Legierungsmittel
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Legieren von Eisen oder Stahl mit Molybdän.
Es ist bekannt, zur Herstellung einer solchen Legierung das Molybdän dem geschmolzenen Eisenmetall in Form von Molybdändioxyd-Pulver zuzufügen. Um hiebei einerseits den als Folge der pulverförmigen Beschaffenheit leicht eintretenden Verlust an Molybdändioxyd zu vermeiden, durch den die Wirtschaftlichkeit des Verfahrens beeinträchtigt wird, und um andererseits die Handhabung beim Legierungsvorgang zu vereinfachen, wird das Molybdändioxyd nach der Erfindung dem flüssigen Eisen in Form von Briketts zugesetzt, in die es durch Pressen mit einer relativ kleinen Menge eines Bindemittels gemischt gebracht wird. Auf diese Weise wird gleichzeitig die Oxydation des Molybdändioxyds, welches bei der Schmelztemperatur von Eisen

Als Bindemittel bei der Herstellung der Briketts wird zweckmässig destilliertes Pech verwendet, wobei etwa 9 Teilen Molybdändioxyd 1 Teil Pech zugesetzt wird, welcher zur vollständigen Reduktion des Dioxyds ausreicht.
PATENTANSPRÜCHE : l. Verfahren zur Herstellung von molybdänhaltigen Eisenlegierungen unter Verwendung von Molybdändioxyd, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Molybdändioxyd in Brikettform mit einer relativ kleinen Menge eines Bindemittels gepresst dem flüssigen Eisen zugesetzt wird.

The invention relates to a method for alloying iron or steel with molybdenum.
It is known to add molybdenum to the molten ferrous metal in the form of molybdenum dioxide powder to produce such an alloy. In order to avoid, on the one hand, the loss of molybdenum dioxide, which occurs as a result of the powdery nature and which adversely affects the economy of the process, and on the other hand, to simplify handling during the alloying process, the molybdenum dioxide according to the invention is added to the liquid iron in the form of briquettes into which it is brought into being mixed with a relatively small amount of a binder by pressing.
