 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

  "Steam production plant with controlled circulation of a liquid"
The invention relates to a steam production plant with controlled circulation of a liquid, in which the circulation liquid is cooled before entering a pump which delivers it.

   In order to avoid, in installations of this kind, in the case where a pump ensuring the circulation of water is connected by its suction pipe to the steam generator itself, a partial vaporization of the water in the pump, which would influence extremely detrimental to its performance, it has already been proposed to introduce the feed water directly into the suction pipe of the pump. The desired cooling of the circulating water is thus obtained before it enters the pump. Contrary to this arrangement, the cooling of the liquid kept in circulation in a controlled manner does not take place, according to the invention, directly, but indirectly in a heat exchanger. Indirect cooling of this kind provides a number of advantages.

   In

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 In fact, when the supply is stopped, the cooling of the circulating liquid does not stop abruptly because the refrigerant contained in the heat exchanger is able to store a certain amount of heat. As a result, when the power is off, the circulation pump will not immediately run empty. In addition, with impure feed water, clogging of the pump and the boiler can be avoided, since the heat exchanger can be established in the form of a sludge precipitation vessel. On the other hand, in an installation according to the invention, the cooling can be influenced not only by the adjustment of the quantity of coolant liquid but also by the addition and removal of the cooling surface.

   The accompanying drawing shows schematically, by way of example, several embodiments of the invention.

   Fig. 1 shows a steam production plant with controlled water circulation and a heat exchanger for cooling the circulating water, in which plant any liquid can be used as the refrigerant liquid.

   Fig. 2 shows a similar arrangement in which the feed water serves as the coolant in the heat exchanger.

   Fig. 3 shows an embodiment in which the indirect heating by the gases of the water to be vaporized is effected by means of a fluid carrying out a cycle, this fluid being cooled in the heat exchanger by the water to be vaporized. 'food.

   Fig. 4 shows a variant of an embodiment according to fig.2.

   Fig. 5 shows an installation for the production of high-voltage steam, in which the water, kept circulating in a controlled manner in the high-pressure part, is cooled in a drum or body of the low-pressure part thereof. installation, this drum being in the form of a heat exchanger.

   In f ig. 1, 1 denotes a drum or body of water and steam, in which the actual vaporization takes place. The steam produced is conveyed through line 2 to a device using steam (not shown) while the part of the non-vaporized water in drum 1 goes through pipe 3 to a pump 4, in% which it does. undergoes an increase in pressure. The pump delivers the water in a pipe 5, which is subjected to the action of the gases from the furnace and which opens into the drum 1. The pipe 3 comprises a part 6 in a coil, which is placed in an exchanger. heat 7. This exchanger receives a refrigerant liquid via a pipe 8 which, in its passage through the exchanger 7, causes cooling of the water circulating in the coil 6 towards the pump 4.

   The refractive agent leaves the exchanger 7 through the pipe 9.10 designates a pipe bringing the feed water to the drum 1.

   In this installation, the water arriving at the pump 4 is cooled, before entering this pump, in an indirect manner so intense that it cannot vaporize in the pump, in order to ensure economical operation of the pump. this one. When the power supply is stopped, there is no abrupt cessation of the cooling of the circulating water, because the pipe 8 is connected to an independent power supply device.

 of that of line 10. This is possible because in this case a refrigerant drawn from any source can be used for cooling.

   In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the feed water is used as coolant, which is to be led into the drum 1, and which, in this example, is led through the line 8 into the heat exchanger 7 and flows into drum 1 through line 11.

   Fig. 3 shows the application of the invention in combination with an installation in which the indirect heating by gas of the water to be vaporized is effected by means of a fluid carrying out a cycle. This cycle comprises a coil 12 located in the water and steam drum 1, a coil 13 located in the heat exchanger 7 and a part 14 subjected to the boiler gases. The fluid is kept circulating in this cycle by means of the pump 4. To ensure indirect cooling of the fluid before it enters the pump 4, the feed water is conducted through the pipe 8 into the heat exchanger. heat 7, which contains the coil 13, is the water then flows through the pipe 11 into the drum 1. In this example also, 2 denotes the pipe through which the produced steam is fed to a user apparatus. . of steam (not shown).

   The arrangement shown in FIG. 4 differs from that shown in FIG. 2 only in that the heat exchanger 7 is in the form of an extension of the water and steam drum 1, this extension extending towards the number 4.

  The coil 6 in which the circulating water is indirectly cooled is arranged in this extension, before the inlet

 in the circulation pump 4, by means of the feed water arriving via line 8.

   In fig. 5, 15, 16 and 17 denote bodies or tubes of the low pressure part of an installation for the production of high pressure steam. 18 and 19 denote the bodies and tubes of the high pressure part of this installation. The water is delivered, by means of the pump 4, and the pipe 21 from the body 19 to the body 18. This circulation pipe 21 comprises a coil 13 located in the body 15 and in which the water arriving at the body. pump 4 is indirectly cooled by the water contained in this body 15. The body 15 therefore represents a heat exchanger for the indirect cooling of the water arriving at the pump 4. It should also be noted that 24,25 denote pipes for supplying feed water and 26, 27 pipes for removing steam from body 16 or from body 19.

   The object of the present invention makes it possible to avoid the formation of sludge deposits in the pump and the boiler, in the event of impure feed water, since the heat exchanger 7, for example, in the arrangement shown in fig.2, take the form of a sludge deposit container. With arrangements according to fig. 1, any desired liquid, such as lye, wash water, etc., can be used as the coolant in the heat exchanger.

  The cooling can be adjusted not only by the quantity of coolant arriving at the heat exchanger 7 or 15, but also by adding and removing cooling surface.
