Abstract
Un método para mejorar la efectividad de la reducción por fusión de portadores de metal oxídico, particularmente mineral de hierro, y mejorar laeficiencia del calor de los combustibles usados en el proceso de reducción por fusión que se realiza en un recipiente de reacción que contiene un bano fundidocon una capa de escoria y en el cual los gases de reacción que escapan del bano fundido se queman retardadamente con gases oxidantes, transfiriendo el calorresultante al bano fundido y losagentes de reducción, mineral y carbono, se alimentan a la fusión, por lo menos parcialmente, desde la parte superior, através del espacio de gas del recipiente de reacción, porque estos agentes de reacción, mineral metalífero y carbono, se agregan en forma compacta, comomaterial compuesto, con o sin otras sustancias acompanantes al bano fundido.
