"Heavy oil burner".
The burner, which is the subject of this patent, is intended for the use of fuels such as: petroleum, kerosene, gas oil, domestic fuel oil, and used motor oil, etc.
It operates by simple depression of the chimney, the necessary depression is much lower than for known burners, and its operation is completely silent.
The dimensions of this burner vary according to the flow rate

desired calorific.
The accompanying drawing shows the burner in section in Figure 1 and in plan in Figure 2.
It consists of a tank 1 in cast iron, steel or copper having a small vertical outer wall 2 and a conical bottom going downward towards the center, in the center there is a watertight vertical wall 3 serving to heat the bottom. burner and thereby obtain volatilization of the fuel, this wall also serves to direct the gases before they exit the burner.
The grid or perforated sheet 4 is also conical with its widest part downwards in order to allow air to be sent to the bottom and to the fuel.
This grate is surmounted by a cast iron collar 5 allowing the burner to be fitted into any heating appliance.
'OPERATION.
The fuel being brought in by a tube 6 flows into the burner halfway between the small exterior vertical wall and the central vertical wall, around which it becomes lodged and volatilizes, this central wall being red during the heating. burner operation. At this point there is oxidation and combustion by the arrival of air through the conical grid. This combustion at certain speed is not perfect, which is why the gases are directed by the central vertical wall and are in a way laminated by the additional air entering through the top of the grate, which ensures. a certain turbulence, an intimate mixture of the oxidizer and the fuel and therefore a perfect oxidation of the combustion gases.
