Verfahren zur Herstellung einer elastischen Masse.
Der Gegenstand der Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer elastischen Masse, welches auf der Einwirkung des wasserfreien Formaldehyds auf Leim beruht und darin besteht, dass der Leim mit oder ohne Kasein oder Eiweiss in Phenol und wasserfreiem Glyzerin gelöst wird.
Eine Ausführungsform des Verfahrens besteht darin, dass man eine Emulsion aus einer Lösung von Leim mit oder ohne Kasein oder Eiweiss in Phenol oder entwässertem Glyzerin oder beiden mit Anilin oder Anilin und Schellack (oder einer anderen Harzsäure) allein oder in Verbindung mit Nitrozellulose oder Azetylzellulose mit oder ohne Kampher herstellt und hierauf diese Emulsion mit wasserfreiem Formaldehvd behandelt, beispielsweise durch Mischen der Emulsion mit festem Paraformaldehyd oder mit Glyzerinformaldehyd. welches möglichst wasserfrei ist.
Im nachstehenden wird ein ausführliches Rezept des Verfahrens angegeben : Es werdf-n zunächst zwei Flüssigkeitengesondert erzeugt, welche hier mit A und B bezeichnet werden sollen :
Die Herstellung der Flüssigkeit A ist folgende : 150 g Leim werden in 75 g Phenol und 75 g entwässertem Glyzerin gelöst bei einer Temperatur von 70-80 ('. wodurch man 300 y Lösung erhält.

The subject matter of the invention relates to a process for the production of an elastic mass which is based on the action of the anhydrous formaldehyde on glue and consists in the fact that the glue is dissolved in phenol and anhydrous glycerine with or without casein or protein.
One embodiment of the method is that an emulsion of a solution of glue with or without casein or egg white in phenol or dehydrated glycerine or both with aniline or aniline and shellac (or another resin acid) alone or in conjunction with nitrocellulose or acetyl cellulose with or without camphor and then treating this emulsion with anhydrous formaldehyde, for example by mixing the emulsion with solid paraformaldehyde or with glycerol formaldehyde. which is as free of water as possible.
