Device for the automatic unlocking, closing and locking of the doors of the guide and shield on torpedo underwater broadside tubes.
In the known devices for the automatic unlocking, closing and locking of the doors of the guide shield of torpedo underwater broadsides the opening of the doors is done after unlocking by the water pressure, the wings depending on the force of the

The axes of rotation of the blades a and b are denoted by h. In the extension of the axis of the upper wing a spindle n is arranged, which at its one end m, 'is provided with a thread o of a steep incline, so that it is in a nut designed as a nut

Arrow F is moved.
Since the wings a, b are prevented from rotating by the claws k, m, they are carried along when the spindles n, n1 are moved, namely wing a to the right and wing b to the left by the same distance. The former movement unlocks the wings a and b by pulling the pins v of the wing b out of the holes y of the wing a. The eyelets f and g have then come to the position shown in FIG. 3, which shows that when each wing is displaced by the length of the clearance x, the claws k, 1It disengage and thus the rotary movement of the wings is made possible.
If the spindles n and n1 are now shifted further in the direction of the arrows F and pt, the wings a, b, since they are prevented from further longitudinal displacement by the eyelets g, must open due to the effect of the steep thread o. The wings are opened so far that the torpedo has a completely free path and especially that its screw or other parts hit the flights! is avoided.
When the ejection device is brought in, the double lever 1 is returned to its original position by the meeting of the stops 5 and 6.
In the reverse order, the following movements take place: The wings a, b are first turned into the final position by the longitudinal displacement of the spindles n. N1, since they are prevented from longitudinal displacement by the adjacent end surfaces of the claws k, 7n. As soon as the claws k, m have come before their corresponding shoulders, the wings take part in the longitudinal displacement of the spindles n, t, so that
