In Wirklichkeit wird ein vollständiger Abschluss nie erzielt, da ja stets etwas Dampf austreten muss, um das Dehnungsrohr e warm zu halten.

   Wird die Leitung a ausser Betrieb gesetzt, verschwindet also der Dampfdruck aus derselben, so öffnet die Feder   d   das Ventil c mit grossem Hub und bei neuerlicher Inbetriebsetzung reinigen die zuerst austretenden   Wasser-und Dampfmengen   den Sitz. 



   In der Ausführung nach Fig. 2 ist die Wirkungsweise analog. 



   In der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 3 wird das Ventil c durch den Bügel k solange offen gehalten, bis in dem Gehäuse b eine gewisse Temperatur erreicht ist ; bei dieser Temperatur stösst das Ventil c auf die Stossstange f und bei weiterer Temperaturerhöhung gibt der Bügel durch seinen   Überhub   das Ventil frei, wodurch die jeweilige Ventileröffnung von den   Längenänderungen   des aussenliegenden   Dehnungsrohresf abhängig   wird. 



    Fói Ausserbetriebsetzung   erkaltet der Bügel k und zieht das Ventil c mit grossem Hub von seinem Sitz ab.
