Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a seat belt webbing for a seat belt system of a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Seat belt webbing for seat belt systems may comprise color highlighted elements, such as a stripe. Such a stripe may, for example, extend along the longitudinal extension of the seat belt webbing.
  • Seat belt webbing typically comprises a weave of warp yarns and weft yarns, wherein color contrasting stripes run along the longitudinal extent parallel to the warp yarns.
  • the color contrasting stripes emphasize the type of webbing of the seat belt webbing at the edges of the stripes, wherein the type of webbing must meet technical requirements for restraining a passenger. Accordingly, such strips often comprise blurred or jagged edges, which negatively affects the desired visual effect of the color contrasting stripes.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a seat belt webbing for a seat belt system which overcomes the above dis-advantages.
