It should be appreciated that typically the goods are moved through an opening at an end of the transportable goods storage area and that typically the opening is relatively narrow and confined, which is especially the case if there is provided a tail lift assembly and/ or door assembly at the opening.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour le déplacement de marchandises entre une plateforme d'un appareil de levage et un ou plusieurs étages d'une zone de stockage de marchandises mobile telle qu'une remorque de véhicule. Un ensemble de raccordement est typiquement placé à un bord de ladite plateforme en position adjacente à l'ouverture de la zone de stockage de marchandises mobile et l'ensemble de raccordement peut être déplacé entre une position de rangement retractée et une position d'utilisation étendue, et une position intermédiaire qui est prévue pour permettre le fonctionnement d'un ensemble porte prévu pour l'ouverture et la fermeture sélectives de ladite ouverture à des fins d'accès à l'intérieur de la zone de stockage de marchandises, ladite position intermédiaire permettant la création d'un espace entre l'ensemble de raccordement et l'ouverture qui est suffisant pour permettre un déplacement de l'ensemble porte entre les positions ouverte et fermée, tout en permettant à un opérateur d'atteindre l'ensemble porte afin d'actionner celui-ci tandis qu'il se tient debout sur l'ensemble de raccordement.
