Abstract

Un procédé, permettant d'obtenir des peaux de chamois synthétiques entièrement similaires à des peaux naturelles, consiste à partir de tout matériau synthétique connu en feuille du type formé par une matrice de polyuréthane poreuse dans laquelle sont incorporées des fibres synthétiques et par une couche pelliculaire de revêtement en résine polyuréthane compacte appliquée sur une face de la matrice, et à la refendre en deux couches, une première identique au matériau de départ, comportant la matrice et la couche de revêtement, mais plus mince, et une deuxième composée seulement de la matrice; on soumet ensuite cette dernière, après polissage, à une opération de teinture effectuée selon la technologie des textiles, suivie par une opération de pliage également typique du traitement des textiles, et éventuellement par un estampage et par un nouveau polissage.
