HEINRICHPAGLINGRAZ.
HEINRICHPAGLINGRAZ. Hoof atolls with continuous steel core.
The hoof cleats forming the subject of the present invention differed significantly from the previously known gowordenon cleats in use. that they contra the cleat body as well as possibly the Gowinder part! have a continuous steel core, around which the softer and less brittle metal forming the stud body and the thread is arranged.
The drawing below shows, for example, one implemented according to the invention
EMI1.1
sections and in Fig. 4 in horizontal sections.
As can be seen, the stud has a core d (core) made of good steel, which runs through the entire length of the actual stud body a and possibly also the threaded part b, around which the core is made of softer, less brittle materials than steel, such as wrought iron, metal, phosphor bronze , formed from an alloy, etc. jacket f is arranged, which corresponds in its external shape to the desired shape of the studs.
In the case of a jacket made of wrought iron (puddle) iron, the (welded) jacket f formed from plate-shaped pieces is pushed over the core d and firmly united with it by forging, pressing or drawing, then the whole is brought into the desired shape and then closed hardened again; In the case of sheaths made of castable metal, the same is simply poured around the core and finally the stud is made.
Such studs have the advantage over the known designs that they are significantly more durable, on the one hand more durable than studs made of cast iron, since the steel stud wears significantly less quickly than the soft metal, and on the other hand also more durable than pure steel studs, since the brittleness of the steel due to the Coating with softer, tougher metals is significantly mitigated. Furthermore they have one
