Abstract

Description
본 발명은 기능성 반사 금속층의 결정화도가 향상된 저방사 유리에 관한 것이다.
저방사(Low-Emissivity, Low-E) 유리(흔히 '로이 유리'라고도 함)는 건축용 및 자동차용 등으로 널리 사용되고 있는 것으로서, 사생활 보호 및 에너지 손실 방지를 위하여 단열 성능과 차폐 성능이 기본적으로 요구된다. 스퍼터링 방식으로 증착된 저방사 유리는 하드 코팅 방식으로 제작된 저방사 유리에 비해 더 우수한 단열 성능과 차폐 성능을 가지고 있다.
또한 특정한 경우에 있어서 저방사 유리는 굽힘(bending) 또는 강화(tempering) 타입의 구부리거나 예비 응력을 가하는 처리(흔히 열처리)를 거칠 필요가 있다. 이러한 목적으로 통상 창유리는 구부리거나 예비 응력을 가하는 실질적인 처리 전에 약 600~700℃의 온도로 가열되는데, 이러한 열처리 후에도 단열 성능과 차폐 성능을 우수 하게 유지할 것이 요구된다.
따라서, 열처리 가능한 저방사 유리이면서 기존의 저방사 유리에 비하여 개선된 단열성능과 차폐성능을 나타내어 건축용 및/또는 자동차용 창유리로 실용화하기에 적합한 저방사 유리의 개발이 요구되고 있다.
본 발명의 목적은 열처리 전과 후의 물성차이가 적은 고차폐 및 금속층의 결정화도가 향상된 저방사 유리를 제공하는 것이다.
상기의 과제를 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은 유리 기판, 상기 유리 기판 상에 형성된 제1 유전체층, 상기 제1 유전체층 상에 형성된 금속층, 상기 금속층 상에 형성된 제2 유전체층, 및 상기 제2 유전체층 상에 형성된 최상부층을 포함하고, 상기 제1 유전체층은, AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 저방사 유리를 제공한다.

상기 서브 유전체층(20b)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함할 수 있으며, 여기서 x는 0.5<x<2이고, x가 상기 수치 범위를 벗어나면 질소(N2)과잉으로 인한 증착률 저하가 발생할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구체예에 따르면, XRD 분석결과, 서브 유전체층(AlNx층)(20b) 및 금속층(30)(예컨대, Ag층)의 피크(peak)가 나타나며, 이는 서브 유전체층(20b) 및 금속층(30)이 결정성을 지녔음을 의미한다. 이러한 결정성은 서브 유전체층(20b) 위에 금속층(30) 증착시, 금속층(30)의 결정화가 잘 이루어질 수 있도록 유도하여 코팅막의 면저항을 감소시켜 단열 성능을 향상시키며, 형성된 금속층(30)이 안정화될 수 있도록 도움으로써 열처리시 금속층(30)이 뭉치거나 상기 금속층(30)의 상부 및 하부에 구비된 유전체층으로 확산되는 등의 광학적 결함이 발생하는 것을 억제한다.
따라서, 본 발명의 저방사 유리를 적층할 때, 금속층(30) 증착 전에 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 제1 유전체층(20)을 증착하는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 메인 유전체층(20a) 및 상기 서브 유전체층(20b) 중 적어도 하나는 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 메인 유전체층(20a)의 두께는 30 내지 50 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 메인 유전체층(20a)의 두께가 30 nm 미만이면 내구성이 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있고, 50 nm를 초과하면 투과율이 감소될 수 있다.
상기 서브 유전체층(20b)의 두께는 상기 메인 유전체층(20a)의 두께보다 얇은 것이 바람직하며, 예를 들면 5 내지 20 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 서브 유전체층(20b)의 두께가 5 nm 미만이면 내구성이 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있고, 20 nm를 초과하면 투과율이 감소될 수 있다.
상기 금속층(30)은 태양 복사선을 선택적으로 반사시켜 높은 차폐성능을 제공함과 동시에 저방사를 구현하는 역할을 한다. 상기 금속층(30)으로는 전도성이 우수한 금속이 사용될 수 있으며, Ag, Cu, Au, Al 및 Pt로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 1종 이상이 사용될 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구체예에 따르면, 상기 금속층(30)으로 사용되는 금속은 Ag일 수 있다.
상기 금속층(30)의 두께는 5 내지 25 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 금속층(30)의 두께가 5 ㎚ 미만이면 금속층(30)의 형성이 정상적으로 이루어지지 않아 저방사 성능이 충분히 향상되지 못하게 될 수 있고, 25 ㎚를 초과하면 투과율이 저하되고 반사율이 높아져서 개방감이 저하될 수 있다.
상기 제2 유전체층(21)은 강화, 굽힘 등의 열처리 시에 금속층(30)으로 전달되는 산소 또는 이온을 차단하는 역할을 하는 것으로서, 도 1의 (a) 내지 (c)에 도시된 바와 같이 금속층(30)과 최상부층(50) 사이에 형성될 수 있다.
또한, 상기 제2 유전체층(21)은, 메인 유전체층(21a)을 포함하고, 선택적으로 상기 메인 유전체층(21a)의 상부 또는 하부에 적어도 하나의 서브 유전체층(21b)이 형성될 수 있다.
상기 메인 유전체층(21a)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2), 또는 Al, B, Ti, Nb, Sn 및 Mo으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 원소가 함유된 Si계 산화물, 질화물 또는 질산화물을 사용할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구현예에 따르면, 상기 메인 유전체층(21a)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2), 또는 SiAlNx(여기서 1.3<x<1.5)를 사용할 수 있으며, x가 상기 수치 범위를 벗어나면 질소(N2)과잉으로 인한 증착률 저하가 발생할 수 있다.
상기 서브 유전체층(21b)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2), 또는 Al, B, Ti, Nb, Sn 및 Mo으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 원소가 함유된 Si계 산화물, 질화물 또는 질산화물을 포함할 수 있으며, x가 상기 수치 범위를 벗어나면 질소(N2)과잉으로 인한 증착률 저하가 발생할 수 있다.
상기 메인 유전체층(21a)의 두께는 35 내지 70 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 메인 유전체층(21a)의 두께가 35 nm 미만이면 내구성이 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있고, 70 nm를 초과하면 투과율이 감소될 수 있다.
상기 서브 유전체층(21b)의 두께는 상기 메인 유전체층(20a)의 두께보다 얇은 것이 바람직하며, 예를 들면 5 내지 20 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 서브 유전체층(21b)의 두께가 5 nm 미만이면 내구성이 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있고, 20 nm를 초과하면 투과율이 감소될 수 있다.
상기 최상부층(50)은 본 발명에 따른 저방사 유리의 표면을 보호하는 역할을 하며, 기계적 강도가 높고 표면 거칠기가 적으며 투과율이 높은 재료가 사용될 수 있다. 상기 최상부층(50)은 예컨대, Si, Nb, Ti, Zr, Ta 또는 그 합금의 산화물 또는 질화물 또는 질산화물이 사용될 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구체예에 따르면, 최상부층(50)으로 Ti-함유 산화물 또는 질산화물(예컨대, TiOzNy)이 사용될 수 있으며, 여기서 z : y는, z 와 y의 합 100 몰%를 기준으로, 100 몰% : 0 몰% 내지 75 몰% : 25 몰%일 수 있다.
상기 최상부층(50)의 두께는 바람직하게 2 내지 10 ㎚일 수 있다. 만약 최상부층(50)의 두께가 2 nm 미만이면 내구성이 저하될 우려가 있고, 10 nm를 초과하면 투과율이 저하되거나 흐림을 발생시키는 원인이 될 수 있다.
도 2를 참조하면, 본 발명의 저방사 유리는 상기 제1 유전체층(20)과 상기 금속층(30) 사이 또는 상기 제2 유전체층(21)과 상기 금속층(30) 사이에, 적어도 하나의 흡수층(40)이 더 포함될 수 있다.
상기 흡수층(40)은 금속층(30)에 접한 층으로서, 금속층(30)과 제1 유전체층(20) 또는 금속층(30)과 제2 유전체층(21) 사이의 접착력을 향상시키는 기능을 하고, 강화, 굽힘 등의 열처리 시 유리에서 확산되는 Na+ 및 공기 중의 O2의 이동을 방해하는 역할 및 금속층(30)이 높은 열처리 온도에서도 안정적인 거동이 가능하도록 금속의 융착을 돕는 역할을 하며, 최종적으로 금속층(30)으로 침투하는 O2를 흡수하여 저방사 성능을 유지하도록 돕는 역할을 한다.
상기 흡수층(40)으로는 Ni, Cr 및 Ni-Cr 합금으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 적어도 하나가 사용될 수 있으며, Ni-Cr 합금이 사용되는 경우, 그 합금 조성은, 예컨대, Ni이 75 내지 85 wt%, Cr이 15 내지 25 wt%일 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구현예에 따른 흡수층(40)으로 Ni-Cr 합금이 사용될 수 있다.
상기 흡수층(40)의 두께는 0.1 내지 10 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 흡수층(40)의 두께가 0.1 ㎚ 미만이면 내구성이 저하될 우려가 있고 열처리 및 굽힘 공정 후에 코팅막의 흐림이 증가하는 문제가 있을 수 있으며, 10 ㎚를 초과하면 투과율이 낮아지거나 열처리 및 굽힘 공정 후에 코팅막의 흐림 역시 증가하는 문제가 있을 수가 있다.
도 3은 본 발명의 다중(예컨대, 이중 또는 삼중) 저방사 유리의 적층 구조를 나타낸 도면이다.
도 3을 참고하면, 본 발명의 저방사 유리는 상기 도 1의 적층 구조에서 금속층(30)과 제2 유전체층(21) 사이에, 유전체층(22), 금속층(31) 및 흡수층(41)이 순차적으로 포함된 다층 구조를 적어도 하나 포함할 수 있고, 도 1과 같은 단일 적층 구조에서 상기와 같은 다층 구조가 1개 더 포함된 경우를 이중 저방사 유리, 2개 더 포함된 경우를 삼중 저방사 유리라고 한다.
상기 유전체층(22)은 상기 제1 유전체층(20) 및 제2 유전체층(21)과 같이 강화, 굽힘 등의 열처리 시에 금속층(31)으로 전달되는 산소 또는 이온을 차단하는 역할을 하는 것으로서, AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 하부 서브 유전체층(22b), 메인 유전체층(22a), AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 상부 서브 유전체층(22b)을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 메인 유전체층(22a)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2), 또는 Al, B, Ti, Nb, Sn 및 Mo으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 원소가 함유된 Si계 산화물, 질화물 또는 질산화물을 사용할 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구현예에 따르면, 상기 메인 유전체층(22a)은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2), 또는 SiAlNx(여기서 1.3<x<1.5)를 사용할 수 있으며, x가 상기 수치 범위를 벗어나면 질소(N2)과잉으로 인한 증착률 저하가 발생할 수 있다.
상기 금속층(31)은 태양 복사선을 선택적으로 반사시켜 높은 차폐성능을 제공함과 동시에 저방사를 구현하는 역할을 한다. 상기 금속층(31)으로는 전도성이 우수한 금속이 사용될 수 있으며, Ag, Cu, Au, Al 및 Pt로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 1종 이상이 사용될 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구체예에 따르면, 상기 금속층(31)으로 사용되는 금속은 Ag일 수 있다.
상기 금속층(31)의 두께는 5 내지 25 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 금속층(31)의 두께가 5 ㎚ 미만이면 금속층(31)의 형성이 정상적으로 이루어지지 않아 저방사 성능이 충분히 향상되지 못하게 될 수 있고, 25 ㎚를 초과하면 투과율이 저하되고 반사율이 높아져서 개방감이 저하될 수 있다.
상기 흡수층(41)은 금속층(31)에 접한 층으로서, 금속층(31)과 유전체층(22) 또는 금속층(31)과 제2 유전체층(21) 사이의 접착력을 향상시키는 기능을 하고, 강화, 굽힘 등의 열처리 시 유리에서 확산되는 Na+ 및 공기 중의 O2의 이동을 방해하는 역할 및 금속층(31)이 높은 열처리 온도에서도 안정적인 거동이 가능하도록 금속의 융착을 돕는 역할을 하며, 최종적으로 금속층(31)으로 침투하는 O2를 흡수하여 저방사 성능을 유지하도록 돕는 역할을 한다.
상기 흡수층(41)으로는 Ni, Cr 및 Ni-Cr 합금으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 적어도 하나가 사용될 수 있으며, Ni-Cr 합금이 사용되는 경우, 그 합금 조성은, 예컨대, Ni이 75 내지 85 wt%, Cr이 15 내지 25 wt%일 수 있다. 본 발명의 일 구현예에 따른 흡수층(41)으로 Ni-Cr 합금이 사용될 수 있다.
상기 흡수층(41)의 두께는 0.1 내지 10 ㎚일 수 있다. 상기 흡수층(41)의 두께가 0.1 ㎚ 미만이면 내구성이 저하될 우려가 있고 열처리 및 굽힘 공정 후에 코팅막의 흐림이 증가하는 문제가 있을 수 있으며, 10 ㎚를 초과하면 투과율이 낮아지거나 열처리 및 굽힘 공정 후에 코팅막의 흐림 역시 증가하는 문제가 있을 수가 있다.
구체적으로, 도 4의 (a) 내지 (d)에 이와 같은 다중 저방사 유리의 적층 구조를 도시하였으며, 본 발명의 다중 저방사 유리에서 상기 다층 구조 중 적어도 하나는 도 4의 (a), (c) 및 (d)에 도시된 바와 같이 상부 서브 유전체층(22b)과 상기 금속층(31) 사이에, 적어도 하나의 흡수층(41)을 더 포함할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명을 실시예에 의하여 상세히 설명한다.
단, 하기 실시예는 본 발명을 구체적으로 예시하는 것이며, 본 발명의 내용이 하기 실시예에 의해 한정되지 아니한다.
[실시예 및 비교예]
[실시예 1]
마그네트론(Magnetron) 스퍼터 코팅기를 사용하여, 5 mm 투명유리 기판 상에 제1 유전체층(AlNx, 0.5<x<2)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 32 ㎚로 코팅하였고, 이어서 금속층(Ag)을 아르곤 100% 분위기 하에서 두께 10 ㎚로 코팅한 후, 다시 흡수층(Ni-Cr합금)을 아르곤 분위기 하에서 두께 2 ㎚로 코팅하였다. 이어서 제2 유전체층(SiAlNx, 1.3<x<1.5)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 38 ㎚로 코팅하였다. 마지막으로 최상부층(TiOzNy, z:y=80몰%:20몰%)을 질소/아르곤 분위기(질소 비율: 45~60 부피%) 하에서 두께 5 ㎚로 코팅하는 과정을 거쳐 저방사 유리를 제조하였다.
[실시예 2]
마그네트론(Magnetron) 스퍼터 코팅기를 사용하여, 5 mm 투명유리 기판 상에 메인 유전체층(SiAlNx, 1.3<x<1.5)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 32 ㎚로 코팅하였고, 이어서 서브 유전체층(AlNx, 0.5<x<2)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 6 ㎚로 코팅하였고, 이어서 흡수층(Ni-Cr합금)을 아르곤 분위기 하에서 두께 2 ㎚로 코팅하였고, 이어서 금속층(Ag)을 아르곤 100% 분위기 하에서 두께 10 ㎚로 코팅한 후, 다시 흡수층(Ni-Cr합금)을 아르곤 분위기 하에서 두께 2 ㎚로 코팅하였다. 이어서 제2 유전체층(SiAlNx, 1.3<x<1.5)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 38 ㎚로 코팅하였다. 마지막으로 최상부층(TiOzNy, z:y=80몰%:20몰%)을 질소/아르곤 분위기(질소 비율: 45~60 부피%) 하에서 두께 5 ㎚로 코팅하는 과정을 거쳐 저방사 유리를 제조하였다.
[비교예 1]
실시예 1에 있어서, 제1 유전체층(AlNx, 0.5<x<2) 대신, 제1 유전체층(SiAlNx, 1.3<x<1.5)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 32 ㎚로 코팅하는 것을 제외하고는, 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로 저방사 유리를 제조하였다.
[비교예 2]
실시예 2에 있어서, 서브 유전체층(AlNx, 0.5<x<2)을 질소/아르곤(질소 비율: 25 부피%) 분위기 하에서 두께 6 ㎚로 코팅하는 과정을 생략하고, 실시예 2와 동일한 방법으로 저방사 유리를 제조하였다.
상기 실시예 1, 2 및 비교예 1, 2의 조성 및 두께를 하기 표 1 및 2에 나타내었다.

[실험예]
실시예 1, 2 및 비교예 1, 2에서 얻어진 저방사 유리 코팅면의 투과율, 반사율을 측정하였고, 표면 저항을 비접촉식 면저항 측정기를 사용하여 측정한 결과를 하기 표 3에 나타내었다.
1. 투과율, 반사율: 380~780 ㎚의 파장 범위에서 D65 표준 광원 10도 KS L 2514규격에 따라 측정하였다.
2. 표면 저항
1) 공시체
제품의 좌, 중, 우에 해당하는 부분의 크기 100Х100 mm인 시편을 공시체로 한다.
2) 시험 방법
① 비접촉 면저항 측정기를 작동 시킨 뒤, Mode Display 버튼을 눌러 단위를 "Ohm"으로 설정한다.
② Range 버튼을 눌러 "High"로 설정한다.
③ Manual 버튼을 눌러 Calibration을 한 뒤 시편의 코팅면이 위로 향하도록 위치 시킨 후 측정한다.

상기 표 3에 따르면, 제1 유전체층 또는 제1 유전체층의 메인 유전체층과 서브 유전체층 중 적어도 하나는 AlNx(0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 실시예 1 및 2의 경우에는, 제1 유전체층(메인 유전체층 또는 서브 유전체층)에 AlNx(0.5<x<2)를 포함하지 않는 비교예 1 및 2와 대비하여, 투과율과 반사율을 높이고, 면저항을 낮추어 단열 성능이 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
특히, 금속층의 하부에 서브 유전체층(AlNx(0.5<x<2))을 포함하는 경우에는, 금속층(Ag)의 결정화도를 높일 수 있어서, 면저항을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 열처리 시에 금속층(Ag)이 뭉치거나, 유전체층으로 확산되는 등의 광학적 결함을 방지하여 안정화시킬 수 있다.
Claims (12)
- 유리 기판,상기 유리 기판 상에 형성된 제1 유전체층,상기 제1 유전체층 상에 형성된 금속층,상기 금속층 상에 형성된 제2 유전체층, 및상기 제2 유전체층 상에 형성된 최상부층을 포함하고,상기 제1 유전체층은, AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 제1 유전체층은, 메인 유전체층을 포함하고, 선택적으로 상기 메인 유전체층의 상부 또는 하부에 적어도 하나의 서브 유전체층을 더 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 2에 있어서,상기 메인 유전체층 및 상기 서브 유전체층 중 적어도 하나는 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2)를 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 서브 유전체층의 두께는 상기 메인 유전체층의 두께보다 얇은 층인 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 서브 유전체층은 두께가 5 내지 20 ㎚인 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 제1 유전체층과 상기 금속층 사이 또는 상기 제2 유전체층과 상기 금속층 사이에, 적어도 하나의 흡수층을 더 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 6에 있어서,상기 금속층과 상기 제2 유전체층 사이에,유전체층, 금속층 및 흡수층이 순차적으로 포함된 다층 구조를 적어도 하나 포함하는 저방사 유리.

- 청구항 8에 있어서,상기 다층 구조는, 상기 다층 구조에 포함되는 상기 금속층과 상기 상부 서브 유전체층 사이에, 적어도 하나의 흡수층을 더 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 2 또는 청구항 8에 있어서,상기 메인 유전체층은 AlNx(여기서, 0.5<x<2); 또는 Al, B, Ti, Nb, Sn 및 Mo으로부터 선택된 하나 이상의 원소가 함유된 Si계 산화물, 질화물, 및 질산화물로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 적어도 하나;를 포함하는 저방사 유리.
- 청구항 1에 있어서,상기 금속층은 Ag, Cu, Au, Al 및 Pt로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 1종 이상인 것인 저방사 유리.
