2分岐部342に接続されており、第1分岐部341から第2分岐部342の間に一時貯蔵室354が設けてある。第3輸送路313は、一端が大気に開放され、他端が廃液貯蔵室353に接続されており、一端と他端との間に、第1ポンプ361、第3弁333、第2分岐部342、第4弁334、及び第2ポンプ362が配置されている。廃液貯蔵室353の室内は、排気管371を介して大気に開放されている。
 上述した第1弁331~第4弁334はいずれも電磁弁が好適に利用される。真空ポンプ323と第1弁331~第4弁334はコンピュータ90に接続されており、コンピュータ90の出力に基づいて動作するように構成されている。
3.3.2:動作
 図14を参照して計量ユニット301の動作を説明する。
(ステップ1)
 コンピュータ90は、吸引チューブ79が容器20内に挿入されてその先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことを検出すると、第1、2,3弁331,332,333を閉じ、第4弁334を開ける。コンピュータ90はまた、第2ポンプ362を駆動する。これにより、容器20内の液体が吸引チューブ79を介して吸引され、一時貯蔵室354に供給される。
(ステップ2)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第4弁334を閉じ、第2ポンプ362を停止する。ここでの所定時間は、所定量の液体が一時貯蔵室354に充填されるように設定される。これにより、吸引チューブ79から一時貯蔵室354までの第2輸送路部分が液体で満たされる
(ステップ3)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁332を開いて計量室351を気化室352及び処理室321に連通し、計量室351の空気を吸引する。
(ステップ4)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁332を閉じる。これにより、計量室351が所定の真空圧に設定される。
(ステップ5)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁331を開く。これにより、容器20の液体が計量室351に吸引される。上述のように、吸引チューブ79とそれに続く一時貯蔵室354までの第1輸送路部分は液体で満たされているので、計量室351に空気が入ることはなく、確実に所定量の液体が計量室351に充填される。
(ステップ6)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後第1弁331を閉じる。この時間は、計量室351が液体で完全に又はほぼ完全に充満されるために必要な時間に設定される。
(ステップ7)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁332を開放する。この結果、計量室351の液体は、処理室321と気化室352の真空に引かれ、気化室352で気化してガスになり、そのガスが処理室321に供給される。以上の工程により、所定量(計量室の容量に相当する。)の液体がガス化されて処理室321に供給され、そこで滅菌処理に利用される。
 処理室321に供給される液体の量は、ステップ7の後、上述のステップ4~ステップ7を繰り返すことによって調整できる。
(ステップ8)
 以上の処理を通じて所定量の液体が供給されると、コンピュータ90は駆動部を駆動して吸引チューブ79を液体から引き上げ、吸引チューブ79を液体と非接触状態に保つ。
(ステップ9)
 コンピュータ90は、第3弁333を開き、第1ポンプ361を駆動して大気を吸引し、第2輸送路312と、吸引チューブ79と、第1輸送路311における第1分岐部341から第1弁331の間、に残留する液体を容器20に戻す。
(ステップ10)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第3弁333を閉じ、第1ポンプ361を停止する。
(ステップ11)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁332を閉じる。
(ステップ12)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁331を開き、第1の弁331の上流側に残留する液体、例えば、第1分岐部341から第1弁331の間に残留する液体を計量室351に吸引する。
(ステップ13)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第1弁331を閉じる。
(ステップ14)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁332を開く。これにより、計量室351の液体が処理室321に供給される。
(ステップ15)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後、第2弁332を閉じる。この時間は、気化室352等に残留する液体やガスが完全に処理室321内に吸引されるために必要な時間に設定される。
 このように、実施形態3の計量ユニット301によれば、一時貯留室354と第2輸送路312に残留する液体がすべて容器に戻される。
3.4:実施形態4
 実施形態4の計量ユニット401を説明する。
3.4.1:構成
 図15に示すように、実施形態4の計量ユニット401は、液体を輸送する第1輸送路411、及び第2輸送路412を有する。第1輸送路411は、一端が上述した吸引チューブ79の上端に接続されており、他端が処理室421に接続されている。処理室421は、例えばガス滅菌装置の滅菌室で、真空ポンプ423が接続されており、処理室421内の空間422を真空にすることができるようにしてある。図示しないが、処理室421には、滅菌処理を適正に管理するうえで必要な種々の器具(例えば、圧力検出器、温度検出器)が設けてある。
 第1輸送路411には、吸引チューブ79から処理室421に向かって順番に、第1弁431、計量室451、第2弁432、及び気化室452が設けてある。また、第1輸送路411は、第1弁と吸引チューブ79との間に分岐部441を有する。第2輸送路412は、一端が分岐部441に接続され、他端が廃液貯蔵室453に接続されており、分岐部441から廃液貯蔵室453の間に一時貯蔵室454、第3弁333、ポンプ461が配置されている。廃液貯蔵室453の室内は、排気管471を介して大気に開放されている。
 上述した第1弁431~第3弁333はいずれも電磁弁が好適に利用される。真空ポンプ423と第1~第3弁333はコンピュータ90に接続されており、コンピュータ90の出力に基づいて動作するように構成されている。
3.3.2:動作
 図16を参照して計量ユニット401の動作を説明する。
(ステップ1)
 コンピュータ90は、吸引チューブ79が容器20内に挿入されてその先端が容器底面又はその近傍に達したことを検出すると、第1、2弁431,432を閉じ、第3弁333を開ける。コンピュータ90はまた、ポンプ461を駆動する。これにより、容器20内の液体が吸引チューブ79を介して吸引され、一時貯蔵室454に供給される。
(ステップ2)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第3弁333を閉じ、ポンプ461を停止する。ここでの所定時間は、所定量の液体が一時貯蔵室454に充填されるように設定される。これにより、吸引チューブ79から一時貯蔵室454までの第2輸送路部分が液体で満たされる。
(ステップ3)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁432を開いて計量室451を気化室452及び処理室421に連通し、計量室451の空気を吸引する。
(ステップ4)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第2弁432を閉じる。これにより、計量室451が所定の真空圧に設定される。
(ステップ5)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁431を開く。これにより、容器20の液体が計量室451に吸引される。上述のように、吸引チューブ79とそれに続く一時貯蔵室454までの第1輸送路部分は液体で満たされているので、計量室451に空気が入ることはなく、確実に所定量の液体が計量室451に充填される。
(ステップ6)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後第1弁431を閉じる。この時間は、計量室451が液体で完全に又はほぼ完全に充満されるために必要な時間に設定される。
(ステップ7)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁432を開放する。この結果、計量室451の液体は、処理室421と気化室452の真空に引かれ、気化室452で気化してガスになり、そのガスが処理室421に供給される。以上の工程により、所定量(計量室の容量に相当する。)の液体がガス化されて処理室421に供給され、そこで滅菌処理に利用される。
 処理室421に供給される液体の量は、ステップ7の後、上述のステップ4~ステップ7を繰り返すことによって調整できる。
(ステップ8)
 以上の処理を通じて所定量の液体が供給されると、コンピュータ90は駆動部を駆動して吸引チューブ79を液体から引き上げ、吸引チューブ79を液体と非接触状態に保つ。
(ステップ9)
 コンピュータ90は、第3弁333を開き、ポンプ461を駆動して大気を吸引し、第2輸送路412と吸引チューブ79に残留する液体を容器20に戻す。
(ステップ10)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第3弁333を閉じ、ポンプ461を停止する。
(ステップ11)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁432を閉じる。
(ステップ12)
 コンピュータ90は、第1弁431を開き、第1弁431の上流側に残留する液体、例えば、分岐部441から第1弁431の間に残留する液体を計量室451に吸引する。
(ステップ13)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間経過後、第1弁431を閉じる。
(ステップ14)
 コンピュータ90は、第2弁432を開く。これにより、計量室451の液体が処理室421に供給される。
(ステップ15)
 コンピュータ90は、所定時間後、第2弁432を閉じる。この時間は、気化室452等に残留する液体やガスが完全に処理室421内に吸引されるために必要な時間に設定される。
 このように、実施形態4の計量ユニット401によれば、一時貯留室454と第2輸送路412に残留する液体がすべて容器に戻される。

Claims (9)

  1. 液体を収容した容器(20)が載せられる基台(16)と、
    尖塔部(59)を有する中空の針(58)と、
    前記針(58)を、前記尖塔部(59)が前記容器(20)から離間した第1針位置と前記尖塔部(59)が前記容器(20)の壁(24)を貫通している第2針位置との間で移動させる第1移動機構(50)と、
    前記針(58)の内腔の内径よりも小さな外径を有する中空の管(79)と、
    前記管(79)を、前記容器から離間した第1管位置と前記第2針位置にある前記針(58)の内腔を貫通して前記容器の内部に侵入した第2管位置との間で移動させる第2移動機構(70)を有する、液体供給システム。
  2.  前記基台(16)に載せられた前記容器(20)を収容する部屋(40)を形成するハウジング(10)と、
     前記ハウジング(10)に形成されており、前記部屋(40)に前記容器(20)を収容し又前記部屋(40)から前記容器(20)を取り出すための開口(12)と、
     前記開口(12)を開く開位置と前記開口(12)を閉じる閉位置との間を移動可能に支持された扉(13)と、
     前記第1移動機構(50)に連動して、前記尖塔部(59)が前記第1針位置にあるとき、前記扉(13)を該扉(13)が前記開位置と前記閉位置との間を移動できるようにアンロックし、前記針(58)が前記第2針位置にあるとき、前記扉(13)を前記閉位置にロックするロック機構(60)を有する、請求項1の液体供給システム。
  3.  前記基台(16)に載せられた前記容器(20)を上下方向に貫通する軸(39)を有し、
     前記第1移動機構(50)は、前記針(58)を前記軸(39)に沿って移動させるように構成されており、
     前記第2移動機構(70)は、前記管(79)を前記軸(39)に沿って移動させるように構成されている、請求項1又は2の液体供給システム。
  4.  前記第1機構(50)は、
     前記基台(16)に固定された固定部(51)と、
     前記固定部(51)に固定された駆動部(52)と、
     前記駆動部(52)と前記針(58)を連結し、前記駆動部(52)の駆動に基づいて前記針(58)を前記第1針位置と前記第2針位置との間で移動させる可動部(55)を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれかの液体供給システム。
  5.  前記駆動部(52)は、モータと、前記モータに連結されたボールねじ(53)を有し、前記ボールねじ(53)が前記可動部(55)に連結されている、ことを特徴とする請求項4の液体供給システム。
  6.  前記第2移動機構(70)は、
     前記基台(16)に固定された固定部(71)と、
     前記固定部に固定された駆動部(72)と、
     前記駆動部(72)と前記管(79)を連結し、前記駆動部(72)の駆動に基づいて前記管(79)を前記第1管位置と前記第2管位置との間で移動させる可動部(75)を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1~5のいずれかの液体供給システム。
  7.  前記駆動部(72)は、モータと、前記モータに連結されたボールねじ(73)を有し、前記ボールねじ(73)が前記可動部(75)に連結されている、ことを特徴とする請求項6の液体供給システム。
  8.  前記ロック機構(60)は、
     前記扉(13)に設けられた被係合部(65)と、
     前記第1移動機構(50)の可動部(75)に設けられた係合部(64)を有し、
     前記被係合部(65)と前記係合部(64)は、前記針(58)が前記第1針位置にあるときは係合せず、前記針(58)が前記第2針位置にあるときは係合しているように構成されている、請求項1~7のいずれかの液体供給システム。
  9.  容器(20)は、
    容器本体(21)と、
     前記容器本体(21)に着脱自在に装着された蓋(23)を有し、
     前記針(58)が、前記第1針位置から前記第2針位置に移動する最中に、前記蓋(23)を突き破って貫通するように構成されている、請求項1~8のいずれかの液体供給装置。
