Process for the production of an insulation material for electrical lines, as well as for the production of articles of clothing that insulate against electricity.

The method according to the present invention aims at the manufacture of a type of leather which is used as clothing which is worn for protection against the electric current
 EMI1.1

The leather to be processed is fat-tanned using fish oil with alternating drying and fulling. In the course of this tanning process, i. H. Before complete) 'development of the tanning, a mixture of approximately 4 parts rosin, 2 parts shellac, 5 parts paraffin oil, 10 parts linseed oil varnish and 5 parts turpentine oil is added to the leather in an amount of approximately 5 kg per hide below 50 ° C. The leather is then drummed for 6 hours and then dried at 30-40 ° C.

Then each skin is coated with the above preparation with the addition of 2 parts paraffin and drummed until the leather heats up by itself to about 400 ('. After thorough drying, the leather is ready for use.

The leather thus prepared has the property that it depends on the treatment and the thickness
 EMI1.2
in damp places or in mountains it is significantly larger than in all known clothing, since the inner leather layer is due to the poor absorption of this leather by cold water
 EMI1.3
The handling of a glove with a double layer of leather is more comfortable than with a layer of leather. because every single layer of leather can be thinner if used twice. x. R. 1 mm. whereby a certain elasticity is achieved. In contrast, it is when using

exposed and only caused a breakdown of the Lede at higher voltage.
