Abstract
Selon ce procédé pour fabriquer, grâce à un traitement thermique, des briquettes à partir de préformes formées dans un dispositif (1), on travaille avec des préformes, exemptes de charbon agglutiné fondu et dont le poids spécifique est supérieur au poids en vrac du sable quartzeux, grâce à un réglage des conditions de mélange et de la densification, et on introduit (en 4) ces préformes dans un four tubulaire rotatif (3), dont la partie inférieure est remplie de sable quartzeux, d'une manière suffisante pour que le traitement thermique s'effectue dans un lit d'immersion en sable quartzeux (7), les briquettes sortant en (5). Application notamment à la formation de briquettes satisfaisant à des exigences chimiques et physiques spécifiques.
