- PTMG polytetramethylene ether glycol
- polytetramethylene ether which is a polytetramethylene ether glycol diester by ring-opening polymerization of tetrahydrofuran with anhydrous acetic acid in the presence of a solid acid catalyst composed of a composite metal oxide such as silica-alumina.
- a method of producing glycol diacetate hereinafter, may be abbreviated as PTME) and then hydrolyzing or transesterifying with a lower alcohol in the presence of an alkaline catalyst is known to produce PTMG (Patent Documents). 1).
