  • Mixing unit associated mixing valve, and method of manufacturing such a mixer tap
  • the present invention relates to a mixing unit, a mixing valve comprising such a mixing unit and method of manufacturing such a mixing valve.
  • the invention relates to the field of sanitary taps.
  • so-called "mixer” faucets make it possible to emit a mixed flow of running water by mixing a flow of hot water and a flow of cold water within a cartridge mounted in the body of the tap.
  • the respective flow rate of the cold water and hot water flows admitted into the cartridge can be adjusted by means of a control lever, in order to allow adjustment of the temperature of the mixed flow by rotation of the lever around an axis, and the flow rate of the mixed flow by lever rotation about a second axis.
  • the cartridge comprises in most cases a pair of perforated ceramic discs, one being fixed, and the other being movable under the action of the lever while being in flat contact, sliding and sealed with the fixed disc.
  • channels are formed to allow the admission of cold and hot water flows within the cartridge, with a greater or lesser flow, and thus cause their mixing to the formation of mixed flow.
  • Some known cartridges may be provided with a separate additional box, which is attached against the cartridge.
  • patent FR-B1-2,876,433 describes a cartridge for a mixing valve equipped with an additional thermostatic module coupled sealingly to the base of the cartridge.
  • the additional thermostatic module is provided with thermostatic means allowing, when the temperature of the mixed flow exceeds a predetermined threshold value, to close the passage of hot water before entering the cartridge, to automatically limit the flow temperature.

Abstract

Description

- la cartouche présente une forme générale cylindrique, définissant un axe de cartouche et se terminant par la base d'accouplement qui est traversée par l'axe de cartouche, les moyens d'attache étant conçus pour que le débattement du boîtier additionnel s'effectue selon une direction de débattement sensiblement parallèle à l'axe de cartouche ;
- la base d'accouplement comprend des moyens de positionnement du boîtier additionnel en rotation par rapport à la cartouche autour de l'axe de cartouche, les moyens de positionnement autorisant une translation du boîtier additionnel par rapport à la cartouche, le long de l'axe de cartouche ;
- les moyens de positionnement comprennent un parapet faisant saillie de la base d'accouplement parallèlement à l'axe de cartouche, le boîtier additionnel comprenant, à sa périphérie, une portion en creux de réception du parapet ;
- les moyens d'attache comprennent au moins une griffe de rétention, solidaire de la base d'accouplement, et au moins un ergot, faisant saillie du boîtier additionnel, l'ergot étant conçu pour être retenu entre la griffe et la base d'accouplement en configuration d'attache, la griffe étant positionnée de manière à autoriser un débattement du boîtier additionnel entre deux positions extrémales le long de l'axe de cartouche définissant le débattement ;
- les moyens d'attache comprennent d'une part au moins une patte, faisant saillie du boîtier additionnel, et d'autre part un crochet, disposé sur la base d'accouplement, et conçu pour recevoir la patte en configuration d'attache, de manière à maintenir cette patte en son sein tout en autorisant un débattement de la patte dans le crochet entre deux positions extrémales définissant le débattement ;
- l'unité de mélange comprend au moins un joint d'étanchéité de l'accouplement entre le boîtier additionnel et la base d'accouplement, la mise en position d'accouplement du boîtier additionnel provoquant un écrasement du joint permettant de garantir l'étanchéité de l'accouplement du boîtier additionnel sur la base d'accouplement ;
