Abstract

電動モータと、ナット(第1ネジ部材)と、該ナットに進退可能に螺合挿通するネジ軸(第2ネジ部材)を備え、ネジ軸の各ネジ山は、2つのフランクとこれらのフランク同士を繋ぐ頂部によってそれぞれ構成され、潤滑剤としてグリースを用いる電動アクチュエータにおいて、ネジ軸の各ネジ山に、頂部から底部側に向かって切り欠かれた溝部をそれぞれ形成するとともに、各溝部のフランク側の周縁の少なくとも一部に、該溝部から周方向に離れるにしたがって広がるテーパ面をそれぞれ形成することにより、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部の潤滑を促進して運動変換効率の向上と螺合部の摩耗を抑制することができる。

Description

電動アクチュエータ
 本発明は、電動モータによる第1ネジ部材の回転を、該第1ネジ部材に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材の直線運動に変換する運動変換機構を備える電動アクチュエータに関する。
 電動アクチュエータは、電動モータと、該電動モータの回転をネジ部材の直線運動に変換する運動変換機構を備えている。ここで、運動変換機構は、電動モータによって回転駆動される第1ネジ部材(ナット)と、該第1ネジ部材に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材(ネジ軸)とを備えており、電動モータ(第1ネジ部材)の回転を第2ネジ部材の直線運動に変換するものである。このような電動アクチュエータは、例えば、車両の電動制動装置に用いられている(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
 ところで、電動アクチュエータの運動変換機構においては、回転する第1ネジ部材に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材が第1ネジ部材に対して直線運動するため、該第2ネジ部材と第1ネジ部材との螺合部に摺動摩擦が発生し、この摺動摩擦のために運動変換効率が低下するとともに、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部に摩耗が発生するという問題がある。
 そこで、特許文献2には、送りねじ(第2ネジ部材)のねじ山面(フランク)に、蛇行した螺旋状の細い油溝を形成する構成が提案されている。また、この特許文献2には、送りネジ(第2ネジ部材)の外周部に、軸心に平行で深さがねじの谷底面よりも深い1つの直線状の油溝を形成する構成が提案されている。
 特許文献3には、第一ネジ部(第1ネジ部材)と第二ネジ部(第2ネジ部材)の各ネジ山の2つのフランクのうちの一方に、円弧状に湾曲する溝部を周方向に複数形成する提案がなされている。ここで、各溝部には、ネジ山の底部から頂部に向かって延びる第一面と、この第一面の底部からネジ山の底部に向かって延びる第二面がそれぞれ形成されており、第一面のフランクに対する傾斜角は、第二面のフランクに対する傾斜角よりも小さく設定されている。
 特許文献4には、回転ネジ部材(第1ネジ部材)と直動ネジ部材(第2ネジ部材)の各ネジ山の第一フランク(力を伝達するフランク)と第二フランク(第一フランクに対して軸方向反対側に位置するフランク)のうち、第一フランクのみに、潤滑油が入るための凹部をローレット加工によって格子状に形成する提案がなされている。

 しかしながら、特許文献2において提案された螺旋状の油溝、特許文献3において提案された円弧状の溝部、特許文献4において提案された格子状の凹部をネジ山のフランクに形成することは容易ではなく、加工に多大な工数と時間及びコストを要するという問題がある。
 また、特許文献2において提案された直線状の油溝の加工は容易ではあるが、この油溝は、送りネジ(第2ネジ部材)の外周部に1つのみ形成されているため、潤滑効果が低いという問題がある。そして、この油溝は、その深さがねじの谷底面よりも深いため、送りネジに局部的な強度不足が生じるという問題もある。
 本発明は、上記問題に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的は、グリースを保持するための溝部を加工性良く簡単に形成することによって、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部の潤滑を促進して運動変換効率の向上と螺合部の摩耗を抑制することができる電動アクチュエータを提供することにある。
 上記目的を達成するため、本発明は、電動モータと、該電動モータによって回転駆動される第1ネジ部材と、該第1ネジ部材に直線移動可能に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材を備え、これらの第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の各ネジ山は、2つのフランクとこれらのフランク同士を繋ぐ頂部によってそれぞれ構成され、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材との螺合部をグリースによって潤滑する電動アクチュエータにおいて、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方のネジ山に、前記頂部から底部側に向かって切り欠かれた溝部をそれぞれ形成するとともに、前記溝部のフランク側の周縁の少なくとも一部に、該溝部から周方向に離れるにしたがって広がるテーパ面をそれぞれ形成したことを第1の特徴とする。
 また本発明は、前記第1の特徴に加えて、複数の前記溝部は、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方の軸方向に沿う同一直線上に配置されていることを第2の特徴とする。
 また本発明は、前記第1または第2の特徴に加えて、前記溝部は、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方のネジ山の周方向に複数形成されていることを第3の特徴とする。
 また本発明は、前記第1~第3の何れかの特徴に加えて、前記溝部は、前記ネジ山の高さ方向において前記頂部から前記底部までの範囲の深さでそれぞれ形成されていることを第4の特徴とする。
 また本発明は、前記第1~第4の何れかの特徴に加えて、前記第1ネジ部材の軸方向一端内周に、前記第2ネジ部材の最大径よりも大きな外径を有して該第2ネジ部材との間に前記グリースを収容可能なグリース保持部を形成し、前記グリース保持部の軸方向開口端を覆う蓋部材を設けたことを第5の特徴とする。
 また本発明は、前記第5の特徴に加えて、前記蓋部材は、蓋部と前記第1ネジ部材と同軸の筒部とを一体に備え、前記蓋部の内周に円筒状のスクレーパ部を形成し、該スクレーパ部の内径を前記第2ネジ部材の外径よりも若干大きく設定して該スクレーパ部と前記第2ネジ部材との間に径方向の微小隙間を形成したことを第6の特徴とする。
 本発明の第1の特徴によれば、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方の各ネジ山の一部を頂部から底部側に向かって切り欠くことによって溝部をそれぞれ形成したため、グリースを保持するための溝部を加工性良く容易に形成することができ、加工工数の削減と加工時間の短縮によって当該電動アクチュエータのコストダウンを図ることができる。
 また、各溝部にそれぞれ保持されたグリースが第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部に供給されて該螺合部が潤滑されるため、螺合部の摩擦が抑制されて運動変換効率が高められるとともに、螺合部の摩耗が抑えられて第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の耐久性が高められる。特に、本発明では、各溝部のフランク側の周縁の少なくとも一部に、該溝部から周方向に離れるにしたがって広がるテーパ面をそれぞれ形成したため、各溝部に保持されたグリースがテーパ面によるくさび効果によって第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部に引き摺り込まれて効率良く供給され、このグリースが螺合部の効果的な潤滑に供せられる。
 また本発明の第2の特徴によれば、複数の溝部が第1ネジ軸と第2ネジ軸の少なくとも一方の軸方向に沿う同一直線上に配置されているため、複数の溝部を加工性良く簡単に形成することができる。
 また本発明の第3の特徴によれば、溝部が第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方の各ネジ山の周方向にそれぞれ複数形成されているため、各ネジ山により多くのグリースを保持することができ、複数の溝部に保持された多くのグリースによって第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部が効果的に潤滑される。また、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部にグリースが周方向に均一に供給されるため、このことによっても螺合部がグリースによって効果的に潤滑される。
 また本発明の第4の特徴によれば、溝部を各ネジ山の高さ方向において頂部から底部までの範囲の深さでそれぞれ形成し、底部を越えてその径方向内側へと溝部を形成しないため、溝部の加工性が高められるとともに、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の局部的な強度低下が抑えられる。因みに、ネジ山を切削加工によって形成する場合、溝部をネジ山の底部よりも深くすると、溝部にバリが入り込み、このバリを取り除くことが容易ではない。
 また本発明の第5の特徴によれば、第1ネジ部材の回転によって第2ネジ部材が第1ネジ部材内に侵入しても、該第2ネジ部材に塗布されたグリースが第1ネジ部材のグリース保持部に保持されるため、第1ネジ部材の端面に余分なグリースが溜まることがなく、溜まったグリースが第1ネジ部材の回転による遠心力によって周囲に飛散することがない。また、第1ネジ部材のグリース保持部に保持されたグリースは、第2ネジ部材が第1ネジ部材から出てくる際に該第2ネジ部材に塗布されるが、このグリースの塗布量が蓋部材によって規制されるため、必要十分な量のグリースが第2ネジ部材の広範囲に亘って塗布される。この結果、第2ネジ部材の部分的なグリース不足(油膜切れ)が発生することがなく、第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材との螺合部のグリースによる潤滑が十分になされ、高い運動変換効率が得られるとともに、螺合部の摩耗が抑制されて第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の耐久性が高められる。
 また本発明の第6の特徴によれば、蓋部材の蓋部の内周に形成されたスクレーパ部の内径を第2ネジ部材の外径よりも若干大きく設定して両者の間に径方向の微小隙間を形成したため、第1ネジ部材のグリース保持部に貯留されているグリースがスクレーパ部によって掻き取られて第2ネジ部材に所定厚さで均一に塗布される。この場合、スクレーパ部は第2ネジ部材に対して非接触であるため、両者間に摩擦抵抗力が発生せず、第2ネジ部材が抵抗なくスムーズに摺動することができる。また、スクレーパ部が第2ネジ部材から外力を受けることがないため、該スクレーパ部の損傷が防がれて蓋部材の耐久性が高められる。

 以下に本発明の実施の形態を添付図面に基づいて説明する。
 図1は本発明に係る電動アクチュエータの斜視図、図2は同電動アクチュエータの平断面図である。
 本実施の形態に係る電動アクチュエータ1は、不図示の電動パーキングブレーキ装置に備えられるものであって、図2に示すように、駆動源である正逆回転可能な電動モータ2と、該電動モータ2の回転を第2ネジ部材であるネジ軸3の往復直線運動に変換する運動変換機構4と、電動モータ2の回転を運動変換機構4に伝達するための伝動機構(ギヤ機構)5を備えており、これらの電動モータ2と運動変換機構4及び伝動機構5は、アクチュエータケース10内に収容されている。なお、以下の説明においては、図1及び図2に示す矢印方向を「前後」方向とする。
 上記アクチュエータケース10は、円筒状の第1のケース11Aと第2のケース11Bを一体に有するケース本体11と、該ケース本体11の第1のケース11Aの開口端に被着されたモータカバー12と、該モータカバー12とは反対側(図2の右側)からケース本体11の開口端に被着されたギヤカバー13とで構成されている。
 そして、図2に示すように、ケース本体11の第1のケース11Aには電動モータ2が収容されており、該電動モータ2から後方(図2の右方)に向かって延出する出力軸(モータ軸)2aのギヤカバー13内に臨む端部(後端部)には、小径の駆動ギヤ6が取り付けられている。ここで、電動モータ2の軸方向一端(前端)は、モータカバー12に形成された凹部12aに嵌合保持されており、同電動モータ2の軸方向他端(後端)は、第1のケース11Aの端壁11aに形成された円孔11bに嵌合保持されている。なお、電動モータ2の出力軸(モータ軸)2aは、軸受7を介して第1のケース11Aに回転可能に支持されている。
 また、ケース本体11の第2のケース11Bは、第1のケース11Aの側方に一体に配置されており、この第2のケース11Bには運動変換機構4が収容されている。この運動変換機構4は、第1ネジ部材である回転可能なナット8と、該ナット8に直線移動可能に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材である前記ネジ軸3を備えている。
 上記ナット8は、スリーブ部8Aと該スリーブ部8Aよりも大径のドラム部8Bとを一体に有しており、スリーブ部8Aの外周に組み付けられたラジアルベアリング(ボールベアリング)9によって第2のケース11Bに回転可能に支持されている。ここで、スリーブ部8Aの内周には、雌ネジ8aが螺旋状に刻設されている。
 ネジ軸3は、前後方向に長い丸棒状のスライド部材であって、その前端部に形成された円孔3aには、不図示のブレーキケーブルが連結されており、このブレーキケーブルの他端は、不図示の電動パーキングブレーキ装置のパーキングブレーキレバーに連結されている。また、ネジ軸3の後端にはフランジ部3Aが一体に形成されており、このフランジ部3Aの外周は、ギヤカバー13内に収容された筒状のガイド部材14の内周に軸方向に沿って形成された一対のガイド溝14aに係合している。このため、ネジ軸3の回転がガイド部材14によって阻止され、ネジ軸3は、回転することなく前後方向に往復直線運動する。
 そして、ネジ軸3の外周の所定範囲には、雄ネジ3bが螺旋状に刻設されており、ネジ軸3は、ナット8のスリーブ部8Aに螺合挿通している。したがって、ネジ軸3のナット8への挿通部においては、該ネジ軸3の外周に刻設された雄ネジ3bとナット8のスリーブ部8Aの内周に刻設された雌ネジ8aとが互いに螺合している。
 また、ネジ軸3のアクチュエータケース10の外部へと延出する部分は、柔軟で弾性に富むゴム材などによって構成された伸縮可能な蛇腹状のブーツ15によって覆われており、該ブーツ15の一端(前端)は、ネジ軸3の前端部外周に嵌着され、同ブーツ15の他端(後端)は、アクチュエータケース10の第2のケース11Bに突設された筒状部11cの外周に嵌着されている。
 ところで、図2に示すように、ナット8のドラム部8B内にネジ軸3のフランジ部3Aとの間に形成された軸方向空間には、複数の皿バネ16が軸方向に積層された状態で収容されており、これらの皿バネ16は、ネジ軸3のフランジ部3Aに当接するリテーナ17によってその軸方向位置が規制されている。なお、これらの皿バネ16は、ネジ軸3をナット8から離間させる方向(後方)に付勢する付勢手段を構成している。
 ここで、伝動機構5の構成を図2に基づいて以下に説明する。
 伝動機構5は、電動モータ2の出力軸2aの回転を運動変換機構4のナット8へと伝達するものであって、電動モータ2の出力軸2aに取り付けられた前記駆動ギヤ6と、支軸18によって回転可能に支持された中間ギヤ19と、ナット8のドラム部8Bの外周に取り付けられた従動ギヤ20を備えている。
 上記中間ギヤ19は、アクチュエータケース10のケース本体11とガイド部材14との間に架設された支軸18によって回転可能に支持されており、大小異径の大径中間ギヤ19aと小径中間ギヤ19bを一体に備えている。ここで、大径中間ギヤ19aは、駆動ギヤ6に噛合しているが、その径は駆動ギヤ6の径よりも大きく設定されている。また、小径中間ギヤ19bは、これよりも大径の従動ギヤ20に噛合しており、従動ギヤ20は、ナット8のドラム部8Bの外周に嵌着されている。
 次に、本発明の特徴的な構成を図3~図11に基づいて以下に説明する。
 図3は本発明に係る電動アクチュエータのナットとネジ軸部分の平面図、図4は図3の4-4線断面図、図5は本発明に係る電動アクチュエータのネジ軸のネジ山に形成された溝部を示す部分斜視図、図6は同電動アクチュエータにおけるナットとネジ軸との螺合部へのグリースの供給状態を示す部分平面図、図7は図3の7-7線断面図、図8は図7の8部拡大詳細図、図9は図7の9部拡大詳細図、図10は図9の10-10線断面図、図11は図9の11-11線断面図である。
 本実施の形態においては、図3、図7及び図8に示すように、ネジ軸3の外周には、螺旋状の雄ネジ3bが軸方向(前後方向)に沿って形成されているが、この雄ネジ3bのネジ山3b1は、図5及び図8に示すように、斜面状の2つのフランク(歯面)3b11とこれらのフランク3b11同士を繋ぐ頂部3b12によってそれぞれ構成されている。そして、本実施の形態においては、ネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1には、図5~図9に示すように、頂部3b12から底部3b13側に向かって切り欠かれた略矩形溝状の溝部21がそれぞれ形成されている。ここで、図4、図5及び図8に示すように、各溝部21は、各ネジ山3b1の高さ方向において頂部3b12から底部3b13までの範囲の深さhでそれぞれ形成されている。つまり、各溝部21の深さhは、ネジ山3bの高さHよりも小さく設定されている(h<H)。
 ところで、本実施の形態では、図4に示すように、各ネジ山3b1には、周方向に7つの溝部21が等角度ピッチでそれぞれ形成されている。そして、ネジ軸3の雄ネジ3bには、図3に示すように、複数の溝部21が軸方向(図3の左右方向)に沿って同一直線上に配置されている。従って、ネジ軸3の雄ネジ3bには、周方向に計7本配置された軸方向に沿う直線上に複数の溝部21がそれぞれ配置されている。なお、各ネジ山3b1における溝部21の数は7つに限らず、複数であれば任意である。
 また、図5及び図6に示すように、ネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1にそれ形成された溝部21(図5及び図6には1つのみ図示)の2つのフランク3b11側の周縁には、溝部21から周方向に離れるにしたがって図示の角度αで広がるテーパ面3cがそれぞれ形成されている。なお、本実施の形態では、ネジ山3bの2つのクランク3b11の溝部21の周縁の全域に亘ってテーパ面3cを形成したが、このテーパ面3cは、溝部21の周縁の一部に形成しても良い。
 他方、本実施の形態に係る電動アクチュエータ1においては、ナット8のスリーブ部8Aの軸方向一端(図7及び図9の左端部)内周には、当該ナット8のネジ孔の径よりも大きな外径を有するグリース保持部22が形成されており、このグリース保持部22は、潤滑剤である粘度の高いグリースを収容可能である。そして、ナット8のスリーブ部8Aの軸方向一端部(前端部)外周には、グリース保持部22の軸方向開口端を覆う蓋部材23が取り付けられている。
 上記蓋部材23は、ゴム材によって一体に成形されており、図9に示すように、グリース保持部22の軸方向開口端を軸方向から覆うリング板状の蓋部23Aと、ナット8と同軸の円筒状の筒部23Bとを一体に備えている。ここで、図9に示すように、蓋部材23の筒部23Bの端部内周には、リング状の凸部23aが全周に亘って一体に形成されており、ナット8のスリーブ部8Aの端部外周には、リング溝状の凹部8bが全周に亘って一体に形成されている。
 而して、蓋部材23は、筒部23Bの端部内周に形成された凸部23aをナット8のスリーブ部8Aの端部外周に形成された凹部8bに嵌め込むことによってナット8のスリーブ部8Aの端部外周にワンタッチで簡単に取り付けられる。なお、本実施の形態では、蓋部材23の筒部23B側に凸部23aを形成し、ナット8のスリーブ部8A側に凹部8bを形成したが、これとは逆に蓋部材23の筒部23B側に凹部を形成し、ナット8のスリーブ部8B側に凸部を形成し、これらの凹部と凸部を互いに嵌合させることによっても、蓋部材23をナット8のスリーブ部8Aの端部外周にワンタッチで簡単に取り付けることができる。
 ところで、本実施の形態では、図9に示すように、蓋部材23の筒部23Bの外径とナット8のスリーブ部8Aの外径は同径とされている。また、蓋部材23の蓋部23Aの内周には、前方(図9の左方)に向かって一体に突出する円筒状のスクレーパ部(掻き取り部)23bが一体に形成されており、このスクレーパ部23bの前端内周には、前方(図9の左方)に向かって拡径するテーパ面23b1が形成されている。ここで、図11に示すように、スクレーパ部23bの内径φDは、ネジ軸3の外径φdよりも若干大きく設定されており(φD>φd)、したがって、スクレーパ部23bとネジ軸3との間には、径方向のリング状の微小隙間δ(=(D-d)/2)が形成されている。
 而して、以上のように構成された電動アクチュエータ1は、不図示の電動パーキングブレーキ装置のアクチュエータとして使用されるが、以下、この電動アクチュエータ1の作用を図12を参照しながら以下に説明する。なお、電動アクチュエータ1は、アクチュエータケース10の外周に嵌着されたスナップリング24(図1及び図2参照)を用いて電動パーキングブレーキ装置に位置決め固定される。
 図2に示す状態は、ネジ軸3が前進して該ネジ軸3の先端に取り付けられた不図示のブレーキケーブルが弛んでいる状態であって、この状態ではドラムブレーキのブレーキシューがブレーキドラムの内周面から離反している。このため、ブレーキシューとブレーキドラムとの間には摩擦抵抗力が発生せず、電動パーキングブレーキ装置は、パーキングブレーキが解除された状態にあり、ブレーキドラムと車輪は自由に回転することができるために車両の走行が可能である。
 上記状態から、不図示のパーキングブレーキスイッチがON操作されると、電動アクチュエータ1の電動モータ2に通電されて該電動モータ2が起動される。すると、電動モータ2の出力軸2aの回転が伝動機構5によって減速されながら運動変換機構4へと伝達され、電動モータ2の出力軸2aの回転がネジ軸3の直線運動(後進運動)へと変換される。
 すなわち、電動モータ2の出力軸2aの回転は、駆動ギヤ6から中間ギヤ19へと減速されて伝達され、該中間ギヤ19が所定速度で回転する。そして、この中間ギヤ19の回転は、互いに噛合する小径中間ギヤ19bと従動ギヤ20を経て減速されて運動変換機構4のナット8に伝達され、該ナット8が所定の速度で回転する。
 上述のように、ナット8が回転すると、このナット8に螺合挿通するネジ軸3が図12(a)に示すように直線移動して後退し、該ネジ軸3の先端に取り付けられた不図示のブレーキケーブルが引っ張られる。すると、電動パーキングブレーキ装置のパーキングブレーキレバーが操作されてブレーキシューが拡開し、該ブレーキシューがブレーキドラムの内周面に押圧されるために両者間に摩擦抵抗力が発生する。そして、この摩擦抵抗力によってブレーキドラムと車輪の回転が制動されるため、車両はパーキングブレーキ状態となる。
 上記パーキングブレーキ状態を解除するために不図示のパーキングブレーキスイッチがOFF操作されると、電動モータ2が逆回転され、その出力軸2aの回転が前記と同様の伝達経路を経て運動変換機構4のナット8に伝達されるため、該ナット8が逆回転する。このようにナット8が逆回転すると、該ナット8に螺合挿通するネジ軸3が図12(b)の矢印方向に直線移動して前進し、電動アクチュエータ1は、図2に示す状態に復帰するため、電動パーキングブレーキ装置が解除された状態となる。
 而して、本実施の形態では、ナット8の軸方向一端内周に、当該ナット8のネジ孔の径よりも大きな外径を有してグリースを収容可能なグリース保持部22を形成し、該グリース保持部22の軸方向開口端を覆う蓋部材23を設けたため、ナット8の回転によってネジ軸3がナット8内に侵入しても、該ネジ軸3に塗布されたグリースがナット8のグリース保持部22に保持される。このため、図12(a),(b)に示すように、ナット8の端面に余分なグリースが溜まることがなく、溜まったグリースがナット8の回転による遠心力によって周囲に飛散することがない。
 また、ナット8のグリース保持部22に貯留されたグリースは、ネジ軸3がナット8から出てくる際に該ネジ軸3に塗布されるが、このグリースの一部は、ネジ軸3のネジ山3b1に形成された複数の溝部21に保持される。そして、複数の溝部21に保持されたグリースは、図6に矢印にて示すように、溝部21から当該ネジ軸3のネジ山3b1とナット8のネジ山8a1との間の狭い隙間(バックラッシュ)Δに供給され、互いに摺動するネジ軸3の雄ネジ3bとナット8の雌ネジ8aとの螺合部に供給される。このため、ナット8とネジ軸3の螺合部の摩擦が抑制されて運動変換効率が高められるとともに、螺合部の摩耗が抑えられてナット8とネジ軸3の耐久性が高められる。
 ここで、本実施の形態では、図5及び図6に示すように、ネジ軸3のネジ山3b1に形成された各溝部21のフランク3b11側の周縁に、該溝部21から周方向に離れるにしたがって広がる傾斜角αのテーパ面3cをそれぞれ形成したため、各溝部21に保持されたグリースが図6に矢印にて示すようにテーパ面3cによるくさび効果によってナット8とネジ軸3との螺合部(隙間Δ)に引き摺り込まれて効率良く供給され、このグリースが螺合部の効果的な潤滑に供せられる。
 また、図12(b)に示すように、ネジ軸3が前進する場合、グリース保持部22に収容されたグリースの塗布量が蓋部材23によって規制されるため、必要十分な量のグリースがネジ軸3の広範囲に亘って塗布される。この結果、ネジ軸3の部分的なグリース不足(油膜切れ)が発生することがなく、ナット8とネジ軸3との螺合部の潤滑が十分になされ、運動変換効率が高められるとともに、螺合部の摩耗が抑制されてナット8とネジ軸3の耐久性が高められる。
 そして、本実施の形態においては、図11に示すように、蓋部材23の蓋部23Aの内周に形成されたスクレーパ部23bの内径φDをネジ軸3の外径φdよりも若干大きく設定して(φD>φd)両者の間に径方向の微小隙間δを形成したため、ナット8のグリース保持部22に貯留されているグリースがスクレーパ部23bによって掻き取られて図12(b)に示すようにネジ軸3に当該グリースが所定厚さδで均一に塗布される。この場合、スクレーパ部23bは、ネジ軸3に対して非接触であるため、両者間に摩擦抵抗力が発生せず、ネジ軸3が抵抗なくスムーズに摺動することができる。また、スクレーパ部23bがネジ軸3から外力を受けることがないため、該スクレーパ部23bの損傷が防がれて蓋部材23の耐久性が高められる。
 ところで、ナット8は、ラジアルベアリング9に挿通され組み付けられるが、蓋部材23の筒部23Bの外径がナット8のスリーブ部8Aの外径以下(本実施の形態では同径)であるため、蓋部材23をナット8に装着した後にラジアルベアリング9に挿通しても、蓋部材23がラジアルベアリング9に干渉することなくナット8を組み付けることができる。
 また、本実施の形態では、蓋部材23を柔軟で弾性に富むゴム材で構成したため、該蓋部材23がネジ軸3に万一接触した場合であっても、該蓋部材23の損傷が防がれてその耐久性が高められるという効果も得られる。
 而して、本実施の形態においては、ネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1の一部を頂部3b12から底部3b13側に向かって切り欠くことによって溝部21をそれぞれ形成したため、グリースを保持するための溝部21を加工性良く容易に形成することができ、加工工数の削減と加工時間の短縮によって当該電動アクチュエータ1のコストダウンを図ることができる。
 また、図3に示すように、複数の溝部21をネジ軸3の軸方向に沿う同一直線上に配置したため、複数の溝部21を加工性良く簡単に形成することができる。そして、本実施の形態では、溝部21をネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1の高さ方向において頂部3b12から底部3b13までの範囲の深さでそれぞれ形成し(溝部21の深さhをネジ山3b1の高さHよりも小さく設定(h<H)))し、底部3b13を越えてその径方向内側へと溝部21を形成しないようにしたため、該溝部21の加工性が高められるとともに、ネジ軸3の溝部21による局部的な強度低下が抑えられる。因みに、ネジ軸3のネジ山3b1を切削加工によって形成する場合、溝部21をネジ山3b1の底部3b13よりも深くすると、溝部21にバリが入り込み、このバリを取り除くことが容易ではない。
 さらに、本実施の形態では、グリースを保持するための溝部21がネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1の周方向にそれぞれ7つ形成されているため、複数のネジ山21によって多くのグリースを保持することができ、複数の溝部21に保持された多くのグリースによってナット8とネジ軸3との螺合部が効果的に潤滑される。また、ネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1について各7つの溝部21を周方向に等角度ピッチで形成したため、ナット8とネジ軸3との螺合部にグリースが周方向に均一に供給され、このことによっても螺合部がグリースによって効果的に潤滑される。
 なお、以上の実施の形態では、グリースを保持するための複数の溝部21をネジ軸3の各ネジ山3b1に形成したが、同様の溝部をナット8の雌ネジ8aのネジ山8a1に形成しても良く、或いはネジ軸3のネジ山3b1とナット8のネジ山8a1の双方に溝部を形成しても良い。
 また、以上は本発明を車両用ドラムブレーキの電動パーキングブレーキ装置に備えられる電動アクチュエータに対して適用した形態について説明したが、本発明は、他の任意の装置に用いられる電動アクチュエータに対しても同様に適用可能である。
 その他、本発明は、以上説明した実施の形態に適用が限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲及び明細書と図面に記載された技術的思想の範囲内で種々の変形が可能であることは勿論である。
 

Claims (6)

  1.  電動モータと、該電動モータによって回転駆動される第1ネジ部材と、該第1ネジ部材に直線移動可能に螺合挿通する第2ネジ部材を備え、これらの第1ネジ部材と第2ネジ部材の各ネジ山は、2つのフランクとこれらのフランク同士を繋ぐ頂部によってそれぞれ構成され、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材との螺合部をグリースによって潤滑する電動アクチュエータにおいて、
     前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方のネジ山に、前記頂部から底部側に向かって切り欠かれた溝部をそれぞれ形成するとともに、
     前記溝部のフランク側の周縁の少なくとも一部に、該溝部から周方向に離れるにしたがって広がるテーパ面をそれぞれ形成したことを特徴とする電動アクチュエータ。
  2.  複数の前記溝部は、前記第1ネジ軸と前記第2ネジ軸の少なくとも一方の軸方向に沿う同一直線上に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電動アクチュエータ。
  3.  前記溝部は、前記第1ネジ部材と前記第2ネジ部材の少なくとも一方のネジ山の周方向に複数形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の電動アクチュエータ。
  4.  前記溝部は、前記ネジ山の高さ方向において前記頂部から前記底部までの範囲の深さでそれぞれ形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1~3の何れかに記載の電動アクチュエータ。
  5.  前記第1ネジ部材の軸方向一端内周に、前記第2ネジ部材の最大径よりも大きな外径を有して該第2ネジ部材との間に前記グリースを収容可能なグリース保持部を形成し、
     前記グリース保持部の軸方向開口端を覆う蓋部材を設けたことを特徴とする請求項1~4の何れかに記載の電動アクチュエータ。
  6.  前記蓋部材は、蓋部と前記第1ネジ部材と同軸の筒部とを一体に備え、
     前記蓋部の内周に円筒状のスクレーパ部を形成し、該スクレーパ部の内径を前記第2ネジ部材の外径よりも若干大きく設定して該スクレーパ部と前記第2ネジ部材との間に径方向の微小隙間を形成したことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の電動アクチュエータ。
