   Der Gegenstand der Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Versteifung und Formung von Gewebe-und Schnurenden und bezweckt dieselbe, die bisher   gebräuchliche   Einklemmung der   Gewebe- oder Schnurenden   in geeignet geformte Metallstreifen oder Blech zu ersetzen. 



   Das Verfahren besteht darin, dass man das zu versteifende und zu formende Gewebe-

 den zu versteifenden Teil allseitig umgibt bzw. durchdringt. Bringt man dann das mit der Lösung angefeuchtete Gewebe-oder Schnurende in ein Gesenke entsprechender Form, so bildet sich an freier Luft oder der Wahl des Versteifungsmittels entsprechend durch geeignete chemische Einflüsse an dem mit der Lösung befeuchteten Teile des   Arbeitsgutes   die gewünschte widerstandsfähige, harte Form. Als erstarrbare Klebmasse kann Nitro-   zelluloselösung   und dgl. oder Leim und Formaldehyd usw. verwendet werden. 



   Dieses Verfahren gestattet, den Nachteil der bisherigen Einklemmung der Gewebeoder Schnurenden in   Blechhülsen     zu behoben,   der darin besteht, dass sich die Blechbeschläge sehr leicht von den Enden ablösen, wodurch insbesondere die   Schnüre   dann nur   in um-     ständlicher   Weise zu gebrauchen sind oder ganz unbrauchbar werden.
