a及びfの値は、0.0001≦a+f≦0.06の条件を満たす。
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000001
Journal of Materials Chemistry A,(英),2014,Vol. 2, p. 11235-11245に記載の方法と同様の手法を用いて、Bi原子とAs原子の化学ポテンシャルμiのとり得る許容範囲を計算した。
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000002
J. Goldsmid, “Introduction to Thermoelectricity”, Springer,

 κ=κe+κlat   式(6)

Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000004
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000005
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000006
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000007
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000008
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-M000009
このようにして、Mg3(Sb,Bi)2を母体とするMg3.05SbxBi1.99-xTe0.01の組成を有する結晶物質を得た。
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-T000010
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-T000011
Mg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-eAseTe0.01の組成を有する結晶物質を得ることができる。
Mg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-eAseTe0.01の330Kにおける熱電変換特性をMg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-ePeTe0.01と同様にして予測した。
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-T000012
この場合、結晶物質は、Mg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-e1-e2Pe1Ase2Te0.01の組成で表されうる。

 Mg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-e1-e2Pe1Ase2Te0.01の330Kにおける熱電変換特性をMg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-ePeTe0.01と同様にして予測した。
Figure JPOXMLDOC01-appb-T000013

 Mg3+mSb1.0Bi0.75-fAs0.25Tefの330Kにおける熱電変換特性をMg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-ePeTe0.01と同様にして予測した。

このようにして、Mg3(Sb,Bi)2を母体とする、Mg3+mSb1.0Bi0.75-fAs0.25Sefの組成を有する結晶物質を得ることができる。
この欠陥は、上述のMg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-eAseTe0.01の組成を有する結晶物質及びMg3+mSb1.0Bi0.75-fAs0.25Tefの組成を有する結晶物質と同様のパターンの欠陥である。
 Mg3+mSb1.0Bi0.75-fAs0.25Sefの330Kにおける熱電変換特性をMg3+mSbxBi1.99-x-ePeTe0.01と同様にして予測した。

この場合、結晶物質は、Mg3+mSb1.0Bi0.75-f1-f2As0.25Tef1Sef2の組成を有する。

このようにして、Mg3(Sb,Bi)2を母体とする、Mg3+m-aYaSb1.0Bi0.75As0.25の組成を有する結晶物質を得ることができる。
