Definitions
- the present invention relates to a belt retractor for a motor vehicle.
- Belt retractors are part of the safety system of motor vehicles.
- the belt retractor is configured to lock the belt in a short time if necessary to securely restrain the occupants.
- belt retractors have a belt force limiter in order not to let the forces increase too much after tightening the belt in the forward displacement phase of the occupant.
- the belt force limiters are designed in the form of a torsion bar.
- the torsion bar reduces the force acting on the occupants by twisting them, thereby reducing energy and defining a forward displacement of the occupants. Different levels of force are achieved by different Torsionsstab butmesser.
- the torsion bar is integrated in the retractor shaft and mounted laterally. If necessary, the torsion bar is held on one side and initiated a rotation of the torsion bar.
- a belt retractor for a motor vehicle comprising a belt spool which is rotatably mounted about a spool axis, wherein the belt spool an inner shaft and an outer ring which is coupled in the circumferential direction with the inner shaft having. Between the Inner shaft and the outer ring is arranged at least one deformation element which is in toothed engagement with the inner shaft and / or the outer ring and which is arranged eccentrically to the coil axis.
- the outer ring is held, the inner shaft, however, can continue to rotate.
- the deformation element arranged therebetween is deformed and can thereby reduce the force occurring. In this way, a reliable belt force limiting mechanism can be provided.
- the deformation elements can theoretically be circulated infinitely often, in particular cyclically alternately deformed.
- the deformation elements always move on the same path.
- the outer ring may be formed as a toothed disc, in particular with an axial and / or radial toothing.
- the inner shaft is for example part of a bobbin, in particular a wave extension of a bobbin.
- the outer ring may be an integral part of the belt reel or flanged axially to the belt reel. However, a relative rotation between the outer ring and the inner shaft must be possible.
- the outer ring may be a separate component which is coupled via the deformation element with the inner shaft.
- the deformation element can be arranged in the radial direction and / or in the axial direction between the inner shaft and the outer ring. In this way, the belt retractor can be particularly compact and adapted to a given space situation.
- inner shaft and outer ring are not necessarily to be understood that the inner shaft is disposed within the outer ring.
- Inner shaft and outer ring may also have an approximately equal diameter and / or the inner shaft may be disposed outside of the outer ring to adapt the belt retractor to a given space situation.
- the inner shaft and the outer ring in the axial direction and / or in the radial direction are spaced apart.
- the inner shaft can be formed in an advantageous manner by the belt reel itself by a frontal toothing is formed on this.
- the deformation element preferably has an outer toothing.
- the external toothing is formed in this case as a radial toothing.
- the inner shaft may have an outer toothing and the outer ring an inner toothing.
- the inner shaft and the outer ring are coupled together by the deformation element when the deformation element with the outer toothing of the inner shaft and the inner toothing of the outer ring is engaged. Consequently, a rotation of the outer ring can also cause a rotation of the inner shaft, for example, to wind a belt.
- the outer ring may have an outer toothing.
- On the external teeth can engage a pawl of a locking mechanism.
- a drive element which can set the outer ring in rotation can engage the outer toothing.
- the inner shaft may have an inner toothing and the outer ring an outer toothing.
- both the inner shaft and the outer ring have an outer toothing and an inner toothing.
- inner shaft and outer ring can be coupled in different ways depending on space requirements.
- the coupling takes place in any case via the deformation element.
- the external toothing and / or the internal toothing of the inner shaft or of the outer ring can be a radial toothing and / or an axial toothing.
- the deformation elements are arranged for example between the inner shaft and the outer ring as the planetary gears of a planetary gear between sun and ring gear.
- the deformation element preferably has a base body which is kidney-shaped. By this shape, the deformation element can be adapted to the geometry of the outer ring and the inner shaft. In particular, a curvature of the base body is selected so that the deformation element is arranged concentrically to the outer ring and the inner shaft. A width of the base body corresponds for example to a radial distance between the inner shaft and the outer ring.
- the deformation element is preferably a self-contained element, that is, it has no interruption along its circumference. In particular, the deformation element is in one piece. Under normal operating conditions, the deformation element is a rigid element.
- the deformation element may comprise an annular base body which is folded along a center line. In this way, a substantially semicircular deformation element results.
- the deformation element can be produced in this case a sheet metal stamping and thus particularly simple and inexpensive.
- the deformation element may be a cold-formed metal part.
- the external toothing of the deformation element can be arranged along the circumference of the base body. If the outer ring is blocked, the deformation element can be deformed upon rotation of the inner shaft. In particular, the deformation element is moved by the inner shaft, wherein the deformation element moves eccentrically to the coil axis. As a result, an applied force is reduced and a rotation between the outer ring and the inner shaft is allowed. Alternatively, the inner shaft can be blocked and the outer ring cause a deformation of the deformation element during rotation.
- Deformationselements be arranged on a front side of the base body. As a result, a reliable coupling of the outer ring is achieved with the inner shaft, even if the inner shaft and outer ring are axially spaced.
- the deformation element has a recess which has the shape of a bent oblong hole.
- the deformation element can be designed to be flexible overall. An applied force can thereby be continuously reduced if necessary. Due to the shape of a curved elongated hole, the recess is adapted to the kidney shape of the base body, so that a remaining wall of the base body in the circumferential direction has a constant wall thickness.
- the deformation element may have a support element which is arranged in the interior of the recess and which prevents a buckling of the deformation element.
- the support element can completely fill the recess.
- this can also be designed as axial toothing.
- end projections and / or depressions may be arranged on the circumference of the deformation element.
- an insert may be provided, which is arranged in the radial direction between the inner shaft and the outer ring and between the circumferential ends of the deformation element is enclosed.
- the deformation element abuts the insert with its peripheral ends.
- the insert prevents the deformation element from being extended when it is circulated.
- the deformation element if necessary, is compressed by the inserter.
- a force limiting mechanism of the belt retractor can be adapted to a predetermined force level.
- the force limiting mechanism can be adapted to the individual vehicle.
- a wrap angle of the deformation element and the number of deformation elements can also influence the force level.
- a transmission ratio between the inner shaft and the outer ring can be adjusted via the geometry of the deformation elements.
- the at least one deformation element may consist of a metal.
- the deformation element has sufficient stability, but at the same time is deformable enough to allow a reduction in force.
- the material of the deformation element can also be selected according to a predetermined force level.
- the belt retractor on at least two, more preferably three deformation elements, which are preferably arranged symmetrically.
- the force curve during the force reduction can alternatively or additionally be influenced by the fact that the belt retractor has at least two deformation elements which differ in their material.
- the belt retractor has at least two deformation elements which differ in their material.
- at least one deformation element made of metal and at least one deformation element made of plastic may be formed.
- the deformation elements may be formed of different plastics or metals. Due to the many possibilities of influence, the system is very flexible and the power level can be adapted to different types of motor vehicles.
