In addition to the optical signal devices, acoustic signal devices, for example alarm clocks 25, can also be provided for the top and bottom positions of the liquid level. The lower alarm clock, which must be de-energized when the water level is normal, is connected via a relay 26 and is fed from a power source 20. The relay normally keeps their circuit open at its armature 27. From this circuit the starting circuit of a motor 29 is controlled by means of a further relay 22 via its armature 31, which drives a feed pump 29 for the boiler water.

As soon as the boiler water enters below the tip of the lowest electrode, the lowest of the signal lamps will go out and at the same time the relay 26 will drop its anchor, so that the alarm clock 25 is switched on and the circuit of the motor 2S is connected to the armature contact via a resistor 30.) 1 - closed and the boiler feed pump is activated.

The insulation of the electrode rods 5, which must extend over their entire length, is carried out in such a way that the rods are initially covered with an insulating layer for the sake of safety.

Furthermore, these are arranged within a tube 6 made of heat-resistant insulating material, preferably quartz glass or porcelain, which extends up to near the upper end of the electrode, so that only the one, which is also otherwise stripped of any insulation, is provided with a small metal head 5 ', for example screwed tip protrudes from the tube. This metal head is supported on the edge of the insulating tube so that it absorbs the pressure acting axially on the electrode rod. The insulating tubes 6 are installed in the sealing device for the electrodes at the lower end in such a way that they are completely sealed against liquid. The insulating tubes 6 are held in their mutual position by spacer disks 7.

3 shows that four electrodes 5 with their insulating tubes 6 are provided in a circular arrangement

The part of the vessel 4 lying below the nozzle 3 is permanently filled with water, since it cannot initially run empty even when the boiler 1 is completely emptied. Since this part of the vessel has a relatively considerable length and water cannot circulate in it, it will essentially assume the temperature of the outer space at which insulation-resistant properties can be achieved with ease.

Also, a piece above the sealing point in the lower end of the vessel, a jacket 8 is provided for water cooling, which can either be switched on permanently to keep the lower part of the vessel cool with certainty, or which is only used when heating up the boiler, because then under certain circumstances it is heated to a harmful temperature
Water can get into the lower part of the vessel. Due to the low temperature at the lower one
At the end of the water level vessel 4, the seal itself can be designed to be relatively simple. The
The vessel is tightly closed here by a metal body 10 screwed tightly by means of a flange 9.

In this four bores are provided through which the electrode rods 5 are guided.

As Fig. 2 shows on an enlarged scale, the rods are surrounded by a stuffing box inserted from the outside, which consists of an insulating part 11 and a screwed-in metal pressure part and acts on an insulating packing, preferably a rubber ring 12, which has a support one from the inside of the metal body 10 in this deeply inserted insulating sleeve 13 is found. On the inside of the body 10 are insulating sleeves M for
Mounted quartz tubes 6, which are provided with radial grooves 15 or the like on their underside.

All four pipes are then arranged within a sheet metal cylinder 17, which approximately hugs the interior of the vessel 4 and which is filled in full with insulating potting compound 18, such as is used, for example, for potting cable sleeves. This mass seals both the quartz tubes 6 against the support flanges of the sleeves 14 and the electrode rods 5 against the insert body 10 a. b by putting the potting compound through the grooves 15 into the over the sleeves. 13 left spaces 19 penetrates.

Through the in the vessel 4; At the prevailing pressure, the sealing material is pressed extremely firmly between the parts to be sealed. That for the arrangement. The principle chosen at the point of introduction of laying it in a room filled with relatively cool liquid can be implemented in a wide variety of ways. For example, according to FIG. 5, electrodes 5 to be introduced directly into the boiler, for example for heating it, can be arranged within cylindrical bodies 24 attached to the underside of boiler 1 or special boiler parts, which are connected to the boiler interior, and through their bottom be introduced.

Apart from high-pressure steam boilers, sealing in cooled rooms can also be used for pressure rooms filled with vapors, in which case the one containing the sealing point
Must be kept filled with condensation liquid. In the case of gas-filled rooms, a special liquid filling can also be provided for the sealing vessel. Finally, it is sometimes recommended, e.g. B. when the electrical insulation and sealing materials through the boiler contents
